I'm just about to go and do it, not looking forward to it much but if I don't do it now I can't have wine tonight.

Back is sore again, not sure about the plank moves in L2, think I might give L3 a try to see if it suits better.

I bet red wine doesn't appear on her diet plan either!

Dolallytats · 14/07/2012 11:06

Well, I just managed to do day 2 on level one 30DS. The arms are shaking again, but not as much!! Not sure I should have done it with the headache I woke up with this morning because my head is now screaming (and I can't work my legs or arms properly yet so can't get to the paracetamol!!), but it is done!!

Just a question, does anyone else keep forgetting to pull their stomach muscles in during an exercise? I have to keep reminding myself because I keep letting them go!! (and there is a lot to let go!!)

Not sure if I'll be able to get out of bed tomorrowHmm

febes · 14/07/2012 11:16

I went for a 25min run this morning and my body feels good. Thanks notyummy for the confidence to do that. I love running- and it really is the best way to slim down my arse!

SchrodingersMew · 14/07/2012 11:32

Hey, can I join?

Have been living with a disability that was made worse with a pregnancy but starting to feel a lot better at the moment and desperate to get into shape.

I have ordered T30DS and am waiting for it to arrive. :)

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 14/07/2012 11:56

Oooh, No More Trouble Zones just arrived! Think I'll give that a go today rather than Shred. About to have lunch so will do it later this afternoon. Quite looking forward to doing something different.

Overreactionoftheweek · 14/07/2012 12:05

I'm new to 30DS and this thread but I bloody love it already!

Am on day 4 of level 1 and I've already lost inches...probably mostly down to bloating but I'm still seriously impressed. My baby is 8 months old now so I've decided it's finally time to stop looking pregnant Grin

I've got the 4 DVD box set...which order have people done them in? I'm tempted to move onto 6pi6w after my 30 days just because my stomach muscles are rubbish

Nolda · 14/07/2012 12:45

Hello and welcome, new folks. Happy shredding etc.

SoftKitty - hope you enjoy NMTZ. It's my favourite longer JM workout.

Had a day off yesterday having done day 1 of Level 4 Ripped the day before. Ow, ow my shoulders are still hurting and all of it was not pretty. Will try to do it again tonight.

Happypiglet · 14/07/2012 12:47

Hello schrodinger and Overreaction and welcome to the mad house!!!
Well I did Killer L3 for the first time today oh.... My.....god....
It's tough especially the first circuit where I struggled to even understand the first move and did beginner for frog jumps and crab kicks (got a bit excited when I thought she said crab cakes Smile. The other circuits were OK though and I think I did well...
I will definitely tomorrow I think....thighs I already stiffening up! Keep up the good work everyone...

Happypiglet · 14/07/2012 12:50

Feel it tomorrow doh...

SchrodingersMew · 14/07/2012 13:00

Thanks very excited for my copy to come now!

I have been looking at the before and after photos on Google and I must say they seem far too unrealistic in terms of I didn't think it possible to lose so much and tone so much in 30-60 days.

Can anyone tell me what the results are if you do this properly? And is Google lying to me I hope not!?

Greedygirl · 14/07/2012 14:21

Hi everyone and welcome to the new shredders. This thread is great for keeping you on track and a nice place to come and boast and/or ask for support! ShrodingersMew I wish I had taken some pics before starting shred! The general advice on here seems to be take measurements, ignore the scales (or at least don't be too worried about them) and take some pics if you can. I haven't seen dramatic changes but I have lost an inch or so off waist and hips, around 5 llbs, and I feel tons better. I haven't been on a diet so I guess you can expect more dramatic results if you combine it with a healthy eating plan. Overreaction I did shred and have just started 6w6p with the occasional bfbm. BFBM and NMTZ are both longer so I can't really fit them in regularly.

Well done on L3 Killer Happy! Crab cakes! Now that would be civilised. febes I went for a run too today and it was nice being out in the fresh air. Did a minute sprint at the end and thought I was going to pass out! I feel really ravenous after running though so may have undone some of my good work!

Off to a kids party now, then the outlaws are down. Wine is required!

gypsyfloss · 14/07/2012 15:05

Hello to all the new Jillian fans. I'm having a lazy day today; just started some antibiotics and am feeling a bit meh.But I'm now thinking perhaps I'll just do her yoga for a little gentle stretch/ to make my thighs wobble uncontrollably :)

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 14/07/2012 17:19

I didn't have time to fit in NMTZ so instead I just completed Level 2 of 30DS and have to say I found it much harder than L1. You need good coordination for L2 and I struggled with that, but hopefully I'll improve with a bit of practice.

jellibelli · 15/07/2012 13:16

I've not been on the thread for a few pages as I haven't felt entitled to post as I have been slacking with my exercise busy with other aspects of life over the last month. But this week I have managed to run a bit and today I did NMTZ, so here I am! It was quite hard today but as the house has been tidied in preparation for selling, my weights have been 'put away somewhere' and I have only found my 3kg pair and sadly my triceps aren't ready for both circuits of 3kg, so a bit of phoning it in here! They will come back I am sure. The press ups were easier though so it's not all bad.

Overreaction I did 30DS then did 6W6P as I wanted to tone up my abs too. It was another success.

