The Little Black Dress Low Carb Bootcamp - starting in 2 week's time!

BIWI · 16/09/2012 21:43

Following on from the success of Bootcamp v1, where we lost in the region of 70 stone between us, we will be running a 10 week v2 Bootcamp, starting on Monday 1 October.

This is designed to take us up to the end of the first week in December, by which time you should have lost at least half a stone - and that's being pessimistic. There's every chance you could lose more than a stone over that period of time! Plenty of time to make sure that you can get into that Little Black Dress without the lumps and bumps showing too much.

This is how it will work:

The first two weeks will be very strict. I will shout at you a lot and will wave my big stick around with gay abandon. After this period, you can then relax into Bootcamp Light or, if it suits you, stick with Bootcamp for the remaining 8 weeks.

We have a Spreadsheet of Marvellousness, which will be upated each week, so that you can plot your progress.

There are 10 simple rules here , and it's really easy to do. No weighing or counting (unless you really want to). And above all, lots of support from all those who are doing it alongside you.

Who is up for it?

Good morning good morning

I am here for bootcamp! I did do it before the summer but two tummy bugs did send me back to carbs.

Aiming to lose just under a stone, I'm 5'8 and currently 11.7, would like to be 10.10 by December . Haven't owned a party LBD for several years but may have to keep my eyes peeled in the shops.

I'm definitely not meant to be under 10stone, 10.4 makes me look ill and washed out. 10.7 would be my absolute lowest.

I will for the October meal plan today as I find that's the only way I can LC, usually eggs for breakfast and some sort of LC soup for lunch

I bought a little black dress in Primark and it is very little indeed - size 10, so I better be committed or that'll be be a waste of £12!

Thanks Ruby Smile

My ideal weight would be 8.5. I would be an 8 below and a 10 on top at this weight although am quite booby with no bum and slim legs. I would be very slim at this weight however, so I don't know if friends and family would agree that is a good weight for me.

I would be very happy to stay at 9 stone bang on, so that's a pound off what I am now, and the lowest I have been for years. Usually hover between 9 3 and 9 6. I am 5 foot 4 and 37.

Wow love it when people say how many stones they have lost, this woe is really changing people's lives isn't?

DameEnidsOrange · 22/09/2012 12:25

Thank you for this thread BIWI - I'm in.

I followed a couple early on this year, fell off the wagon several times, but caught myself in the mirror this morning unprepared, and got a shock as to how much I have enjoyed the summer

sybilfaulty · 22/09/2012 13:01

Eyes, I think I am very similar to you, in that I am also 5' 8 and weigh about 11st 11 ish now I think. I am amazed by how little some of you weigh. I am aiming for 10st 13 but I've never been that low for my adult life. I am currently wearing a 12 all over (similar to you Bloss with slim legs, no bum but big boobs) and would be amazed if I could wear a 10. Still all things are possible, eh? Bring it on.

HumphreyCobbler · 22/09/2012 14:37

I am five two and would like to weigh 8.5 too Thegoddessblossom. I stopped weighing myself as it never seems to change (I was about 9.3 last time I weighed) and I guess from my clothes I am about 9 now.

It is great that I seem to be maintaining, although it is all guesswork on my part! I simply don't dare weigh myself in case I am heavier than I think I am as I suspect I would then spiral down into self hatred Sad. At least by not weighing I am just sticking to the diet as best I can. Although I do get a little disheartened that I am not thinner as I really do stick to it most of the time. No nuts, no fruit, and about 20g of carbs a day. I am working up to cutting out cheese totally on bootcamp as I think this may make a difference. I will find it hard to live without the cheese.

LaVitaBellissima · 22/09/2012 15:14

ruby do you have twins?

pixiestix · 22/09/2012 15:30

I'm in. I'm slightly panicked as this woe goes against everything I have ever told myself Blush but I know it makes sense and I need to do this. I lost three stone with SW two years ago and slowly but surely its all creeping back on. Sad

wordfactory · 22/09/2012 15:47

Can I join.

I'm not hugely more than I'd ike to be, but have a lifestyle that means I'm often putting on a few pounds (several holidays a year, lots of meals out, parties etc) and have made no effort to lose my recent gains.

I need to get ahead for xmas season which is bound to involve weight gain.

My troubke is I love food. I love cooking. We all do in casa wordfactory.

I'm goinbg to need inspiration for meals!!! If everyone could post ideas that would be fabulous.

BIWI · 22/09/2012 16:19

Wordfactory - there is a Bootcamp recipe thread with some great ideas on it - I'm on my phone so can't link but if someone else could, that would be very helpful!

I am with my family this weekend and my food has not been great Hmm. We went for a curry last and I did avoid the rice, but that's all Blush

Today involved sandwiches and chips ...

Ilovemyteddy · 22/09/2012 18:43

Yes! Recipe thread ^^ Wordfactory

Sorry to hear about the food, BIWI mmm crisps

I was on a training course yesterday where we traditionally get sandwiches and crisps and I usually end up eating the insides of a couple of sandwiches. I asked if there was any way they could get me something low-carb and a lovely person came back with a GORGEOUS plateful of salad and cold cuts. My colleagues were Envy

Liveinthepresent · 22/09/2012 19:31

Can I join too please - I have lurked a lot, read Briffa and had a couple of attempts that have just petered out despite seeing early results have caved in when tired or when scales not moved for a week or more....
Nothing in my wardrobe makes me feel good. - need to lose 10lbs by Christmas - half a stone by my birthday mid November would be wonderful.
Can't wait - I definitely need to be shouted at!

EyesDoMoreThanSee · 22/09/2012 20:01

Liveinthepresent · 22/09/2012 20:54

Eyes I know - and I already know exactly what she will be getting the stick out for with me - wine and nuts - but if it gets rid of some lbs I can handle it!

Shagmundfreud · 22/09/2012 20:57

Hi all
I'm joining. I've been low carving for a fortnight already and have lost........ Half a stone Smile.

This week I aim to cut down on caffeine, which I understand is linked to higher levels of insulin release.

I'm now 11st 5 and intend to get down to 10 stone. I'm 5.6 tall. Need to start exercising this week.

Shagmundfreud · 22/09/2012 20:57

Low carbing that is.....

BIWI · 23/09/2012 10:26
