If we are really quiet BIWI won't notice,

The trouble is we are just cheating ourselves and its not big and its not clever

But it's Saturday night!

Doshusallie · 14/10/2012 00:22

Wel I HAVE main lined gin this evening. Went to a party that was like the ff'ing Jeremy Kyle show I kid you not. People taking their leggings off on the dance floor, falling over drunk at 9 am, what a waste of a babysitter. I am home now under a blanket with a cup of tea and a pint of water but I did drink about 29 g&ts for survival purposes.

Ate some beef slices with olives from the buffet and have just had my second pkt of pork scratchings of the day.

Debs and biwi those dresses are divine. Couldn't find ures willie? Sad

Biwi tempted to get that one myself, that's a bargain!!!! Nude patent heels?

Right, the rest of home front, my cuppa then bed.

Night all.

Xx

BigBroomstickBIWI · 14/10/2012 00:32

Well, went out to dinner for a friend's birthday tonight, and there was wine - but not too much as I'm at the gym tomorrow.

I'm loving all the dresses!

Temper - if you look at the tabs at the bottom you will see the veg/carb counter

catstails - glad it's working for you!

Viper - low carbing is brilliant for controlling the hot flushes - I always know when my carbs have been too high.

Thanks cathyandclaire mrs herculepoirot and diyapprentice for great tips re yoghurt and milk . Will give them a go . Thanks BIWI too . Can't face yomp to llidl so will just get full fat total

DIYapprentice · 14/10/2012 01:26

Well after being so good yesterday, today was absolutely shite. Feeling ill, the cold has moved into my chest now. Out with family and the lunch place only sold SANDWICHES (well apart from the pastries, scones, cake and crisps Hmm). No other lunch venues anywhere nearby so really had no other choice. I chose the one that looked lowest in carbs, and drank some still water with it.

Dinner was unhealthy, but at least it was low carb, probably practically zero because there was no veg!!!

So freakin depressed when I got home tonight that I went to the fridge to get the toblerone bar that DH had put in there (last of a bloody box full of them). I held it in my hand and I swear I come so close to ripping the wrapping off and hoovering it down, but somehow I managed to get my self control back and put it back into the fridge. Still feel like crap, but at least I don't feel like crap and feel guilty as well.

sybilfaulty · 14/10/2012 07:53

We had friends over yesterday so there was wine, a couple of squares of rye bread (for canapes) and a spoonful of pudding. Out to another party in the evening where I had one slice of pizza and more wine. Fortunately not out again til Thursday so plenty of time to stick on teh straight and narrow. #

I love eating like this and cannot believe the effect it has had on my body. I bought a new pair of size 12 trousers which are too big. Never! I haven't actually lost that much weight though since I started and am still at BMi 24.5 but look so much healthier.

Have a great day.

BigBroomstickBIWI · 14/10/2012 08:25

Admirable self-restraint, DIY!

But it illustrates a key point with this WOE - it is a way of eating rather than a diet. Yes, going off piste is not going to help the weight loss, but these things happen. And one meal/day, in the great scheme of things, doesn't matter. The important thing is that you didn't give in and dive face first into the Toblerone.

OK, am going to post all the lovely low carb food I ate yesterday and not mention the dark chocolate and gin to get me back on the wagon..
B: sausage and mushroom frittata
L: Blue cheese dip(blue cheese with a little cream) and celery
Snack: Kale Crisps by the lorry load
D: Spicy Boston butt pork slow cooked and then pulled apart with Kale crisps and celeriac.
The Boston Butt is a lump of spiced pork from Waitrose, it's on offer and is FAB! You just cook it really slow and try to avoid the bbq drizzle that has lots of sugar in it Blush

Doshusallie · 14/10/2012 09:06

Morning! No hangover for which I am extremely grateful. DH on the other hand......

MIL is making me bacon eggs and mushrooms for breakfast, then I am taking boys swimming and maybe cinema later. DH can fester in his pit all day.

Lavendersbluedillydilly1969 · 14/10/2012 09:14

Have still got a cold and finding it really hard to eat 2 meals a day never mind 3, I just have no appetite. Weird thing though is that the scales aren't really moving this week but I am still drinking loads of water and a few cups of tea with cream.

This week my period appeared a week early for no reason but amazingly no one else realised as no pmt and no bloating at all. Hoping this is because of lc as first month in years I haven't been a nightmare for the week before.

AuntieMaggie · 14/10/2012 10:03

You ladies make me feel really boring... I sat at home with sparkling water last night watching tv!

I bought Aldi Bratwurst sausages yesterday which were only 1g of carbs per 100g which I thought sounded good - had them for dinner with salad.

