Morning all!

Come and confess all on the Spreadsheet of Wonderfulness

By now, you may be finding it tough going. The weight loss is nothing like it was in the first couple of weeks. In fact, you may even have seen the scales show a gain.

This is quite normal at this stage, as your body is shifting/has shifted into fat-burning mode, and you are now burning only fat. No more water loss. Long-term, sustainable weight loss is likely to settle at 1-2lbs per week.

By now, though, you should be more used to this WOE, and it should seem a more normal way to eat. Hopefully you've sorted out how to plan for times when you're out and about, and have a few strategies up your sleeve for the unexpected. And hopefully you are also better at knowing what does and doesn't work for you.

Here's to a good week to us all. Smile

SHIT I appear to have had two slices of lemon drizzle cake that was brought into work. WHY GOD WHY?!? Was so not worth it.

Well done on resisting chips twice toomuch

tartiflette · 24/10/2012 19:24

Am making steak and that scrumptious braised cabbage for dinner now, which I don't deserve but may help me back into the zone...

Doshusallie · 24/10/2012 19:32

Dh is cooking Thai green curry for tea with green beans.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 24/10/2012 19:43

Winegless I will pm you!! Dosh and anybody else who fancies it very welcome [hgrin]
Had a few bits needing used up so D tonight was a hotpotch. I made myself a roast chicken fillet wrapped in bacon with roast courgette. Side dish of pancetta, leeks and half a red pepper fried in garlic and chilli. With wilted spinach. The saltiness of the bacon and pancetta certainly got my water consumption up! Felt better after it, maybe I was dehydrated after the hell of soft play.

Quick question, when I roast courgette slices, they seem to come out a bit meh, rather bland. How does anyone else do them? Time, temp, spices? All help welcome.

The polite version of BFP is Big Fat Positive but i think Dosh's version suits this thread better!!

Viperidae · 24/10/2012 20:04

I'm having a really hungry day today, I've eaten really well yet somehow I want more.

B: Left over fish pie topped with a poached egg (yum [hsmile])
L: Chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, spring onion, mayo
T: Prawns with chorizo, garlic, baby corn, courgette ribbons.

Probably not enough water though (although I'm not sure it's physically possible to drink 4.5L!)

Brass If you want some sweeties, PM me and I'll get some this weekend and post them to you. I had fruity chews, most of the others were boiled sweets so you wouldn't eat enough to explode. I was still rushing to the loo when I got to work this am [hblush]

BIWI Please don't come after me with the big stick, those sweeties would count as medicinal for Brass!

BigBroomstickBIWI · 24/10/2012 20:11

I once strained a muscle in my side after explosive diarrhoea, having eaten a whole packet of Thornton's Diabetic Toffee. Just warning you ... [hgrin]

aw thanks for thinking of me, i find this thread hard to keep up with now ut everyone is so kind. dd and i are doing a lot better now... getting into the way of things on my own and much more settled :) she has just started walking :):) and i do miss the chat here!

batch cooking sounds a good plan - especially the soup, as i really don't know what else to cook at the minute. i really am stuck in a rut about it. but soup is an excellent idea as dd can eat that as well... and the quiche - can you freeze quiche? dh takes dd one day at the weekend so on that day i could do some cooking.

Doshusallie · 24/10/2012 20:19

Blush typical that I'd put a Tourette's spin on the acronym.

DH's curry was really spicy but nice - managed to leave a lot of the sauce. Where do we stand on green beans?

Snacks today - 1 brazil nut, (I know, random), teaspoon of peanut butter, 2 slices of ham, 1 baby bel. Hungry today!!! Made it to gym, did a 30 minute uphill walk (back not up to running yet) and a 10 minute cycle.

Seems I have pulled a muscle in my neck at Pilates last night - I knew it was bad for you......

WineGless · 24/10/2012 20:23

Jan, you are always welcome on here for the chat! As well as recipe thread there are some recipes in the food section if you don't fancy trawling through

Toomuchmonth - Oooh would be exciting if we can sort something although NE Scotland is a big place Wink all welcome if you want to join us in a 9 hour car journey on Saturday!

frumpet · 24/10/2012 20:33

Did anyone answer my 'how many ounces in a pound' question ? havent got time to trawl back through thread , will be back later when i have broken the spirit of my youngest Smile

Liveinthepresent · 24/10/2012 20:40

Thanks for all the congratulations feels quite funny when no one in RL knows yet as its so early ( apart from DH)
Dosh I like your take on BFP - that is probably an accurate description of my reaction.

Thanks Jessica and Ewan for your views on LC and pregnancy - I remembered a friend was put on a high protein and low ish carb diet for her IVF so am sure it is a perfectly healthy approach. At least I don't have the temptation of wine to contend with now!

Will keep reading for recipes...

tempertemper · 24/10/2012 20:41

Congratulations liveinthepresent! Delighted for you x

Ok day here, want sugar a lot so doing what I can to manage. Had lunch with in laws and nothing bootcamp to eat. Very carby soup I think: really got a hunger on me thus afternoon.

B total. 10blueberries, nuts
L onion and rosemary soup (creamy not caramelised. But clearly potatoey.) Ate half.
Snack - as starving from non lunch carb injection: 4 meatballs and 50g (eeek) macademias.
D chicken brear, brie, prosciutto, leeks and roasted cauli. Blob of total for pud.

Biwi: I know nuts are bad. And berries. Still on period and bloods from Dr say I have low progesterone so maybe am comfort eating today?

Have not.gone too mad, actually pleased with myself really as in years gone by, would have hit the sugar. Small victories.

halfthesize · 24/10/2012 20:51
