Ah yes, it's that time again. New list, new decor. Same comfy chairs though Grin

So, pull up a chair, settle in and make yourselves at home Smile

Good luck with the blood test, I don't envy you as I have a massive needle phobia.

I've got an almighty headache. Next door neighbours are having a party and their music is very loud. They are lovely neighbours and don't play loud music often so i can't complain. I just hope it doesn't go on too late or that I can fall asleep even with the music blaring.

I plan to do damage limitation tomorrow but not actual sw meals. Monday I'll be back to it and will ve very strict too which will mean no chocolate hobnobs.

FriendofDorothy · 17/03/2012 23:47

Ah I have had a lovely few days off. I have eaten anything and everything I wanted. I just have to get through tomorrow and then I am back on the wagon!

pixiestix · 18/03/2012 08:42

Glad you enjoyed it Doro! Smile There's nothing worse than going off plan and then not even having fun because you feel so guilty.

I'm at work and eating an apple while my colleague tucks into a big greasy bacon sarnie in front of me Sad

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/03/2012 09:54

Glad you had a great time dot.

So much for the line. I'm a big fat failure at the moment!

Happy mothers day one and all!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/03/2012 09:54
pixiestix · 18/03/2012 10:14

You are NOT a big fat failure, you are just getting used to your new weight and letting it settle before moving on to the next big push Wink

I have rather fudged my healthy morning with a Chai Latte Blush Does anyone (ie CSWS Wink ) know how many syns it will be? I had skimmed milk which I can use as my HEA and it was a Grande 'Bucks one. Can I get away with about 4-5syns or am I totally kidding myself? Grin It think they are about 10syns normally but I can't remember what type of milk that includes.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/03/2012 10:17

I've looked for you, it's 10 I'm afraid Grin.

Cheers mate, it's just been the last 3 weekends; birthdays, rugby and mothers day. What did you get today then from T?

pixiestix · 18/03/2012 10:21

No! Nooooooooooo! Even with skimmed milk and using my HEA choice???

Her and DH were still in bed when I left for work - fair enough, I was up at 5.30am! Confused So hopefully I might get at least a hug and a card when I come home tonight. Did your DH come up with something good from I?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/03/2012 10:42

Ha can you do 100sit ups in the office to counteract it?! I'm sure there will be a card waiting for you at home. I got a card and charm for my charm bracelet. That will do nicely. Dh is revising all day so I'm stuck with a grumpy teething daughter!! Grin

bee how are things with AM?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/03/2012 10:43

Oh It would be 10 without using HEA so maybe 5-6? GrinGrinGrinGrin

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/03/2012 11:24

You should be able to deduct 6 for your hea, so that's a much more respectable 4! What actually is a chai latte?Confused

I was up at 5:30 too, as well as doing a night feed at 1:15 and having to give Nurofen and cuddles at 9. I am presuming teeth, as we still only have 6 at 20 months, and he's been sleeping badly (well, even worse than usual for over a week now).

Lots of home made cards for me today, and a mug and some chocs from dd that she chose in a sale at school.

pixiestix · 18/03/2012 12:35

Aww, that sounds nice Cheese. Well, not the teething part!

4 syns is much better! Grin A chai latte is a milky tea made with cinnamon, cloves, cardamon and ginger. You can get it in a tea bag which is syn free as a HEA or you can get an evil, calorie ridden 'Bucks one that is made with a sweetened concentrate and is YUMMY!

That sounds like a rotten night CSWS but a nice morning. Hope some teeth pop out soon and give your DS some relief. T only had 6 teeth at about 14 months and then she suddenly got five in one weekend!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/03/2012 12:52

I knew csws would know the answer. Sounds like you got some nice cards / pressies. Shame about the early wake up, I guess your DH can't help with feeding though! Smile

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 18/03/2012 16:07

Please help me regain control. I have managed to consume about 3 weeks worth of syns from last night and was doing great today until an hour ago and have eaten slice of cake some m n ms piece of quiche and mini fudge. Stupid fat bitch.

Need wise words and advice on damage limitation please .

