The Little Black Dress Low Carb Bootcamp - starting in 2 week's time!

BIWI · 16/09/2012 21:43

Following on from the success of Bootcamp v1, where we lost in the region of 70 stone between us, we will be running a 10 week v2 Bootcamp, starting on Monday 1 October.

This is designed to take us up to the end of the first week in December, by which time you should have lost at least half a stone - and that's being pessimistic. There's every chance you could lose more than a stone over that period of time! Plenty of time to make sure that you can get into that Little Black Dress without the lumps and bumps showing too much.

This is how it will work:

The first two weeks will be very strict. I will shout at you a lot and will wave my big stick around with gay abandon. After this period, you can then relax into Bootcamp Light or, if it suits you, stick with Bootcamp for the remaining 8 weeks.

We have a Spreadsheet of Marvellousness, which will be upated each week, so that you can plot your progress.

There are 10 simple rules here , and it's really easy to do. No weighing or counting (unless you really want to). And above all, lots of support from all those who are doing it alongside you.

Who is up for it?

I'm gathering various bits and pieces of info to post at the start of the LBC Bootcamp, for anyone who might be a newbie to low carbing. If anyone has any interesting stuff - links especially - can you post them here for me, please?

Oh, and if anyone sees FiddleDeFat on your way round the boards, could you point her in this direction? We need our Spreadsheet Meister to help with the SOM!

dear lord, my eating is just awful at the moment. I need to get a serious grip otherwise instead of tubby I am going to be lardy ass, better call greenpeace when I am away with the slinky girls. Doesnt help that my back is awful at the moment and I want 'comfort' food. Sad

BIWI give me a gentle kick up the 'arris.

tartiflette · 20/09/2012 12:26

jax I am the same Sad

tartiflette · 20/09/2012 12:28

TooImmature, like the month of Oct exercise blast idea, think I will do same (but with my nice tame Callanetics vid- too chicken for Shred). 9st here we come!

TellMeLater · 20/09/2012 14:24

I will join you ladies, I did the original bootcamp too, but I am a serial name changer. Blush
I'll be fasting twice a week and skipping breakfast some days. But will try to stick to the other rules. I only have 2-3kg to lose but they are very resistant. Will be exercising frequently too...I feel fitter at 40 than I ever have, wish I'd had time for doing this before now, eating well and exercising feels great.

We should have a pre-Christmas meet-up all wearing our amazing LBDs!! Grin

topsi · 20/09/2012 17:59

OMG did not realise how carby salted roasted cashews were! Roasted peanuts were half the value. Plain almonds were much less also. I thought peanuts were to be avoided. Any one got advice as to which nuts are the lowest in carbs please? (I hate macadmia by the way)
Obviously will be avoiding all nuts during boot camp! (stands to attention and salutes emoticon)

needs more willpower

halfthesize · 20/09/2012 21:16

Fantastic idea Nigella

NotMostPeople · 20/09/2012 21:27

Hi, a Bootcamp original here. I've been floating around 10 and a half stone ever since the children broke up for the summer. Whilst I still see myself as a low carber I regularly eat things that I shouldn't. I'd like to loose a bit more so a fresh start and a bit of BIWI will do me the world of good.

Thegoddessblossom · 20/09/2012 22:03

Waves at nmp!!

BIWI · 21/09/2012 08:53

Which bit of me would you like? Grin

ruby I am 8st 11lb today but when I started this woe back in April, with the help of BIWI I was 10st 1lb and I am only 5ft 3inch. (I'm 38)

My goal weight is 8st 5lbsSmile My goal has changed as I've lost weight. I think its very dependant on your height, build and what you want to be. Its more about how you lookGrin

LaVitaBellissima · 21/09/2012 09:22

I would ideally like to be 9stone, I am 10st 4 at the moment, I am really flat chested though so no boob weight.
At 9st I'd be an 8 on top and a 10 on the bottom. It's my bottom, thighs that bother me to be honest and I need to be slim to look in proportion I think.

LaVitaBellissima · 21/09/2012 09:22

I'm 5ft 6 and 32 Smile

newplan · 21/09/2012 09:34

I haven't lost any weight this week but according to my scales my body fat composition has gone down.

So I'm taking that as a good thing Smile.

At the moment, my breakfast is yoghurt and berries and I do eat nuts as a snack.

May change these on boot camp. I definitely find breakfast the hardest and eggs for breakfast makes me miserable Sad.

newplan · 21/09/2012 09:34

Just realised I've name changed. Will change back Blush

BIWI · 21/09/2012 10:48

May change?! Will HAVE TO change on Bootcamp! Grin

Ruby - I'm 5ft 2in. I was 8 stone 11lbs when I got married and that was half a stone heavier than I wanted to be. However, I am a different shape since having children and seem to be able to carry a bit more weight. So 9 stones is probably as low as I need to go. Assuming I can ever wrestle my inner fatty into sufficient submission!!

WillieWaggledagger · 21/09/2012 12:08

i'm 5'7" and my fighting weight is 9st - 9st 7lb, but i'm trying to build up muscle at the moment, so weight will likely increase a bit but in a positive way

i also tend to carry weight on hips and thighs, which i hate, so i'm happy to look a little scrawnier on top if it means my thighs are in better proportion (this may change as i get older...!)

PrincessSparkle86 · 21/09/2012 13:38

You know i'm up for it! Bring on the big stick BIWI lols (well hopefully u wont need to!) Grin

My weight today is 86.7 kilos i've still only lost a stone since i started, which i know is still got but i've still got another 2 stone to lose to be at my ideal :)

i've been doing alot more walking and im going to have to start getting very strict now to prepare for this bootcamp!!

tartiflette · 22/09/2012 07:21

Ruby, I would be an 8-10 at 9st. Am smaller on top so there is a risk of scrawniness if I were to go lower, although frankly it's a price I'm willing to pay in order to slim my legs into submission... Am 5ft 5 and 35.

Ilovemyteddy · 22/09/2012 07:47

Woohoo! Just got on the scales and I'm 167.6lb. So that's 56.8lb lost now. 4 stones! Woohoo! Only 20.6lb to go. I can do this!
