New thread for those of us who need a little kick every now and again. Remind me of your reasons for doing this again? I need to be a healthy weight for possibly the first time in my adult life.
We all have blips. Days, sometimes even weeks off. And the scales stay the same or even go up. But long term, you should be losing weight and learning new habits to maintain. Think of it like house prices - they fluctuate and go down as well as up (apparently they do go up!). But over a long period of time you're unlikely to regret buying a house.
welcome yoghurt :) you'll find all the support and virtual kicks up the bum you need here.

Thanks Bonkey. I'll have a look over the weekend when I'm not on my phone. :)

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/10/2012 22:04

I have just completed my MFP entry, and was 7 calories under my daily limit. Yet I still got the "you are eating too few calories, inadequate nutrition blah blah". Now I realise it's automated but you'd think they'd build in some leeway. What do they expect, me to use Fry light, as a breath freshner, exactly seven squirts (though that might take me over my fat limit :o)

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/10/2012 22:05

Interestingly I've just looked at my breakdown and I'm pretty much there on protein and fat (2 under for each) but have eaten under half of my recommended carbs. So without meaning to, I am following some sort of low carb thing. I sppose that all comes back to finding protein filling. And I had pasta tonight :o

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/10/2012 22:06

ahh hang on, just noticed the past apparently has zero carbs. Possibly didn't pick the best option there from the list!

KatoPotato · 05/10/2012 22:10

Fry light breath spray... Words fail me!

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 05/10/2012 22:15

Fry light breath freshener? Shock

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/10/2012 22:15

Yeah, I'd wander round smelling like a healthy chip butty :o

Right, it's my last day of strictness. Tomorrow is my day off. If I stay up till midnight can I have a huge slice of cake? :o Blush

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/10/2012 22:16

I don't really!! I just can't think of an easier way to get exactly 7 calories inside me!
(half a malteaser??)

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/10/2012 22:17

one skittle? A lick of a percy pig?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 05/10/2012 22:20

14 cans of diet coke?

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 05/10/2012 22:21

I am wrong!

7 cans of standard diet coke!

It would be 14 of those iddy biddy cans!

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/10/2012 22:28

well the normal cans say

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 05/10/2012 22:29
SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 05/10/2012 22:34

ah that must be it!
That's what I log. Days like today I probably have more (some caffeine free). Sometmes when I'm at work I only have 3 or 4.

Glad to hear it, and your day sounds very healthy, even with the cake.

InMySpareTime · 06/10/2012 06:51

Morning all,
How's it going today?
I had such a busy day yesterday that even after DH plied me with fizzy wine and brioche I barely cracked 1000 cals for the day.
I now ignore the MFP warning, and try to eat between 1000 and 1200 a day, not eating exercise calories back (usually 400-600 a day). I have not even felt over hungry on that, perhaps because I cut out snacks, and gradually reduced portion sizes over a couple of months to retrain my appetite.
I have a MN meet up tonight, and a student society social during the day, might well end up over todayBlush.

LollipopViolet · 06/10/2012 13:19

I'm back - took a break from the thread and weight loss in general - just felt I was running my life based on what was good for me, not necessarily what I wanted. But I'm back now, probably going to gain this week but really, it's not the end of the world.

Got an interview to volunteer with my local CAB on Tuesday, so need to find a nice top to go with my smart trousers that doesn't make me look huge.

InMySpareTime · 07/10/2012 07:35

Good morning everyoneSmile,
I managed to just squeak under Cals yesterday despite 2.5 pints of beer (but only by counting exercise calories, my base calories were over 1300Blush).
Today will be good, church then home, no ferrying DCs to this, that and the other.
That said, DS is back from Scout swamp camp today so the washing machine will be working hardGrin.

reastie · 07/10/2012 18:46

Hello all,

stealth good to see you

I've never had a MFP warning to say I've eaten too less wonder what that says about me Grin

Weighed in this morning and lost 2 lbs Shock - feel a bit like it must have been a miss measure and I'll have put them on tomorrow, but living in positivity that I have managed to lose that, despite not going to the gym all week or being overly restrained with eating Shock . Takes me to 43lbs lost in the past year [proud] . Now got about 9lbs to go for hitting my Christmas target. I'll be very happy once I'm back in my pre preg clothes too (probably a stone and a half to go for that) - I have a whole wardrobe I love but I still can't wear [frustrated].

MummifiedBonkeyMollocks · 07/10/2012 22:24

Evening.
Quick.one from.me.

Just had a sneaky weigh in finally I am 12.2!!!!

I normally weigh in in the morning so will do the 'official' one tomorrow but even if i stay there its bloody marvelous!

Last time i weighed in (on my time off) i was back at 12.9 Blush Shock

That's about 7lbs off in two weeks!

I fully recommend getting a hobby! Grin

SHRIIIEEEKPoolingBearBlood · 07/10/2012 22:28

Hi welcome ba k lv and well done reastie and bonkey :)

Weekend off. Eaten far too much, but its motivational Monday tomorrow and I am motivated . For tomorrow - I can decide to get back to the diet, or I can carry on eating and feeling ill and bloated. I can use the willpower I know I have, or I can feel like a failure. Dh's cousins husband told me I looked "amazing" this weekend - lot of politeness involved but it gave mea boost (as I stuffed my face with ice cream :o)

InMySpareTime · 08/10/2012 07:41

Happy Monday Grin
I weighed this morning, 12 1 Smile, I'm in shouting distance of the 11 club.
Today I'm handing in an official form to work, with a complaint about standards and working practices. It won't be pleasant, but I hope it will improve things for my colleagues once I've left (next TuesdayGrin).
Hope everyone's Motivational Monday is good.

TheOneWithTheHair · 08/10/2012 08:03

That's great IMST and good luck with your form.

LollipopViolet · 08/10/2012 09:02

Hello all.

Well, I'm 12 12 again, but am about to eat breakfast and then hit the gym. I've got a busy old week this week.

Today: Gym
Tomorrow: Interview to volunteer at my local CAB
Wednesday: Gym and possibly doing two photo shoots at said gym
Thursday: Start of AAT Level 2 at college (get to see one of the girls who did Level 1 with me, hope some more of the group are there)
Friday: Alton Towers with a very good friend who I've not seen in ages.

Right, must eat breakfast.
