I would love for some support and I would love to support someone else to help me stay motivated.

I have a lot of weight to loose.

I am going to start tomorrow, gulp.

I eat so much, it is going to be a big change to reduce the food I eat, the next few days are going to be tough.

OMD, more good than bad.

So yesterday I ate:

Peanut butter on toast for breakfast,
Salad and ham sandwich for lunch
Chips, fishfingers and beans for tea.

In the evening I managed to avoid to the chocolate cake by going for a high speed walk. It seemed to cure my cravings a lot.

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 17/05/2012 08:50

Morning all!

I had some cold pre cooked chicken for breakfast, I am going to have some fruit in a little while.

WM2, Sounds good.

perhaps we should do something like walk up and down the stairs 5 times whenever we get a craving ? I get bored and go and raid the cupboards. Maybe I should do housework instead of thinking of food. How is everyone so far today - have had 3 chocolate eclairs ( the toffee sweet things not the french pastry things) so not tooo bad so far. Am planning a blitz of the house after work and we will all sit down at the table for tea for once - no wine for me!

Seona1973 · 17/05/2012 12:51

I had a small (weighed out) portion of cereal with semi-skimmed milk and then went to a zumba class followed by a circuits class (was supposed to be LBT but she has changed it to circuits in the run up to the summer holidays!). Have been to Asda and just back home now for my delicious(!) meal replacement shake. Will have to go in the shower soon as I am probably quite fragrant by now. Having pie, potato wedges and sweetcorn for dinner later. Must try not to snack on crap while making the kids dinner (I eat later with dh)

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 17/05/2012 13:19

I had the chicken for breakfast.

For lunch I had two toasted cinnamon bagels and butter.

S1973, what is in your pie later?

OP posts:
Seona1973 · 17/05/2012 13:21

chicken and mushroom (its a Pukka Pie) - delicious
What are you having for dinner?

trikken · 17/05/2012 16:23

been quite good as have had a busy day to keep me occupied. tummy is very rumbly now though and its still a while til tea.

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 17/05/2012 16:29

Glad you had a good day Trikken.

S1973, I have just finished a moment ago my dinner. We had some baked fish and some roasted veg, sweet pot, butternut squash, parsnip, carrott, onion, garlic (very organge). I know they are carby veg, I had just one of each chopped up bit, the kids were very hungry so they were not fully cooked. I am going to have some more later. They didn't want balsamic vinegar, which is a shame.

Everyone seems to be doing well:) I have found myself grazing today but I did go to the gym this morning. I mean to start doing sit ups today but ran out of time. Very impressed with cream tea, I look 4 months gone:) must drink more water. It's so hard to remember to do it.

bucketbetty · 17/05/2012 21:56

Hi all, I've been doing mfp 1200 calories religiously for 2 weeks now and I have lost nearly half a stone. I've not managed to cycle this week because I've been poorly but so so pleased that I've managed to lose some weight. I'm hypothyroid and not been able to lose weight for such a long time. I'm very happy Smile. I suspect it's been easier this week because I'm not well and slightly lost my appetite. Fingers crossed for continued success.

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 18/05/2012 08:59

BB, glad you feel so happy.

I had a hickup last night.

I have had chicken again this morning for breakfast, I found it lasted me the best.

Hope things going well for everyone.

I had my cereal again today, went to Body Attack and have just got home. Shake for lunch, maybe a couple of oatcakes later and then me and dh are having chilli with rice for dinner. Havent decided what to feed the kids yet as they wont eat chilli.

omydarlin · 18/05/2012 20:50

I have had fish and chips - but according to mfp still within my calorie goal - must be down to my super healthy lunch which turned out to be waaay less cals than I though - only had half the chips too. Not snacked yet - certainly not stuffed my face endlessly with bread and butter or roamed the kitchen for things to eat or visited the shop to stock up so that's good then!

Seona1973 · 18/05/2012 21:12

Am having my Friday treat of a couple of glasses of wine. Will be good again tomorrow!

hmc · 18/05/2012 21:18

Think I might like to join you. Lost 4 and a half stone reaching goal weight last July, but since then have regained 10 lbs and feel that I am spiralling a bit out of control and need to reign it in before it (literally) all goes pear shaped

cheapskatemum · 19/05/2012 07:28

hmc - similar to me. I'd be so happy to equal Bucketbetty's half a stone in 2 weeks, cos then I'd be nearly done! Haven't posted for last 2 days as just haven't had time. It's meant no time for snacks either, but think my meals have been on the large size as a result.

