I would love for some support and I would love to support someone else to help me stay motivated.

I have a lot of weight to loose.

I am going to start tomorrow, gulp.

I eat so much, it is going to be a big change to reduce the food I eat, the next few days are going to be tough.

Hello,

I am doing okay still surprisingly! Had a couple of ice creams this week but doing lots of walking and I have gone down another pound so I am really pleased.
Also managing to keep portions more normal sized and little or no snacking during the day. Hoping I get into these habits and don't slip back. I know it take some time and I am frightened of going back to my old eat everything and lots self.

omydarlin · 06/06/2012 19:33

Hi everyone how's it going ? Don't forget we need to make good habits and just keep plodding on and being mindful about what we are doing. I have set myself a couple of targets 30 mins med intensity (at least ) activity for 5 days (at least) per week. I already do 45 mins walking on my office days so I am hoping this will keep my metabolism ticking over.

festival to go to in the summer (Aug bank hols) I want to have lost 20lbs by then - there is no way I am spending time at another festival miserable because I am not the size I want to be!

BTW Love this website have a peep please it is very thought provoking

Hi omydarlin

thank you for posting. I have had the most awful day and have just continually eaten shedloads of crap.
I was doing really well up to the weekend and then I don't know what happened.

Also this week the kids are off school which doesn't help me at all. It is very hard to find the time to walk without dragging whinging children behind me

And the dcs seem to want to eat all day when they are off too. I know these are all excuses and I just need to get my sensible head back on.

Just needed to know that I am not on my own in this.

omydarlin · 06/06/2012 22:12

whyme2 the worse thing we can do is beat ourselves up about a bad day and then let it turn into a bad week then a bad month then a bad year.....

I guess we just have to make mistakes along the way and try to learn from them. Now dust yourself off and get back on the weight loss wagon Brew

Am beginning to sound like that one off "Little Britain"

whyme2 · 06/06/2012 22:23

Thank you for your kind words.

I feel ready for tomorrow and I will not let it turn into anything more than a day off course.

cheapskatemum · 06/06/2012 22:29

OMD, hope you enjoyed your evening meal of ... dust! WeightWatchers used to rent our church hall for their meetings & I was reminded of Marjorie Dawes every time I had to go through (not that I made a habit of interrupting their meetings). Whyme2 is there a nice park or something near you, where you & kids can do something active that you all find enjoyable? Mine are older, so they're taking off on or in their bike/moped/car. The weather's so unpredictable though!

I got back from father-in-law's funeral on Saturday. It was in Glasgow & the whole 3 days we were there I looked in vain for salad on a menu! Weighed myself yesterday & am still same weight, which was a relief as I thought I'd have gained. Still haven't actually lost any weight though! Watched 2 episodes of Gillian McKeith last night, which inspired me to eat lots of fresh veg today; banana & 2 poached eggs on wholemeal toast for breakfast, salad, new potatoes & smoked mackerel for lunch, prune yoghurt & 2 ginger oatcakes for snack & beanburger with salad, stir fried peppers & onions for dinner. No Zumba classes this week, must get out with the dogs tomorrow.

omydarlin · 08/06/2012 09:12

Lol I swear Matt Lucas must have sat few a some WW meetings it is exactly like that!!

Well done cheapskatemum given the circumtsnaces you did very well x

I had a look on mfp on the progress chart I weighed in at 201.5 lb at the start of this Sad and now I am 193.5lb - thank you all Thanks i can see a future and its size 14 by the summer and size 12 for winter [hopeful emoticon]

bibbetybobbityboo · 08/06/2012 10:23

Can i join in please? I have joined the c25k thread and am waiting for my running shoes to arrive to start. I am 80kg and 5ft8ish and a size 14. I have lost about 7kg in the last few months. Would like to get to increase rate of weight loss and get to about about 68kg ish and be a size 12 at the most. I have considered lots of diet options but at the end of the day i just need to eat less and move more. So that is what i am trying to do. I use my fitness pal when i remember but mostly just eating smaller portions than i useed to and trying not to snack. Really need to drink more water too.

bibbetybobbityboo · 08/06/2012 10:31

Infact i might be better posting what i eat here to keep a record and perhaps some kind people would make suggestions about how to improve then?... Starting the day (very late after a very rough night with dd) with 2 small handfuls of muesli and half a full fat yoghurt. About 200 cals i reckon. Plus a cup of coffee, 1 sugar, semi skimmed milk. No idea whats for lunch but planning chilli with rice for dinner.

whyme2 · 08/06/2012 10:40

We have had a couple of walks into town (in the rain), once for haircuts and another because DS twisted his glasses so needed them straightening again but not really had chance to exercise so I automatically feel fatter. My weight has stayed put this week but I am still struggling to control my eating. not mentioning the half tube of pringles yesterday
Just wish the weather would give me a break so I can take the dcs out.

whyme2 · 08/06/2012 10:44

Welcome bibbity. I think your breakfast sounds about right and another 50 calories for your coffee.

