Hedgepig · 16/03/2012 11:52

Huffpot · 16/03/2012 14:32

happy sigh

Rianoceros · 16/03/2012 21:42

think guinness will be about a million syns a pintSad

also loving the name arsemaggot. DS1 takes great pleasure in referring to exBIL as uncle Knobhead. tee hee.

been weepy and Sad here too. pah.

not much going on here, though my try and consume a pint of the black stuf tomorrow (rude not toWink), lunch with my parents at Dsis's house on Sunday, and then a totally insignificant day on Monday no doubt.

Rianoceros · 16/03/2012 23:20

have been inspired to look at irish recipes. have always really fancied colcannon, and tomorrow may just have to be the daySmile

am browsing the Nandos website and am Confused (for DS1s school trip)

am also quite scared at abandoning DS1 to the city without me or DHBlush He will be fine, it's just a long way south!!!

Hedgepig · 16/03/2012 23:55

La la la DRINK!
as you were ladies Grin

kid · 17/03/2012 00:23

I had Indian takeaway tonight, first one this week and aiming for no mot until next Friday. I stuck with veg biryani and didn't have any naan bread or poppadoms. I was going to have a cornetto as it was the last one and I didn't want dh or dc arguing over it. i didnt have it in the end though as i was too lazy to go and get it!

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 17/03/2012 09:13

rianocerous try the irish lamb and colcanon pie from slimming world, it was delish and syn free, we had it last weekend.

well i weighed in this week and i lost 1lb so my grand total since 7th Jan is 1 stone exactly. I was a little disapointed as i was really good and exercised too, clearly must be strickter next week.

todays food ;

B- orange, banana and yogurt 1/2 syn
L- ministrone soup
D - Pizza and homemade chips too many syns to count (tis a treat and all fattening but for 1 dinner i dont care! will just run extra hard tomorrow)

off to visist a friend this afternoon and i have made a coffee cake which i will have a tiny sliver as it would be rude not too.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and mothers day (for those who are mothers)

debka · 17/03/2012 09:45

girders Grin at the way you say you Must Be Stricter then tell us you're having pizza and chips and coffee cake! 1 stone since Jan is pretty good going IMO, carry on at that rate and you'll lose another 4 by Christmas!!

huffpot I am determined, not sure where it's come from, but I really want to lose this weight.

natz £35 a go Shock Shock Shock I run for 40 minutes and that's FREE!!

cheesey how's it going underneath the Drawn Line?? Grin You start off really slow with c25k so you may be alright re shin splints.

bee Shock at H, what a nob. Hope there's not too much disruption chez you, sounds a nightmare with 2 littl'uns.

I'm having everyone round here tonorrow for Mother's Day (I'm such a mug). Won't be v SW but I've saved syns for the last few days so hopefully it'll be alright. Don't care 2 hoots about St Patrick's Day so there's a million syns saved ffom the Guinness right there Grin

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/03/2012 09:45

MIS - you do know that sw chips are syn free don't you?
And if you made your 'pizza' from 1 co-op or asda chosen by you wholemeal pitta bread, then you could actually do that without syns as well.
(a real pizza can easily use your entire week's syns allowance)

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/03/2012 09:45

Sorry - pressed post too soon. Meant to also say well done on your stone :).

debka · 17/03/2012 09:46

Hello csws

pitta bread pizza is just so joyless though

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/03/2012 09:48

Oh and just spotted your earlier question MIS. 5-8 syns a day sounds fine to me. It is important to feel that you are not totally restricted :).

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/03/2012 09:49

Hello debka .
Don't tell me that as it's on my menu for Monday lunch and I haven't done it before this time around.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 17/03/2012 09:50

It's not going very well debka, I've lost all my motivation. Dd is being a nightmare due to molars coming through. So I had a pain au chocolat for breakfast - dh thought he was being helpful by going out and getting some, I only wanted a pint of milk Smile

Are you using the iPhone app or NHS choices?

hedge how's your head?
girders enjoy your pizza soulless pitta

Cheeseandbiscuits · 17/03/2012 09:51

csws, I think they are a bit like cardboard but there is someone on here who made them and thought they were good. Can't remember who though.

Rianoceros · 17/03/2012 10:07

lol hedge Grin

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 17/03/2012 10:50

Debka Im having a night off tonight and i will be strickter as off Sun am Wink.

csws im trying to ignore the syn value in the pizza and chips tonight, its compensation for not getting chocolate for mothersday (at my request), but im going to not be a piggy and over eat.

Im going to aim to NOT jump on the scales every morning, i vow to now not go on untill wed AM for a mid week weigh in (which will be a massive cut back, maybe i have a scales related ocd?).

Im aiming to be 12 stone on my birthday which is about 2lb a week for the next 12 weeks, i hope its doable provided i dont have anymore pizza and chip binges .

pixiestix · 17/03/2012 11:34

Hello all!
God, loads to catch up on. I have been so lax with the thread this week.

Thanks for remembering it was my girlie night CSWS. I did as you advised and took loads of yummy crudites and a big salad. Once I was there I had two glasses of wine, some garlic bread, some dips and lots of superfrees - bypassing pizza, macaroni cheese, all kinds of bread and delicious puddings Angry. i thought I had been quite saintly but when I got home and totted it all up I had had 60 syns! Shock So I spent the rest of the week saving syns and I only went 3.5 over for the week. Not tooooooo bad, but, god, imagine how over I would have been if I had eaten whatever I wanted Shock I can't imagine the amount of calories that all my friends had! Shock

Sorry you aren't going to be around much TSP. Your posts always make me smile. I will make do with stalking you on FB. Wink

Its brilliant to read of all your fantastic weight losses. Debka you are totally amazing! Smile

I don't want to tempt fate but I feel bloody brilliant this week - after my PMT fest last weekend Grin I have been totally on track and feel really in control of the diet. And I weighed in at group and I'm back down to within a stone of my target! 13.5lbs away. Woop! Grin

Natznjamesnbubs · 17/03/2012 17:51

hi ladies flying post. got agonising toothache today so want to scream.

todays meals
breakfast 2small wholemeal bread with spread of butter 1 syns and beans and a banana.
lunch wholemeal pasta with passata garlic chicken and herbs and mullerlight yogurt and a pear.
dinner quorn chilli with peppers and onions and brown rice.

really trying to be good. think i may have found the cause of my weight gain for last 3 months even though i exercise regularly and eat generally well. so got wheels in motion to sort myself out. have a good weekend xx

CantSleepWontSleep · 17/03/2012 19:13

It's so easily done pix!

That's very cryptic natz! Care to share?

kid · 17/03/2012 19:47

I went out for Mothers Day meal today, I had a naughty philly burger and chips which was double cheese burger in a bun and about 6 chips. Not SW friendly but it was a special occassion. I wasn't going to have desert, but everyone else was and it would have been rude not to. So, here I am feeling like I am about to pop.

I've got in-laws coming round tomorrow for dinner so I guess I won't be having a day off for Mothers day. Nevermind, todays meal was lovely anyway.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and if you have rain (like I do here), hope it doesn't dampen your spirits too much!

Natznjamesnbubs · 17/03/2012 21:03

lol well its a mixture of things lol..i am getting a blood test for thyroid problems and getting the marina coil taken out and getting my wisdom teeth ripped out as well. having a nightmare of a time at the moment. aparently thats is a big factor in weight gain. hows everyones week going? xx