NewStartSameStory · 14/10/2012 10:33

Lavender I actually find when i struggle to eat 3 meals and/or drink enough water the weight doesn't seem to move as much.

Yesterday and friday didn't happen as far a bootcamp will be concerned. Blush Am going to do another week of bootcamp next week. I am expecting a gain of weight too. although i suspect that others also might not be surprised about this The aim of today is to make and finish eating in one sitting at least 2 meals. Low carb of course.

WineGless · 14/10/2012 11:18

Nsss - even if not boot camping are you managing to low carb?

My stomach hasn't been right since eating the bread yesterday which also triggered a craving for other shite which I am too ashamed to write down but I know it was wrong.

Today however is a new day. Auntie maggie - I was at home sewing name labels onto school uniforms as the iron on labels I did a month ago have all come off Dds uniform

PrincessSparkle86 · 14/10/2012 11:18

Morning all Smile

Looks like i have a lot to catch up on!! Ive been so busy lately i havent been on here that much!!
Ive noted my weight for tomorrow on spreadsheet... 85.8 Grin just in case i dont get te chance tomorrow!

Leftover shepherds pie for late breakfast!
Dinner tonight will be 2 chicken thighs with some savoy cabbage, bacon bits and 1 more veg.. Not sure what yet!

Enjoy the last bit of the weeken everyone Smile

captainmummy · 14/10/2012 11:34

NSSS - I think I'm going to have to do another week of bootcamp too; after yesterdays stuff-myself-with-coconut/thai spices, (and even after the beneficial effects re looShock) I'm up by about 1lb. Sad

No breakfast again today, really don't miss it if i get my coffee with cream; lunch i think will be Kale crisps (200g bag for almost no carbs! How brill) and dinner is roast chicken with roast veg.

Erm Wine - i think the least said about those two days the better Blush It was an emotional reaction to everything that has gone on (RL has been incredibly shit and stressful this week) and the extreme lack of sleep. It wasn't big, it wasn't clever. When proper food was eaten it was low carb. But it's the i'm not eating grab a quick snack kinda thing that is an issue. BUT today is a new day, I have strong painkillers, ds is in a rediculously chilled out and relaxed mood and we have calming activities planned for later. And whilst I haven't eaten yet I intend to bootcamp. Just need to work on my reaction to stress. Although it has been an extreme week by a lot of people's standards, and Rome wasn't built in a day or week

cathyandclaire · 14/10/2012 11:51

Good luck NSSS and well done for staying so positive...onwards and downwards Smile
We are off out for little dd's birthday meal out tonight, it's an Italian with delicious meat/fish options so no problem there although I may succumb to a small prosecco but I adore their deep fried Zuccini, I feel sure it's been coated in a little flour or something before frying, is it a hideous disaster from a carb point of view?? Please say not.....

WineGless · 14/10/2012 12:32

NSSS well done you for remaining positive. You know you have food issues but you have seen the benefits of low carbing and like you say Rome wasn't built in a day. You have had a horrendous week. Keep posting and hopefully we can help you through it

Doshusallie · 14/10/2012 13:00

Cathy I ate loads of that sort of thing on holiday in crete this year and it didn't seem to make any difference to me.....

Lunch is tuna salad.

Boobz · 14/10/2012 14:33

Hello all - trying to keep up with the thread but it moves so quickly! Was only away overnight on a camping trip, but so much to catch up on.

AuntieMaggie - I absolutely agree, the diet is nuts (excuse the pun!) but like you said, it's working and I'm not hungry, so that is the main thing. My body shape is completely changing 14 days in - I am so pleased. I realise that the way the bootcamp rules do it means you can have so much more food, but I don't think that would work for me - I need portion control otherwise my progress wouldn't be so good.

Having said all that, I did slip a bit (first time in 13 days) last night around the camp fire and had some white wine and a bit of jacket potato with my meats. DH said we were allowed a night off but firmly back on the Zone today and the scales say I haven't done any damage... looking forward to weigh in tomorrow!

My P90X (workout DVD) is lost in the post - grrr - so can't start until Thursday now. Annoying. More Bikram yoga and running instead for me...

NotAgainAndAgain · 14/10/2012 14:33

I was so about to report my fist loss during bootcamp, and I cheated! Now I am not looking forward to update the s/s. And I was so strong all this time. But bought my daughter a croissant, she did not want it - so the croissant looked so sad and lonely there - poor thing it ended up on my plate, what a delight, and what a shame and what a sad looser (not in pounds)Sad

NotAgainAndAgain · 14/10/2012 14:35

BIWI, I love the dress!

Doshusallie · 14/10/2012 17:01

Boobz, you are very brave camping, weren't you freezing?
