WineGless · 13/10/2012 20:10

Debs that's a lovely dress.
Tartiflette- may the force be with you Wink
Heartstart - am gutted I can't go but BIWI is, so no doubt she will be able to advise

catstail · 13/10/2012 20:58

Well I have to thank you all here, especially BIWI.

For the very first time in 20 years of adult life, I was late for 2 meals by around 2 hours because I was busy and didnt feel hungry!!! Woohoo!!!!!!

I'm not even really doing bootcamp properly [naughty], more like cutting back hard on carbs but still having some.

For a bit of background, until lo carbing, if I didnt eat every single 2-3 hours I would start to feel sick, my hands would shake, I wouldnt be able to think properly and I would get stomach pains.

What a big turnaround, and so quickly. So thank you all. Smile

Poppy1234 · 13/10/2012 21:05

Dresses are absolutely stunning. Dinner lived up to my expectations, I puréed the swede in the food processor with butter and cream and it was delicious. DH thought it was potato mash and who am I to correct him :).

I made nigella's spinach with ricotta and nutmeg from Nigellissima, I had hoped it would be similar to creamed spinach but was very omelette esque. Would be ok on it's own but didn't work as a side at all.

In other news, I've found the best roast cauliflower recipe (for anyone who is similarly obsessed by cauliflower). It's amazing www.notquitenigella.com/2012/05/29/slow-roasted-lamb-shoulder/ about 3/4 way down the page.

captainmummy · 13/10/2012 21:07

Oh who am i kidding - I ate the lot, all 18g carbs of thai-curry soupyness (wuth coconut milk/carrot etc) but it did have low-carb (zero carb) noodles in and broc and cauli and not much else. On the plus side, it did uncork the errr blockage, and hopefully it passed through me without beingwasn't absorbed?

tempertemper · 13/10/2012 21:14

Can I ask a question about vegetables? (yes, I am that interestinh!)
Made a Thai green curry type thing tonight, was yum, but had green beans and baby corn in it. Are they ok on bootcamp? Also talk to me about milk. Have switched to lactofree - can I have a few cups of tea and coffee a day now or (sob) do I still have to cut down?

B: scrambled egg and smoked salmon
L: smoked mackerel dip (made with total and a squeeze of lemon) with celery and mange tout. In hindsight, mange tout probably horrifically starchy.
D: Thai prawn curry with cauli rice.
Snack: small measuring cup of berries with blob of total.
About 4 cups tea and 2 cups coffee.

I have a feeling there are too many carbs here?

tempertemper · 13/10/2012 21:18

Top dress btw. Jealous.

LRDtheFeministDragon · 13/10/2012 21:21

Awww, I am getting LBD envy on this thread now! Grin

Biwi that dress is very glam, and doshu, I want those shoes.

My 'LBD' is not in fact a dress, but a jacket I got at the designer outlet. I can't find a picture but it is absolutely fucking gorgeous, and my lovely FIL insisted on giving us vouchers to buy posh stuff, so it's not my usual kinda purchase. It is just a tiny bit too tight, but it's definitely motivating me ... Grin

LRDtheFeministDragon · 13/10/2012 21:23

Oh ... it is Vivienne Westwood and makes my boobs look fucking amazing. Grin

(We shall ignore what happens lower down as I am getting to that! Sad)

WillieWaggledagger · 13/10/2012 22:14

Have been out all day at a show with my mum and Grannie - food n

WillieWaggledagger · 13/10/2012 22:18

FFS

Food ok, managed to get away with low carb things and also still a bit poorly so didn't fancy much anyway

Really enjoying seeing all the LBDs

This is mine - the purple one here. Bought a little while ago and it fits but is quite clingy around the bottom and thighs where I have the most wobbly bits!

WillieWaggledagger · 13/10/2012 22:19

will link work this time?

WillieWaggledagger · 13/10/2012 22:23

Oh fgs. It's a ruche-front jersey dress in aubergine with a deep v neck and back

WineGless · 13/10/2012 22:26

Willie that's gorgeous. Have you got killer heels to go with it?

Viperidae · 13/10/2012 22:58

Well I'm not telling you all what I've eaten because I've been very, very bad Blush and BIWI might blow a gasket but I'm not going to beat myself up for it then end up blowing out completely. I'm going to chill out tonight then get back to bootcamp tomorrow.

Had a very pleasant night out last night and a lovely day today though so I don't mind too much. Someone once told me you can liken everything in life to a journey - you can go on a motorway, it's the fastest way but not really enjoyable, or you can go the scenic route, takes longer but you can enjoy yourself on the way. I've just had a scenic moment, that's all!

cathyandclaire · 13/10/2012 23:01

I've been rather scenic today as well vip ...loving the euphemism...may just leave it til tues to weigh in!

Viperidae · 13/10/2012 23:03

BTW, can I just tell you though before I started this I was suffering quite badly with hot flushes and night sweats (I'm at that age) but in the last 2 weeks they had almost stopped.

Last night I was conscious of feeling hot in bed, and not in a good way Grin. I missed my lie-in today as I woke early drenched through in sweat and have had flushes all day. Clearly the naughty stuff is not good for me.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 13/10/2012 23:16

winegless 3 parties??!! Feck, I'd be mainlining gin, not just a sandwich.....

captainmummy admire the honesty!!

catstail it's great isn't it? I did about 6 hours of housework today with only stops for water and a few olives, and still felt fine. Normally I'd be ker-nackered.

viper tomorrow is another day pet. Get on it like a car bonnet!

WineGless · 13/10/2012 23:34

Hmmm, there may be wine tonight shhh

caramelwaffle · 13/10/2012 23:39

Good evening all.

Have just had a lovely large portion of kale 'crisps'.
Kale covered in walnut oil and sea salt then roasted in the oven.

Breakfast - Greek yoghurt
Lunch - rasher of bacon and scrambled eggs.
Supper - avocado with prawns and mayonnaise some sun dried olives and kale crisps.

Berocca and 1/2 litre of water.

1 gin and sparkling water

Lovely dresses that were linked.

caramelwaffle · 13/10/2012 23:40

Naughty, naughty winegless