SchrodingersMews I so wish I'd taken before and along the way photos. I started 30DS last January 2011 and it has been body if not life changing for me. I am now 45 and in the best shape of my life. DD (16) says I have better legs than everyone in her year and having had a sneaky peak at some of them she might be right!Blush

Last January i weighed in at a minimum of 10st 3lb (something like bust 40, waist 33 and hips 41, i have them on a spreadsheet on the other computer) BMI approx 28. I found MN and Jillian so I started with 30DS, then 6W6P, then I had the confidence to try C25k, then extended to 10k, with just a slight faffy-dont-know-what-to-do-next gap between 30DS and 6W6P. I have continued to exercise (I now own many jillian dvds and running) since usually 5-6 times per week, usually 20-30 mins with a long run with DH on Sunday morning. During this time I have gradually cleaned up my diet, dropping processed foods and reducing carbs in general. It hasn't been a chore.

Now I weigh just under 8st, BMI 21 (bust 34, waist 27 hips 34) and look good naked Wink. I also have a job and can feel I am more confident and definitely feel more attractive. Discovering fashion is a little intimidating and very exciting as now I can wear many things and not just boob reducing optical illusions Wink.

Stick with Jillian and this thread, you'll be so pleased you did.

Dolallytats · 15/07/2012 14:18

WooHoo, day 3 of 30DS done and dusted....and I could move this morning too (although that does make me wonder if I'm doing it right, I thought no pain, no gainHmm)

blueemerald · 15/07/2012 16:15

Hey everyone, just finished 30DS Level 2 and it was hard but not too terrifying (I think only because I was so scared given the reviews on here!) I'm really enjoying it and it's just part of my routine now!

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 15/07/2012 18:54

jelli those stats are amazing, you must be so so proud of yourself! :)

As I thought exercise at MILs proved impossible apart from a few press ups and sit ups and I've eaten too much although not massively too much.
I sort of want to Shred this evening, but I'm really really tired and I think an early night will have to happen otherwise the week will get off to a bad start.

notyummy · 15/07/2012 19:21

Hi all - so busy on here! It is great. Jelli - really, really inspiring results. Keep it up all - and welcome to the newbies!

5 mile run today, and just some pilates yesterday. Been looking after my slightly dodgy back. My friends has just given me Insanity so I intend to have a look tonight to see what it will entail. I am a bit scared!!

Greedygirl · 15/07/2012 20:16

Keep hearing about Insantity Notyummy on this thread, let us know how you find it!

Jellibelli really great to hear from someone who has stuck at it, I am currently at your starting weight (after a month of 30DS Blush!) and i find it really interesting what you say about gradually cleaning up your diet - I am very anti "diet" but I am more and more reluctant to eat crap as it just seems such a waste of exercise! I would be really happy to get under 10 stone and get more toned, thanks for telling us your story.

Well done everyone on continuing shred and if you are finding Level 2 easy then that is brilliant and crack on with Level 3! I think the main thing I found hard about Level 2 was the amount of plank work - I had no real functioning biceps to speak of!

Had a rest day today, looking forward to a full week of running and 6W6P L2 next week.

SchrodingersMew · 15/07/2012 21:40

Jelli Wow, those are amazing results!

I kept seeing the ad for insanity on a short trip to the states, thought that also looked too good to be true!

gypsyfloss · 15/07/2012 22:08

Fantastic results Jellibelli :)

febes · 16/07/2012 09:57

Amazing Jellibelli!!
Doc said running is ok as long as I get good shoes properly fitted and combine with core strengthening (ala Jillian) so I think I'll aim to run 5k 3x per week and 3 times 6w6p or NMTZs. Really, really pleased. He also said I can start to wean off the anti flams with the aim to be off them in a year.

Overreactionoftheweek · 16/07/2012 10:23

jelli wow, well done and thanks for providing some inspiration!

I missed yesterday but was up at 0630 to do 30ds...this was the first time I had weights - 2kg - and oh dear, I definitely phoned it in! Haha, but my arms are a real trouble spot for me so will keep trying and may eventually manage to do it all. I'm thinking of still moving up to level 2 after 10 days as I'll get bored otherwise...may kill me but never mind!

Confession time - despite getting up early to work out, I then decided finishing off some sticky toffee pudding would be a good idea for breakfast Blush

Nolda · 16/07/2012 10:45

Jelli - that's amazing. Well done. Are you going to change your name to NoJelli?

Febes - Good news about the running. I got new shoes from Sweatshop and was very impressed with fitting/gait analysis they did.

Did day 2 Level 4 Ripped yesterday. I have to say that it is definitely the hardest workout I've ever done.

Good luck with Insanity, Notyummy!

CHST · 16/07/2012 11:48

Happy monday everyone! I did level 1 6w6p and then level 1 extreme shed and shred. I think Extreme shed and shred is probably my favourite workout dvd. It is tough doing two back to back but I am on holiday in three weeks and I want to rock those skimpy clothes as best as I can so I'm taking it up a notch for a while.

Jelli those are awesome results!!!! wow! You have every reason to feel super proud!

Notyummy Insanity is really something I want to do at some point. It is my ultimate goal I think but I know I need to really set aside a period of 60 days where there will be no interuptions. Let me know how you get on with it, I am really curious!

Overreaction I have those days too where I work out and then splurge on something!! Don't feel too guilty. We are all allowed treats now and again!
