My class was cancelled this week due to school meeting (yay!). A week's reprieve to get my head around doing this properly again and to stop eating silly things!

I know, you're all on holiday and don't care...

I lost 2.5 lb this week.

I thank you.

lilibet · 01/08/2006 17:39

Where are you?

lilibet · 02/08/2006 10:11

I am busy on Thursday night and so I nipped along to another class so that I wouldn't loose all my momentum

I Lost a pound!!!!!

lilibet · 04/08/2006 09:08

So, I've been thinking

I lost 16.5 lb in 15 weeks before my hols which is pretty good going for me. So between now and Mid December which is 19 weeks I should be able to loose 21lb. What do you think?

It's my dd's 18th on the 14th of Decenber so I would like to look good on the family meal.

lilibet · 04/08/2006 09:19

Yes, I think with a bit of application you could do that.

lilibet · 05/08/2006 11:12

So how's it going? Managing any exercise?

lilibet · 06/08/2006 12:56

A bit, walked it to and from church this morning and can I please refer you to my post of 2nd April at 20.50 and point out that toady I am wearing the hsirt and it gfits beautifully

lilibet · 11/08/2006 08:19

I lost another pound last night

which makes 18 1/2 in total

woo hoo

KBear · 11/08/2006 15:55

lilibet - you didn't leave me! I've been camping this week - god help my waistline! Dare not weigh myself and have got four days now to sort myself out before my class!

So next target for me is another 7lbs. I've been up and downing the past few weeks but I'm serious again now!

Talk soon!

Kbesr - good luck for tonight

I actaully manged to do some step this morning and I am determined to keep it up. I would love to be at a good weight at Christmas.

I need to try for at least a pound a week.

Let me know how you get on?

KBear · 15/08/2006 19:57

Put another two pounds. Bugger.

Right, time to get serious about this again.

Instructor at class tonight started with " right girls, now this is a weight loss programme we're following here, weight L O S S". Everyone laughed but not much loss happening over the summer.

Been doing salsa at the classes though which is great.

OP posts:
lilibet · 18/08/2006 11:38

I liked the salsa but the aerobics was at a time better suited to me.

I put 1/2 on - but it gets worse as I was wearing my 'light' shoes, so it's really a pound and half

I think we really do need a bit of renewed dedication to St Rosie.

I have stepped for 15 minutes this morning and am thinking of going swimming later but as I said before I can only do crawl so one length totally knackers me.

And yesterday I ate 2 apples and a banana for breakfast, 2 slices of bread with (SSHH) weight watchers salmon and mayo and cucumber and a slice of melon for lunch. For tea I had lentils cooked with onions, leeks, carrots and celery, topped with a piece of cod loin which had been in a nice spicy marinade - yum.

Oh and two pieces of fudge

KBear · 18/08/2006 13:18

I am full on determined again. No wine this week and been very sensible (yawn) about my food. I have had a headache all week and I am convinced it is chocolate/sugar withdrawal!

Still, lilibet, it's just me and you now by the looks of it so onwards and downwards!

OP posts:
lilibet · 19/08/2006 13:12

I am sticking with the 15 mins step in the morning so far. Yesterday I ate, apples nd banans for breakfast, a wholemeal roll with low fat cream cheese, roasted peppers and lettuce, and at night I got a sainsbury's low fat veggie curry and rice which had the grand total of 0.3%fat per 100 g, so i had an onion bhaji and a samosa with it, reckoning that I was still well below 5% fat for the meal!!

Oh and a very big gin and tonic and 3/4 bottle of wine

Where has everyone else gone?

FN · 21/08/2006 14:52

Hello there I am new to Rosemary Conley, May I join you ?

I lost 4lb the first wk on kickstart and then got complacent and lost 1/2lb the 2nd then totally went off rails this week with birthdays and sheer can't be bothered attitude, so wk 3 weigh put on 2lb! So trying to be focused. I have got one of the old magazines with lose a stone in 4 weeks plan so I am sticking with this for the next 4 weeks then I will be back to the normal plan.

Have tried other diets but they just don't seem to suit me....I felt so energised after the first week of this is was fab just don't know what is wrong with me.

Have a holiday in mid Sept so need that stone to be off by then so have 5 wks..

Have been doing the salsacise each morning before work and have noticed a huge difference in my shape and toning already doing trousers up that I couldn't before. Feeling really stodgy after pig out so trying to re-focus now for this week and beyond.

How are you getting on? how are you finding the diet? how much have you lost so far?

KBear · 22/08/2006 09:12

Hi FN and welcome! I have been doing this since March - lost some, put on some on holiday, lost it again. Lost a stone so far and would like to lose another stone so it's slow progress but I'm told that is the best way.

Now back on track and I think I've done well this week - eating loads but healthy stuff. DH doing it too so is easier. Nothing like a holiday photo to knock you into shape about getting fitter!! ha ha

Exercise is the answer I think - I usually swim twice a week as well as the RC class. All ground to halt with the kids being off school but back to it in Sept. Also joining a salsa class with my mates should should be fun as well as exercise.

Just got back.... drum roll please..... lost 3.5lb. Ta daaaa.

I've been researching new recipes this week, to make dinnertime more interesting and healthy. Got a one-pot GH cookbook from the library and it has lots of great ideas. Seems it is paying off. Made turkey meatballs with a tomato, lentil and blackeye bean sauce - delish. Kids loved it too. DH lost 8.5lb in a week! He is also off the beer but that won't last ha ha.

jasper · 22/08/2006 23:05

kbear what is your total loss so far?

KBear · 23/08/2006 08:22

Lost a stone, put on 5lb (gradually over about a month - holiday and all that!). Now almost back to the stone mark. Was 11.9. now 10.11. Still would like get down to 10. Takes a long time when you don't have much to lose - I am told.

OP posts:
FN · 23/08/2006 09:21

thanks for the welcome and great weight loss kbear and at your dh loss. I did a cooking session last night from one of the magazines, a cider and leek macaroni cheese and a beef and potato goulash...a a little of both to taste and delicious! and they are so easy.

Well yesterday wasn't too bad a day and today I am focused

Going to join a local class in the next few weeks so that should help me along too.

Here's to a good week

lilibet · 23/08/2006 10:25

Kbear!!! Wow

(Lilibet lies prostate at kbears's feet in wonder at such a magnificent loss)

Hello fn and welcome I will need company once kbear reaches 10 stones and slinks off slimmly into the sunset. So far I have lost 18lb and would like to loose another 2 stone

I think St Rosies cook books are wonderful, we have had some very nice recipies from them.

And guess what? I have actually managed to keep up the 15 minutes of step each morning [proud emoticon]

not done that well on the food front tho'[ashamed emoticon]

We will see tomorrow night!

What night is your weigh in Fn?

FN · 23/08/2006 10:28

I currently weigh myself at home on a Monday morning but when I go to class it will be a Tuesday.

Well done your weight loss too. I would like to lose about 2 stone and so have a way to go yet. Welldone on the step each morning too, it does make you feel energise dont you think?

Good luck with the weigh in.