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 18/03/2012 18:28

ok in the name of damage limitation and not including last night as it was an offical night off, i have worked out my syns for the crap i ate and im going to shame myself by posting;

approx 150g peanut m&ms (dp bought a large bag yest) 38.5 syns
slice of home made quiche (shop bought pastry and hope made filling) 25.5syn
slice of HM coffee cake 21 syns
2 mini fudges 6syns
1 chicken nugget 2 syns

Total 93 bloody syns in an afternoon, shame on me.

So out of this weeks total syns i have 12 syns for the week left and its about 1 1/2 roughly per day.

Tis gonna be a long week bur i deserve it and just hope i reign it in enough to at least stay the same.

this is the line under today.

Natznjamesnbubs · 18/03/2012 18:51

well ladies well and truely fell off wagon. went to a theme park and had fresh baked donuts and chocolate sauce and candy floss. then my other half took me out for a chinese so had few long vodkas and a prawn cocktail and curried chicken breast with boiled rice. had a lovely day and was well worth it. but dreading weigh in lol xxx

Rianoceros · 18/03/2012 19:27

happy mothers day Smile and Thanks

debka · 18/03/2012 20:00

Right you Off The Wagon Ladies. Listen up.

You are not big fat failures . You are normal women doing a brilliant job at losing weight. Even thin people have the odd binge. Now get back up, dust yourself off and back on the plan. You can do it! You ARE doing it!!

Girders if I were you I would keep my syns under 10 for the rest of the week, but not restrict all the way back to 1 or 2.

Of all things to spend 4 syns on, pixie, sweet milky tea with weirdy spices in is THE LAST THING I would choose. Actually scrub that, the last thing would be what my aunt uses hers on- stewed prunes. WTF???!!! Grin

Sounds like some nice Mothers Day presents. I was secretly hoping for chocolate Grin but got a pretty teacup/pot and some flowers and a card with a badge which I've had to wear all day!

Hedgepig · 18/03/2012 20:47

Just read that as Wagon Wheels Debka Grin, I have a bit of a chocolate fixation at the moment.

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/03/2012 21:09

Gosh MIS - that's a lot of syns for not a lot of actual food! I bet that none of that even filled you up at all! Do you have 15 syns a day normally then? Is that what your consultant recommends? My understanding has always been that the less you have to lose, the lower your syns target should be, so whilst someone who is 25 stone can eat 15 syns without it being a problem, someone who is lighter should have less than that.

But all that aside, what Debka said really. Dust yourself off and get back on the wagon, and try to plan for how you can avoid a scenario like that happening again.

Now, would it be bad to have a second (big) chocolate when I've also had a small slice of choc cake with 3 cadbury's mini eggs and a tiny bit of sorbet today Hmm?

debka · 18/03/2012 21:13

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/03/2012 21:16

Debka are you doing nhs c25k or iPhone app?

kid · 18/03/2012 21:33

I intended to be good today but that went out of the window after I had 2 weetabix for breakfast.
I've had a lovely roast dinner (beef, potatoes, carrots, sweetcorn, cauliflower and gravy) all lovingly cooked by DH.
I also had 2 maybe 3 glasses of white wine spritzers.
Then, I lost it big time and most of the chocolate biscuits. In total, I probably ate about 10 but I didn't bother counting. I did leave 1 in the biscuit tin though for some strange reason. Maybe to make myself feel better for not eating all of them?!

I've planned my meals for the week so all being well, I can limit the damage I've done this weekend.

Hope everyone had a lovely day. If you did fall off the wagon, get back on it now, I insist. Besides, I need the company to keep me on the straight and narrow Grin

SlinkyB · 18/03/2012 22:11

Just caught up on thread and it made me chuckle! I love how honest you've been with your list of Norrty food and syn count Girders - most of us just put ?had a bit of a bad afternoon" Grin. I could easily put that yummy junk away in an afternoon, when not even remotely hungry (don't often associate hunger with food, more comfort).

Loved the Sgt Major pep-talk debka - well done for the serious Talking To, and for keeping everyone motivated. Agree with everything you said.

You lot are doing fantabulously, and are allowed a day off once in a while.

SlinkyB · 18/03/2012 22:13

P.S thanks for learning me about Chai lattes pix - I used to serve them in a coffee shop in Sydney and didn't have a clue what they were! All the posh ladies would order them, tee hee.
