You all put me to shame with all the exercise you're doing. I want to do it, its just the LO is only 3 weeks old and is constantly on the boob at the moment so no time to fit in the exercise. Can't wait til a routine is established but hey ho. I have been good with my food though as I can't afford to go over my calorie limit. I need to shift the extra 2.5 stone I put on during pregnancy.
Good luck to everyone weighing later today. Does everyone weigh in on a monday on this thread?

OddBoots · 02/07/2012 07:28

I'd argue that nursing is a pretty good form of exercise, your body has to work hard to make that milk so you're doing great, MammaTo2boys :)

Wishing well to all those weighing today, whatever the number you're still getting into the grove of it all, you can get there!

It's my weigh in tomorrow - dh works from home Mondays so he is still in bed when I get up and the scales are in our bedroom.

travellingwilbury · 02/07/2012 07:28

Good morning

I have lost 5 pounds Grin

I am really pleased , I have a long way to go but this is when I need to keep it going , my usual pattern is to lose well in the first week and then get bored and give up .

Good luck to everyone weighing in this morning .

OddBoots · 02/07/2012 07:33

Well done, travellingwilbury, that's brilliant. Now stick to it and imagine where you will be by Christmas, all slim and healthy.

StealthPolarBear · 02/07/2012 07:39

:o traveling

LollipopViolet · 02/07/2012 07:44

Grin at Kato I remember reading the bulletin about that malfunction!

Grin well done Travelling

I've stayed the same since Friday, and that's fine - my next official weigh in on MFP is Friday so plenty of days for the pounds to come off. Does the steam room make you lose weight, does anyone know?

wherearemysocks · 02/07/2012 07:48

Morning all, I'll get the ball rolling this morning.

I have lost 2lbs.

So feeling positive for the week ahead. Shredding today hopefully, but I have a sniffly toddler clinging to me at the moment.

wherearemysocks · 02/07/2012 07:56

Oops I failed to go to the next page and thought you were all having a lie in Grin

Well done travelling thats brilliant. We'll keep you going. Are you doing any particular 'diet' or just MFP and exercise?

TheOneWithTheHair · 02/07/2012 08:14

Travelling and socks that's great. Well done. I'm going to weigh after the school run so I'll check back later.

MammaTo2boys · 02/07/2012 08:20

Morning all
Travelling that is brilliant, well done on losing 5lbs.
Mysocks well done on your 2 lbs.
Lollipop I prefer to weigh in on a friday too, gives time to rectify any weekend transgressions Wink
Oddboots Mfp gives me an extra 500 calories for bf, thank goodness as I need them.
Good luck to those who still have to weigh in. Is there anyone at goal who is with us to keep our butts kicked? Sorry but with 2 LOs hard to find time to read whole thread and only joined last Thursday.

travellingwilbury · 02/07/2012 08:24

Well done socks Grin

I am just trying to eat like a normal human and cut out all the crisps and crap , also I am trying not to have carbs after 4 , I can't cut them out completely , it makes me grumpy and really crave for them . And I am trying to do excercise every day , lots of trying in there Blush

StealthPolarBear · 02/07/2012 08:28

Well done socks :o
Thursday is weigh in day for me, the way I feel at the moment I will probably have put on a stone :(

FurCough · 02/07/2012 08:28

well done losers Grin

I am a gainer rather than a loser this morning. I know I should not weigh so often but I've put my two pounds back on again. And I've been good!

Does not help that the blooming 3yo woke me up on purpose every half an hour between 12-4am last night. Am off to start a whiny thread in 'Sleep' to see if someone has the magic answer.

It is taking every fibre of my being not to have custard creams for breakfast.

StealthPolarBear · 02/07/2012 08:51

:( That is hard
Don't lose motivation (tho tbh i think you deserve one custard cream - or a nicer biscuit :o) it can work, it will work, be kind to yuorself today and straight back to it tomorrow for you!

chipsandmayonnaise · 02/07/2012 09:07

A 1 pound gain for me this morning. Sad. Oh well. Probabyl deserved.

well done to all the losers! Grin

I have decided to really commit myself now. I commit to so many things- being a good daughter, wife, mother, friend, employee, that surely it is only fair to commit myself to being healthy and slim. Sigh.

I am taking things one day at a time. I am going to concentrate on each day as a separate day, as I find the thought of losing a stone is overwhelming.

So today;

Bk- toast and a boiled egg
Lunch- home made tomato soup. two ryvitas with grainy mustard and ham
Dinner - prawn cocktail in lettuce cups- made with mayo for the DH and DCs, and just spritzed with lemon for me, followed by steak, salad and cheesy pots for the DH and DCs and a tiny amount of steak and huge amount of salad for me. Usually we have a big roast on Sundays, and the family complained yesterday as we had baked fish, so i am assuaging them with a starter and steak tonight!

best of luck to everyone today. :)

chipsandmayonnaise · 02/07/2012 09:10

Oh- can people post their yummy low-fat recipes? I'd love to try some different things.
Last night I put cod in foil, covered it in lemon juice, chopped fresh tomatos, black olives, capers and a little bit of chilli and baked for 14 minutes on 200. It was delish! And only 4 points if you are doing WW.

MammaTo2boys · 02/07/2012 09:50

Fur don't eat the custard creams, they won't solve your lack of sleep problem and you will only feel like pants after eating them. STAY away from those biscuits, eat some fruit instead

Yummymummyyobe1 · 02/07/2012 09:54

Can I join please? Currently 9st 10 and want to get back to 9st and from a size ten back to a size 6/8.

Yummymummyyobe1 · 02/07/2012 09:56

MammaTo2boys you are so right although good stong coffee is the answer to everything.

Eaten to date: nothing
Lunch cup a soup with rice crackers
evening meal: Gammon, with new potatoes and veg. Perhaps a mini magnum.

TheOneWithTheHair · 02/07/2012 09:58

Hi yummymummy.

Well I've lost 4lbs in total this week, all before the weekend but at least I didn't put any back on with take away pizza. I also had a whole bottle of wine over three nights this weekend and I was worried about that. Not to bad over all and well done this weeks losers. :)

TheOneWithTheHair · 02/07/2012 09:58

*too bad

Yummymummyyobe1 · 02/07/2012 10:00

Well done TheOneWithTheHair That's some going. I've benn trying to loose weight since DS1 was born 2 month ago. :)

Eggrules · 02/07/2012 11:13

1 1/2 gain. My problem is that once I slip a bit I think that I can start again tomorrow. Back on it today all meals planned and looking forward to Thursday's weigh in.

whyme2 · 02/07/2012 11:46

Good morning all,

I have nipped over here on the kind suggestion of SPB

I decided to take myself in hand and evict myself from my size 20 Shock trousers. Since Jan I have lost 1 stone and now I need to tackle the next stone and get myself into a size 18.

Today's menu is, boiled egg and bread for breakfast, ham salad roll for lunch and I'm not sure about tea yet.
I am also going to do a 30 min fast walk each day, cut out alcohol and scoffing all evening supper.

StealthPolarBear · 02/07/2012 11:52

Welcome whyme :o
Keep up the good work and you too could soon have abs like mine