I had one slice of wholemeal bread toasted with peanut butter. Lunch will be a ham salad sandwich and tea is shepherd's pie but I will have mine with lots of veg to fill the plate.
Chilli n rice is good dinner and pretty good calorie wise I think.

bibbetybobbityboo · 08/06/2012 13:17

Thanks whyme2 :) Lunch was a slice of 50/50 bread and 2 poached eggs which according to packets is 267 cals so about 517 cals so far today plus about a pint of water so far. If i dont eat anything else til dinner i'll allow myself a spoon of sour cream and a tiny bit of cheese i think but will go easy on the rice as i'm trying not to have too many carbs in an evening, it will be brown rice though. Not sure if that is any better?! Plus a good walk with the dogs. A good day so far...

bibbetybobbityboo · 09/06/2012 08:43

So yesterday i had as above plus i allowed myself a handful of tortilla chips with my chilli. A tiny bit of chocolate that was left from my birthday so thats all gone now, no more temptation! And i had a second bowl of muesli and yoghurt cos i was hungry in the evening. I drank 3 pints of water in total. I also did my first c25k run.

So far today i've had 2 cups of coffee and a slice of toast and marmalade. No idea what i'll have for the rest of the day. Exercise will probably be taking the dogs for a long walk.

I weigh myself every morning, know i shouldn't but i can't help it. I don't beat myself up about little fluctuations though. I'm still 80kg today.

omydarlin · 12/06/2012 19:22

Hey all hows it going - been a bit picky - does anyone else find that in the middle of your month Grin. We just have to keep plodding onwards otherwise we'll just end up going backwards in terms of what we want to achieve !

cheapskatemum · 15/06/2012 21:40

Hello again everyone, I'm watching lots of football these days, so not much time to type my food intake. I'm multi tasking atm as couldn't bear it if England lost another goal, so only half watching. It makes sense to me, a bit like I used to watch Dr Who from behind the sofa & with hands over my eyes, but gaps between my fingers!
I was tempted by ice cream in the hot weather & put on a pound. Am hoping it will have gone again by Tuesday when I weigh myself again. I'm back exercising again after a 2 week break dealing with funeral etc & am stiff as a board today. Yesterday's Zumba class has made me ache in places I didn't know I had muscles! Cereal with banana for breakfast, apple & yoghurt for snack, pot roast with broccoli & new potatoes for lunch (I defrosted some left over from a Sunday roast dinner), oatcakes & peanut butter for pm snack & tapas/mezze for dinner: avocado, mozzarella balls, olives, dried tomatoes, felafel & serrano ham. Feeling full but happy, especially as England have just scored & are in the lead again.

smellylittleorange · 15/06/2012 21:50

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 16/06/2012 09:10

Hi all. I went off the rails diet wise. Just over two weeks to surgery, so this is it now diet wise. I am going to struggle for two months as the band doesn't get filled unfilled six weeks post surgery, and still then it may need a few adjustments.

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 22/06/2012 22:14

I am glad I am doing this diet, to reeducate myself about how little you can survive on, foodwise, again. I am appreciating basic flavours again.

I am feeling hungry, and can't eat till breakfast, and then all I can have is six spoons of cornflakes.

I hope you are all doing well with your eating choices.

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 23/06/2012 10:53

I had poridge with some strawberries from the daily fruit allocation, it was more filling.

I am chatting to myself on this thread now, Blush

OP posts:
ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 23/06/2012 15:58

I had two ryvita, a half portion of blue cheese and half of ham, luttice and tomatoes for lunch.

I just has some more from fruit and yoghurt, half an onion and four mushrooms fried in frylight as a snack.

OP posts:
ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 26/06/2012 14:01

Still on the pre op diet, not broken it.

I am loving poridge with half a banana for breakfast, no other sweetness.

I had two ryvita with half blue cheese, half chicken portion, salad as well for lunch.

I did too much rice again, so cold rice, salad, half a chicken, half ham portion for dinner with a fruit and Greek yogurt.
