Furcough, I forgot to say earlier I am half way through Escaoe the Diet Trap and I reckon it's definitely worth reading, makes a lot of sense and dispels a lot of dieting myths.

TheOneWithTheHair · 17/07/2012 19:32

Well according to MFP I still have 767 calories today. If I use those for wine and don't eat tomorrow I should be ok. Grin

InMySpareTime you are forgetting your occasional frequent cake habit! Grin

InMySpareTime · 17/07/2012 19:47

Ah yes, the cake habitBlush. What can I have instead of cake?

LollipopViolet · 17/07/2012 19:49

Ooooh even after falling off the wagon, I've maintained :)

Right, gym tomorrow, and back on the healthy foods.

StealthPolarBear · 17/07/2012 20:02

Mmm walkers baked crisps are lovely. Am having half a bag now and half a bag with lunch tomorrow

TheOneWithTheHair · 17/07/2012 20:39

By the way. Welcome back Stealth. Glad you're still with us.

InMySpareTime you can still have cake. Weight watchers and stuff have pretty passable ones.

TheOneWithTheHair · 17/07/2012 20:57

I just added the wine into MFP and I need to save 117 calories tomorrow to make up for it. That should be ok because the wine will be finished. Grin

StealthPolarBear · 17/07/2012 21:05

Thanks, so am I :)
Any chance you can work off the cals with exercise before wine?

KatoPotato · 17/07/2012 21:08

We had celeriac 'chips' tonight... Another official Kato approved 'fake food' served with grilled pork and beetroot salad.

Now, what should I treat myself to tonight?? Mfp and fitbit say I've 545 calories left...

KatoPotato · 17/07/2012 21:20

I had a mini chocolate chip tracker... Mmmmm

InMySpareTime · 17/07/2012 21:24

Why does MFP have a tracker for neck size?

KatoPotato · 17/07/2012 21:28

Haha! Lord knows! I'm not counting on Gillian 'shredding' my neck!

chipsandmayonnaise · 17/07/2012 21:34

So glad to have you back with us Stealth.

I need to look at mfp too or something like that. i have had only soup and ryvitas all day- .... and three glasses fo wine. I really do self sabotage.

Oh well.

Like the idea of cauli rice. :)

KatoPotato · 17/07/2012 21:39

I'm going to become the spokeswoman for caulie rice and potato!! Will start sketching out my brand values later

wherearemysocks · 18/07/2012 07:43

Well it's not an official weigh in day today but I had to do it as I was so close yesterday and I am now officially in the 11st club!!

11st 13.5lbs

TheOneWithTheHair · 18/07/2012 07:59

Yay. That's fab socks. Well done. :)

FurCough · 18/07/2012 08:29

Cauli rice is brilliant. Aside from the fact that it makes me fart like a dray horse.

DH gets the look of fear every time I make it and mutters about putting breeze blocks on the duvet. It's all glamour and romance chez Cough.

I've slacked on MFP a bit now I know more about what foods fall into the good and bad camps. It does mean that eating half the butter icing off the remains of my son's birthday cake go unrecorded Blush

Butbutbutbut... I'm packing to move house this week and I reckon I'm doing the equivalent of about three shreds a day by packing, clearing and looking after two small children at the same time. Right? right?

Well done on getting into the 11st club socks :) I hope I can join you this week!

On the subject of weight / size discrepancy Milkshake it's deffo a weird one. I can be 12 stone and a size 14, whereas my 11st friend is a big 16. I'm actually heavier than DH Shock but you wouldn't know it by looking at us.

Congratulations socks!!

The size-weight thing is really wierd. I am currently a tight 14 - and 16 in some clothes. i am not that tall though, but I have a lovely slim friend who is only 2 inches taller than me and she is also a 14-16, yet she appears to be very lean. I think also it is how your body fat is distributed. I am a definite apple, so 14 tops are way too tight.

Today i am determined to not have any wine, as it just throws me off track. I am on soup and ryvitas all day.... I find it oddly filling, especially as i load my ryvitas with sliced salad veg. Dinner will be Vietnamese beef soup from the latest WW magazine. With rice noodles. Mmmmm. Have a spinning class too... I am a bit nervous- i took all of last week off as we had guests, and I am worried i am going to faint!

Eggrules · 18/07/2012 10:18

I have done Day 2 of the Shred Egg Level - working up to level 1, which isn't even on the horizon. Worst pain is in my thighs and underarms and I actually feel a fraction better for exercising.

Food focuc in annoying me so I'm off to look at My Fitness Pal.

Eggrules · 18/07/2012 10:37

Would a MFP user help me please? I am trying to enter my weight in stones and llbs and it looks like I am adding x stone and 1 pound instead of 10. Do I need to convert it to pounds?

KatoPotato · 18/07/2012 10:41

MFP works in pounds egg

Anyone help me? I was weighing myself as 12 4 last week but the gym had me at 12 2... This morning I'm 12 2 on my scales... Can I make that 12 square or stick with 12 2? I only get weighed every 4 weeks at the gym?

TheOneWithTheHair · 18/07/2012 12:25

I would stick to your home scales and forget the gym ones (sorry). That way you can have weekly consistency.

I finished the wine Blush so I have to be extra good today.

KatoPotato · 18/07/2012 12:35

Fair enough twoth makes sense... But on gym weigh ins am I still allowed to be well chuffed at extra 2lbs?

I did try on some stashed jeans this morning and they fasten flatter and made me happy... But too glitzy for day wear!!

TheOneWithTheHair · 18/07/2012 12:41

Ooh you need to arrange a night out then Kato. Go dancing and drink vodka and cranberry all night. And wear skyscraper heels.

Yes you can be chuffed at the extra 2lbs in the gym. Grin
