Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness is here

Hope everyone is doing well.

I haven't weighed this morning - was a little bit distracted by a phone call from my lovely SIL in Australia, to announce the safe arrival of Gabriel Paul and Nell Florence Jean! Gabriel weighed 5lbs 2oz and Nell 4lbs 10oz, so good weights to say they are 3 weeks early.

So I'm a great aunty Grin

Hi all. Half - well done for standing up to dd, and sorry that it was so upsetting. I have to say I am rather relieved to have boys.

Into London and out again today. Breakfast was Alpro yog, lunch was celery, pâté, cheese, 2 boiled eggs. Just had similar for an early tea, eaten at the fridge door with a torch as we have a blooming power cut!!! Isn't it funny how I can always locate the booze even in the dark..... Grin

jan2013 · 22/11/2012 18:57

MrsHerculePoirot · 22/11/2012 19:01

Hurrah Jan - that's fab news on your interview - well done! Glad you are feeling better.

BIWI · 22/11/2012 20:18

That's brilliant, jan!

captainmummy - when we went to see Skyfall, group of teenagers in front of us were texting all the way through the film. Fine - but every time they sent/received one, their phone screens lit up, which was incredibly distracting!

halfthesize · 22/11/2012 20:23

Do you want to go on the spreadsheet? The Wonderful Willie will sort you out if so.

PorkyScratching · 22/11/2012 20:39

Ah, thanks! Thought my post on the other page had gone un noticed :)

Im not weighing, too much weight to lose so just going by clothes sizes just now. Think I have about 6 or 7 dress sizes to lose Shock

Just had celeriac fondant, definitely my favourite way to have celeriac now! Will add it to the recipe thread.

PorkyScratching · 22/11/2012 20:42

Can I ask though, did anyone get a weird texture on the back of their front bottom teeth when starting this WOE? I did both times I started, for the first week - only time I have ever had it! No amount of brushing gets rid of it. Its starting to go away by itself now though.

WineGless · 22/11/2012 20:43

Evening losers and welcome Porky!

Half size - sometimes things have to be said. I don't envy you with grown up DD- no idea how I am going to deal with it when the time comes with my DD.

Jan - am glad you are feeling more positive today and well done on the interview.

Signing out for tonight as having sulk off with Dh

caramelwaffle · 22/11/2012 20:48

"sulk off" Grin

MrsHerculePoirot · 22/11/2012 20:48

Welcome (back) Porky! Soz, didn't mean not to welcome you earlier btw, I think everyone here just assumes everyone is welcome if that makes sense!!! I don't have the teeth thing sorry... but if it goes away that is probably good!

Wine, hope you win your sulk off... Wink

I am really hungry tonight, think it is because I had rubbish yesterday lunchtime. Have had celery and cream cheese as snack and AF is due today/tomorrow so think that is why I am carb craving too. Am trying hard to just through tonight and then I can worry about tomorrow when it arrives!

PorkyScratching · 22/11/2012 20:57

I can't find the recipe thread :( does it still exist?

PorkyScratching · 22/11/2012 21:01

Its ok, I found it! :)

halfthesize · 22/11/2012 21:10

Welcome porky and thanks wine honestly I am winging most of the time, as she is the oldest. Loving 'sulk off'Grin

BIWI · 22/11/2012 21:38

Lovely dinner tonight

1 small cauliflower, cut into florets
2 leeks, sliced
2 shallots, sliced
packet lardons (Sainsbury's do the double packs - use one of the packs)
carton of double cream (300ml)
about 4 oz mature cheddar, grated - more if you like
juice of 1/2 lemon
sprinkling of chilli flakes
black pepper/dried oregano

Boil the cauliflower until tender
In a frying pan, fry the lardons until they start to release their fat, then add the shallots; add black pepper and a sprinkling of oregano and chilli flakes
When softened, add the leeks, and continue frying until the leeks are starting to brown; add the lemon juice
When the cauliflower is cooked, drain and put into a gratin dish
Add the shallots/lardons/leeks
Sprinkle over the cheese, then pour over the cream
Bake in a moderate oven for 30 mins until browned on top

Serve with a green salad

Makes two very generous portions - could run to three or four, depending what other veg you serve with it.

Biwi that sounds absolutely gorgeous and I'm so hungry tonight o could probably eat the whole thing.
Weighed in this morning and have finally got under 10 stone at 9 12.5lbs. Been really busy today so not eaten much, just some ham, cheese and coleslaw, hence I'm starving now and trying to avoid picking at anything I find in the fridge.

cathyandclaire · 22/11/2012 22:19

Some lovely recipes, thanks :) Have been rather boring recently, think dh will kill me if he sees another frittata! So it's pork with porky's sauce and Biwi's cauliflower this weekend....anything with that much cream must be good Grin

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 22/11/2012 22:28

Welcome Porky!
half hope things smooth over soon
Congrats jan well done!
wine I see your sulk off and raise you a manflu, sigh.

I sometimes think there should be a screen in each multiplex reserved for teenagers. Then they can text, talk, rustle, giggle, throw popcorn, fart and exude lynx/britney noxious odours all to themselves.

Have been hungry and thirsty all day, assuming due to my carb binge yesterday. Can def feel the difference and am learning my lesson!

BIWI · 22/11/2012 22:42

No idea how many carbs in that lot, although I can't see it would be that many. The only issue would be if you're dairy sensitive.

Half Many sympathies, I have a "highly strung" 22yr-old so know how difficuly they can be. I'm glad things are settling down for you.

Jan Glad today is a better day and well done on the interview

BIWI That tea sounds amazing! I have been out all day, starting the Christmas shopping. We have shops nearby but I have to travel about an hour to get to a city with really good shops so make the most of it when I can get there. Consequently I have had a ham omelette for breakfast, 2 sausages and some onions (but no bread roll) for lunch, 2 diet cokes and 3 cups of tea. Oddly enough, I am not hungry so have decided not to eat for the sake of it and regard it as my own mini-intermittent-fast!

Boobz · 23/11/2012 04:08

Had a friend over for dinner yesterday and it was carb-central. White wine followed by bread dipped in olive oil, followed by Leek and cheese (with mash potato in it) sausages deep fried in bread crumbs! And then 2 little chocolates which she brought.

Feel shit today as a result. But I have been so good for the past 53 days, that I figured I can have a couple of glasses of wine and some bread and it won't undo all my good work. Don't feel great about it today though.

On the plus side she didn't recognise me (haven't seen her since I started on The Zone and as she pulled up in the dark and I was standing outside in the half light to welcome her, she thought I was my much thinner friend that she assumed I had invited over to dinner too! A huge compliment as this mutual friend is what I would describe as willowy!) So that made my night!

Welcome porky
