How does one stay motivated when at least 3 stone to lose?

I find the first 3 weeks easy, then I just want to pack it all in. I think its because it's more than just a few pounds I need to lose. I need to lose AT LEAST 3 stone, just to be in the healthy weight range.

I know it's going to take quite some time. I know there's no hurrying it, but I'm just so overwhelmed by it all.

:(

Hi
I'd like to join you all too please :)
I have lost 3 stone in the last year, but still have about 3-4 stone left to shift. Look forward to sharing tips and motivation with you all!

My weekend was a bit of a write off on the healthy eating, but i was socialising all weekend and had a blast, just back from 2 hours at the gym tonight to try and minimise the damage....but hey, it didnt go on in a month or two so it will take a while to get there, we still have to enjoy life....onwards and downwards...and a pound off is the right direction, the slower it comes off and its less likely to go back on.

Hi there eighty, i've not done too badly, staying within my calories, went to calanetics tonight and did a 25 min march home, i'm going away four weeks tomorrow as well and was hoping to get another half stone off. Im going to go drink a couple of pints of water and have an early night. Your menu sounds more inspired than mines, i had a tuna and sweet potato salad for lunch, and as a treat for dinner a ham and pickle sandwich. Im savong my calories for tomorrow night, wine friday!!!

Hello! I am sorry I have been AWOL. I just wanted to pop back and let you know that I have deflected I'm afraid to the low carb threads. I used to do it years ago and was very successful on it, I have lost 7lbs this week and think for me it is the better way of eating and managing my blood sugars. I have to say I haven't been hungry once either which is all good! If I don't pop back, I wanted to say thank you for all the support and good luck with your weight loss journeys!

80/20 I do the shred DVD and think its Brill I've never done exercise at home stuff always preferred gym, cycling, being outside. But with baby no2 my options are limited to get time on my own. The shred is circuit training only takes 25mins including warm up&cool down. I do it in the kitchen 3x a week, and started using rice pud tins for weights but now have 1.5kg hand weights, its really toned up my body as I've lost weight. You do each.circuit 3mins strength, 2mins cardio, 1min abs its Jillian Michaels off the biggest loser tv program. I got my dvd for £5 from play.com

I think you can find the shred on YouTube now - lots of other stuff too.

Newbie here! I'm starting weightwatchers on Thursday night as Friday is when the 1 year countdown to my wedding starts! Eek!

I'll let you know on Thursday what my starting weight is but it will being around 14 stone which is pretty terrible for someone who is only 5"2!! Currently a size 16 but would like to be a 12 in a years time which would probably involve getting to 11 stone something, should be doable..... right?

I'm joining this group as I don't have any local friends who need to lose weight (skinny bitches!) but want people to chat with about it, glad to see others find the weekends hardest too!
