Week 4 - Little Black Dress Low Carb Bootcamp - where the going gets tough ...

Morning all!

Come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness

By now, you may be finding it tough going. The weight loss is nothing like it was in the first couple of weeks. In fact, you may even have seen the scales show a gain.

This is quite normal at this stage, as your body is shifting/has shifted into fat-burning mode, and you are now burning only fat. No more water loss. Long-term, sustainable weight loss is likely to settle at 1-2lbs per week.

By now, though, you should be more used to this WOE, and it should seem a more normal way to eat. Hopefully you've sorted out how to plan for times when you're out and about, and have a few strategies up your sleeve for the unexpected. And hopefully you are also better at knowing what does and doesn't work for you.

Here's to a good week to us all. Smile

I tried to buy those noodles yesterday but picked up the wrong ones which were 73% carbs! Will be going back tomorrow to get the right ones!

SingingTunelessly · 23/10/2012 13:07

Yes meet up sounds good. I'm also middle England like Teddy. Don't mind coming to London but trains can be a pain from here hence why I couldn't make the Briffa do.

B: 3 x bacon, 2 x fried eggs and mushrooms. Was hungry this morning.

Just about to have coffee with cream

2ltrs of water so far.

D: Bolognese with buttery leeks and Parmesan cheese.

bucksmum · 23/10/2012 13:56

Meet up sounds good to me! I'm in Bucks so London or anywhere is good for me!!

Hospital is so warm so I reckon I'll sweat off lbs this week!

vnmum · 23/10/2012 14:01

BIWI I am Salisbury way. The reason I don't like London is because I get nervous travelling on my own and worry about getting lost etc. I also feel claustrophobic on the tube when you are going through lifts etc like sheep. I have only been once and it put me off. I just worry I will not know where I am going and it will look obvious so I will be seen as an easy target for crime. Probably stupid I know Smile

If you did decide on london, maybe I could travel with Goldenorangewhippoorwill if she was up for the meetup too, although I would be on the train. No way am I driving in London.

WineGless · 23/10/2012 14:28

Where's princesssparkle? Has she named changed?

fufulina · 23/10/2012 14:37

Hello ladies. Have been quietly getting on and this morning weighed in at 73kg on the nose, which is a healthy BMI. A sodding miracle.

Have revised my target to 66kg, but still aiming for 70kg for Christmas.

Feel remarkably well. Appetite is so firmly under control! Love this woe. Would love to meet up! Am in north London.

WillieWaggledagger · 23/10/2012 14:42

I used to live in London and I feel like that at times too vnmum, it can be horrible

I'm on herts/bucks border so can get to most places easliy

captainmummy · 23/10/2012 15:03

I think we should meet in Salisbury! I used to livethere and love it, and it's accessible from most places (I think)

I'm on Surrey/Sussex border.

EwanHoozami · 23/10/2012 15:10

fufulina brilliant work getting to the 'healthy' BMI Grin

I'd be up for a meet but am in the mild, mild West so we'll see...

BigBroomstickBIWI · 23/10/2012 15:22

Somewhere West of London, easily accessible from the Midlands/North. How about Bath/Oxford?

Fufu missed that, that's fab

Have just had nice work lunch in fitzrovia and am on the train home again now - my job is never normally this nice! Was Italian resto so had cured meat antipasti followed by grilled fish, which was nice, but sadly the resto's specialty was ravioli so most of their creative energy went into that! They even had ravioli puddings. Coffee with cream afterwards - haven't had full caffeine hit for a while so am buzzing now, and curiously it has made me quite hungry. I managed to resist the beautiful petit fours.

Yes where is princess sparkle? She's usually such a good spreadsheet filler inner

Sorry I archived you dosh, I don't really look at names, jut whether there's been a weigh in for two weeks. If you do want me to reinstate you in the future just say

Doshusallie · 23/10/2012 15:58

Will do willie. Am on train home too. We should have met for lunch hour's sounds better than mine! I had a big pot of chicken soup with spinach and broccoli but had to leave givetomycolleague the dumplings and noodles.

I'd do a meet up in London or Salisbury. I could meet you off the train vnmum?

And where is teaandthorazine?

caramelwaffle · 23/10/2012 16:32

Good afternoon everyone.

Get well soon MmeL

Good luck with new job spec winegless

Well done AuntM and fufu

Breakfast - scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with Boursin cheese.

Lunch - grilled sardines with mayonnaise
Plus Large bowl of mixed berries: having any fruit is sending me on a sugar high/low I think and giving me a raging appetite.

Not nearly enough water drunk so far today.

Would be interested in a meet up.

AuntieMaggie · 23/10/2012 17:10

I had a pork pie Blush but it was bettrr than the alternatives I considered...

Brilliant hospital appointment they were very pleased with me :o but I want another stone off by xmas

bucksmum · 23/10/2012 17:27

Willie - if you're on bucks/herts border you could be very close to me if you fancy a meet up for coffee and cream anytime !

WillieWaggledagger · 23/10/2012 17:42

ooh yes, that's a good idea!

how's your grannie doing?

caramelwaffle · 23/10/2012 19:14

BIWI Most places are quite accessible for me.

I could get a train out from any number of stations: Euston, Paddington, Kings X etc

cathyandclaire · 23/10/2012 19:36

Can a Bootcamper (light) live on dark chocolate and macademias alone????

Have been officially TERRIBLE!!!! It's as if I HAVE to self destruct every time I get within sniffing distance of my target.

Anyway I have now tidied away those messy packets of deliciousness that were cluttering up my cupboards and am going to cook a load of veg and slurp some water to try and compensate.

Feel a bit sick actually.
