I knew I had put on wieght. But bloody hell I have reached 15 stone and now really need to loose it asap. I have signed up to mfp and intend to stick to that and exercise at least three times a week. Anyone want to join me in a monday wiegh in and motivation thread.
I find I am a picker and wil binge on crap. I need to get serious and healthy before I get any older and become nable to join in stuff with my kids.

What about a scrambled egg on a slice of toast, or a poached egg. I love eggs from breakfast.
Or a small portion of beans on toast that has a scraping of marmite on. That is also yum.

Low fat yoghurt and banana or other fruit?

Goldensunnydays81 · 12/09/2012 07:08

How about porridge for breakfast I just put that in Mfp and it comes up as 320cals thats made with 50g oats, 100ml skimmed milk and water, topped with 1/2 cup of strawberries and 2tsp agave syrup!! I
Am loving porridge at the moment and it feels me up!!

Well I have decides to treat myself to stuff when I pass each 1/2 stone so although I lost 5lb this week I went under 18 stone so I treated myself to 2 bags from seasalt which I have wanted for ages!!
Hope everyone is getting on ok

Goldensunnydays81 · 12/09/2012 07:08

Oh and well done convert Smile

Typinginsecret · 12/09/2012 10:52

I have just had two boiled eggs for breakfast - I find they are really filling.

Golden that's a great idea for treating yourself every half stone - I think mine might be a facial or manicure - a non food treat !!

Weighed in this morning - list 2.2 pounds - that's with drinking enough vodka on sat night that it was coming out of my ears!! Oh and a sneaky portion of chips on Friday!!! So Iam delighted with that!

Just back from my wAlk - off out for lunch - yum!!

Have a good day all of you

whyme2 · 13/09/2012 07:05

So how are we all doing today?

I found yesterday a very hard day to get through and I nearly gave in and ate crap. But I did manage to get to the end of the day. My jeans were very lose yesterday and kept falling down when I was in town. It was very irritating as I was trying to hold DS's hand and an umbrella and keep my trousers up! So the diet is working and soon I will be able to fit into my too small jeans after I've washed the dust off

I've lost 3lbs this week according to my mid week weigh in Grin

Goldensunnydays81 · 13/09/2012 07:58

Typing well done!! How was your lunch out?
Whyme that is great that your jeans are falling down Grin even if it was annoying at the time!!!
Well I had a rubbish evening last night, went out for dinner with my mum and ended up having chicken breast, salad and chipsBlush oh well will get back on it today, I had a cheeky weigh in this morning, just to see and have lost 2lb but I need to keep going!!
Have also got my sister coming for the week but she is also trying to be healthy so at least that won't throw me off track!
Hope everyone has a good day

Convert · 13/09/2012 08:38

Well done everyone.

Was ds2 birthday yesterday so I gave myself a day off from the low carbing, we took him to the cinema and I knew I couldn't resist popcorn so thought it was better to have a guilt free day and continue today! Need to try and cut down on the wine this week I think and book my gym induction. Bloody DH has gone to a meeting today in the car so will have a two mile walk to get ds1 from school so will try to see that as a positive Grin
The tour of Britain race is going past our house this morning so will be going to wave to Bradley wiggins!

lavenderbongo · 13/09/2012 20:22

Thanks for all the tips for breakfast. Might try a boiled egg but I like my breakfast to take less than 3 minutes to make, kind of the time it takes to boil a kettle so may stick to boring old toast for now :)
Golden, I alo ended up havng chips ths week as it was dds birhday and we ha friends round after school so wanted a quick dinner. I think its ok as smehow still managed to keep within my limit.
I decided to measure my hips, waist and thighs. On mfp you can keep a record of your measurements over me s I thought it would be interesting to see how it changes. Every little bt of motivation helps :) I carry a lot of my weight on my thighs so I would like to see if I can make a difference to them.

Good idea with the measurements lavender, I carry all my weight on my tummy and I think it's gone down a bit but will measure today!

On the breakfast note scrambled eggs are dead quick in the microwave.

Typinginsecret · 14/09/2012 08:48

Well I have not measured at all - but I have gone down a dress size in some of my clothes.

We have a full length mirror in the bathroom and I can see some changes in my shape. My bum has got smaller - but still doesn't have much shape to it yet. Have lost weight on my tummy - but am still very wide.
I have toned up both my legs and arms - I think the swimming has helped with this.
Still a long way to go but it's lovely to start seeing changes.

How about the bellavita biscuits for breakfast?