ASillyP - I just can't imagine eating chicken for breakfast. It's so silly what conditioning does to you, isn't it? I'm sure I could eat ham & probably have whilst on holiday in Europe, but chicken just seems wrong to me (plus, DSs would moan if I ate all the chicken 1st thing, cos they like it in their sanis) . So glad it works for you. I usually have cereal & banana for brekkie, have had omelette/tortilla (as in Spanish omelette, rather than flat round bread) for lunch. Thursday eve I had sardine salad, as by the time I got back from Zumba, all the spare ribs had been eaten. Last night we had a get together of all the people who volunteer for our little project locally, we run a lunch club for isolated elderly people. I made the dessert, chocolate mousse & the Pastor had made a salmon bake for mains. He served me a really massive portion, which of course I ate.

Sorry for long post will do little & more often in future! Good luck over the weekend everyone.

omydarlin · 19/05/2012 08:56

Salmon bake is probably not tooo ad chepskatemum - I find my love of creamy potatoes with salmon is my downfall.

I am happy as i have drunk loads of water this week which means since we started have lost 2lbs ! Am a bit worried as weekend food is not yet planned out but I have some roasted veggies and salad around for lunch/dinner. am planning on visiting a Vintage fair this morning and then a lovely girl from work is getting married so I want to see her come out of the venue at least. Chelsea are on telly tonight which i hope doesn't mean that DH will surround himself with crisps, snacks and beer!

omydarlin · 19/05/2012 08:56

tooo bad I meant doh!

omydarlin · 19/05/2012 08:57

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough keep meaning to ask we both seem to be eating bagels a lot - did you get them from Tescos on offer too ?

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 19/05/2012 11:39

OMD, yes the bagels are finished, two packs were bought on special offer Grin.

I went a bit off the rails yesterday.

I got the proper diet that I should be doing through the post. I am going to have what I like in one meal today and use up the two cans of ready mixed pimms in the fridge. This is it, for me no more eating lots for the rest of my life, and they said you should avoid alcohol which is not really a problem for me, I don't like waste so I want to drink up the pimms, the wine hanging around can be used in cooking, I will burn off the alcohol and it should be fine.

The proper diet will be started tomorrow.

Here is the diet:

Breakfast
3 tbs of cereal
11/2 weetabix
25g rolled oats
1 slice of toast with scraping of margarine

Lunch
1 slice of bread
2 crisp breads
1/2 bagel
1/2 pitta bread
and
2 eggs
60g cheese
100g chicken/meat
150g seafood/fish
100g tinned tuna
and
salad or veg from list
and
1 tsp margarine or olive oil

Supper
is same portions to lunch

extra's
2 portions of fruit a day, 1/2 banana, 1medium pear...
1 small pot 125g low fat, low sugar yoghurt
200ml semi skimmed milk

I do that diet up to surgery.

Ive gone off the rails today. had some bad news about our house and gone back to my old habit of comfort eating. trying to not do it again though.

ASillyPhaseIAmGoingThrough · 19/05/2012 14:18

Trikken, do what you need to do today to get through, and get back on track tomorrow.

OP posts:
cheapskatemum · 19/05/2012 19:23

Asillyp - I don't envy you that diet, can we all think of ways we can jazz it up for you? DSs love the plain New York Bagels & usually have one for breakfast. Aw thanks, OMD, the salmon bake did have loads of healthy veg in it & no cream (that was on top of the choc mousse). Still felt so full this morning that I only ate a small bowl of cereal with semi skimmed milk. Lunch was cheese on 2 slices wholemeal toast, with roast tomatoes (& balsamic - they were left over from last night) & asparagus. Long dog walk, a bit of ironing. Snack - reduced fat hummus with crudities & 2 oatcakes. Now thinking about what for dinner...

whyme2 · 19/05/2012 22:23

Hi everyone, just checking in.

Sounds like people are keen to stay commited despite some set backs which is really good.

I had a bit of a day yesterday, cooked breakfast mid morning and then we had a chinese in the evening and I ate loads.
Today much better and I have also done lots of walking too. I am feeling peckish now but I am going to take off to bed instead of toasting a crumpet.

Got to keep on keeping on. Smile