Goldensunnydays81 · 14/09/2012 08:53

I have measured just to see!! Lost 8cm in total this week from all over!! I really need to start my exercise again think I will start at zumba next week again, haven't been able to go for the last 8 weeks as me and dh have been working thurs evenings but that has changed now!
What is everyone else doing for exercise?

Typinginsecret · 14/09/2012 09:13

Wow - that's brilliant golden!!!

On the exercise front - Iam going for my 4 mile walk this AM - have my nephew this afternoon so will be kept busy !!!

Goldensunnydays81 · 14/09/2012 09:35

Oops I meant in total all over Blush

whyme2 · 14/09/2012 15:25

Hi everyone,

Diet is going well so far, nearly competed two weeks now so that is quite an achievement for me. Just have to get through the rest of this day.

Dd wants to bake me a cake tomorrow to celebrate my new job. I have specified carrot cake and bought the ingredients. Just need to hold off until tomorrow.

OnlyGirlinmyHouse · 14/09/2012 16:38

Hi everyone,

I'm coming a bit late to this but can i join in too please?! I have been feeling lately that all my clothes are getting a bit tight, and i can't afford to buy a whole new wardrobe a size bigger so i need to lose weight! My husband and i snack and eat rubbish, so we have decided to have our own little weigh in on Monday nights. I haven't weighed myself in years and was a little shocked to see i was 13 stone. According a website my ideal weight is 10st 10lb! I will be happy with somewhere around the 11 & a half stone mark.

This week i have just tried to eat less, and when i want a snack i've had fruit. I am terrible for nicking the childrens biscuits and left overs so i've been really good this week and not done that at all. I have needed a little chocolate fix every now & then though, so got some of those snack a jack things in chocolate chip flavour. They resemble polystyrene so not really that nice, but stops me craving sweet stuff!

Now just got to survive eating crap over the weekend! I'm quite looking forward to weighing myself on monday evening but i will be so disappointed if i haven't lost any weight!

Good luck everyone!

Convert · 14/09/2012 17:53

Hi Onlygirl, sounds like you are doing well so far! I have the same problem that DH and I kind of encourage each other to eat junk and takeaways. You are lucky he is doing it with you.
Have you tried my fitness pal? It good for seeing how many calories you are eating, I found some of them quite shocking, who knew there was 77 cals in a fucking apple?! Grin Welcome!

whyme2 · 14/09/2012 18:13

Welcome Onlygirl Smile

I quite like the choc chip snack a jacks - they kind of meet the need at the time.

Good luck for the weekend. They are definitely the hardest to get through from my point of view.

myfitnesspal - bit of an eye opener at times.

whyme2 · 16/09/2012 10:54

I see my post about weekends being the hardest was absolutely true as there has been no other posts all weekend on this thread!

Hello! I have been really a bit crap this week and just weighed myself and I've still lost a pound. So have added determination to be really good for the next two days, then will have another weigh in and see if I can make three for the week.

How have you been doing?

whyme2 · 16/09/2012 15:23

Hi Convert Smile

Well I have eaten lots and had a drink or two but I did stick to my three fast days during the week so all should be ok < crosses fingers >

I have had a busy weekend though, 7 mile walk yesterday and last night and today spent clearing up after a burst pipe in the bathroom last night Sad Oh what a mess. Anyway we have done the bulk of it and DH has fixed the pipe. Just need to clean the floors properly tomorrow and one cupboard which is still drying. Oh and wash and dry umpteen towels too.

My weigh in is Tuesday after Monday's fast day.

whyme2 · 16/09/2012 15:27

Well done on the pound lost though.

wornoutbutstillwonderful · 16/09/2012 16:12

So many tips on here its great, well I know it is my weigh in day tomorrow but I was worried that I had actually put weight on as I was on a night out with friends on friday which included an italian meal and copious amounts of cocktails. But how pleased was I this morning I have lost two pounds which I would like to have been more but considering the night out and the bacon butty the next morning(hangover cure Blush) I'm pleased back to being good today plum tomatoes on toast fro breakfast with slimmers granary bread and no butter.

Convert · 16/09/2012 18:16

Oh poor you, what a nightmare!

I still can't believe you manage on 500 cals on your fast days. I would want to stab someone after that Grin I'm glad it's working well for you though.

I'm impressed that we've managed two weeks! My DH says he can tell that I've lost weight, bless him! I actually think my muffin top is going down a little. Must try to lay off the wine a little this week.

Convert · 16/09/2012 18:17

Well done wornout! I think it better to do it steadily and not let slip ups bother you.
