Ah yes, it's that time again. New list, new decor. Same comfy chairs though Grin

So, pull up a chair, settle in and make yourselves at home Smile

Well done Pixie, that's fantastic! Am chuffed for you :)

Grin that was a mistake where I typed I lost 8st 11 - I meant I had lost 3st 1lb but at one stage it was 3st 11.5lb but I put some on again!

Rest of today went ok: Afternoon snacks was grapes, melon and a satsuma.
Speed curry with rice & SW chips for dinner (cos we can just never decide what to have!) have plenty of rice & curry left for lunch tomorrow, and going to try and be syn free all day as dh is taking me out for a belated anniversary meal.

Have just got into bed with a coffee, a cherry acitvia and chopped up melon, grapes, kiwi, orange and apple. Have some of that for the dc's lunches tomorrow too.

Syns for the day was Mayo on my salad and 2 bites of a traybake I was carrying to dh I was going to have a bag of cheesy wheels from Lidl but they're 5syns! I'd be better with whisps only they're in thw attic! (yes, that's the lengths we go to in this house to keep temptation out of the way!)

Hope you all have a great Friday!

grinningbee · 20/04/2012 07:32

Morning everyone!

Yay Pixie! What a fab loss Smile

FHF You're fruit intake is positively saintly. I'd be on the loo all day if I ate that much fruit BlushGrin

Kid I looked at the NHS bmi thingy too yesterday. It tells me that the top weight for my shortarsedness is 10st. But if I wanted to be in the middle of the healthy range I should be about 8st 12lb. Yeah... I think that's a little unrealistic.

Facecrack Where are you?

I have no car today as Thing has taken it to work to mend. It sounds like a tractor again (cracked catalytic convertor) and needs new front brakes. So I have a good 10 hours of entertainment to try and find for the littlies

Village grapevine reported 4 vans outside the house yesterday. Large reels of wiring were spotted. I wonder if they're rewiring it too...

And lastly before my cuppa runs out, food for the day:

Ready brek, 1 x ryvita with 1 tsp reduced sugar marmalade (1/2 syn), banana
Omelette with chopped ham and cherry tomatoes, yogurt, apple
Beef rogan josh and veggies, 2 x hobbit bread

I need to fess up that I had a rich tea biccy yesterday (yes, just 1!!) so that brought the syn total to 4 yesterday.

FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 08:21

Cooeee bee I'm over here. Well done on getting back on plan. The housing sounds a nightmare.

pixie that is brilliant, well done you. Have you managed to do anything on your list yet?

I haven't been around as much as things are crazy busy. Dd STILL has diarrhoea. Her bum is red raw. I'm stuck in the bloody house as she can't really mix with other kids. And when she goes, it's explosive so don't fancy being caught out in the shops. The weather is so crap so we can't even go to the park. I even had to cancel my coffee with lumpy today. I was looking forward to meeting her

fh&f that's an incredible amount of fruit, I'm impressed. You must be very, urm, regular!
lake you found me on FB, cool. Will add you to the group when I get on the PC later today.

grinningbee · 20/04/2012 08:42

Oh, poor dd Face Sad hope she gets better very soon, that sounds awful for both of you. You'll have to reschedule with the Lumpy one. I bet you two will have a fab time!

I might go and make the curry in a minute. It'll stop the dc climbing all over me! If I move, dd says "naughty climbing frame!".

And thank you. I feel sooooo much better already for being back on it. 3 and a tiny bit days into it and there's a difference already. I'm hoping for a decent chunk off next week Grin.

OP posts:
FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 08:55

Thanks bee, I'm feeling very sorry for both of us! Har at being used as a climbing frame. I'm hoping to make some baby friendly muffins for DD later, hoping it will tempt her to eat something.
B: fruit and ff yog
L: chicken cous cous salad
D: vegetable lasagne (1/2 syns)

Rianoceros · 20/04/2012 11:39

dammit, my post vanished.

great loss pixie.

I am on-plan, but missed dinner last night as I have an explodey headache and went to bed early. It still feels like my eyes will pop! Will have lasts nights dinner tonight, had porridge with a teaspoon of golden syrup for brekkie, and have jacket potato with ham and salad for lunch. yum.

I got a rejection letter today, from my application for a seasonal job at a local supermarket. even though I decided I didn't want to work there about 30 seconds after the application went in, I am still feeling a bit Sad, as people keep telling me how good it is to ge interview experience. I can't even get a bloody interview! Am wondering what is wrong with me now (I shop there - I have seen some of the staff! ). Do you think it might be because I corrected the two spelling mistakes on the application form?

got to take my achey head to work nowSad

have a good daySmile

pixiestix · 20/04/2012 11:54

Thank you lovelies! The trick now is to not get complacent and fall head first into a tray of doughnuts so I can get a good loss next week as well. I dont know whats wrong with me but as soon as I get a good result I feel my inspiration just fading away Confused Surely it should be motivational to get a good loss??!

Oh Face poor DD Sad I hope the muffins help. T goes onto a diet of eggs, bananas and watered down formula when she has got the runs like that -but I'm sure you know all the tricks being a doc! Wink
I've sort of done some of my list - the easy bit! I went to TWO mums groups this week (though I didn't really talk to anyone) and I've spoken to DH about what to do about the CBT. He agrees that the options they have given me arent workable but if I can find something else then he will totally back me and look after T while I go. So not too bad an effort so far Blush

pixiestix · 20/04/2012 11:56

Rats, posted too soon.

Ria that sucks Sad But you don't really want to work in a supermarket anyway so stuff 'em. My ex,who had three degrees, applied to be a stockman in Safeways once when he was on his arse end - they rejected him without an interview and he framed the rejection letter!

FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 12:05

Yeh stuff them ria. You are prob over qualified. Have you applied for anything else?

Thats good pixie. Try and find a CBT thing to suit you, it gets really good results. Have you looked on the mind website. Can your GP refer you to iCOPE. PM me if you want, I work in your local area so can find out whats around if you want. We should meet up BTW.
I am the same once I have a good loss, I automatically think it gives me a right to cheat. Isobel has been living on BRAT but I am getting worried that all shes had is toast and banana for over a week. So we shared a croissant this morning and she has some cheesy mash and cauliflour for lunch. I am going to do veg and pasta for dinner.

grinningbee · 20/04/2012 14:13

Ria I agree - overqualified! And an application you've had to correct? Bad. Hope the explodey headache buggers off soon. I'll be in your neck of the woods in 6 weeks - want me to go and kick some supermarket butt? Wink

Pixie Stay away from the doughnuts! Good news re getting some of the list done.

Face What on earth is BRAT? Glad she's eating a little something.

We're off into Peterborough in the morning I think. Now this could be a problem. The past few weeks I've had bits of a cake (with the dc) in Costa on a Saturday, and we've also been having a pasty in the bakers Blush.

The plan is to have a big breakfast, and then take a banana or something. It's the only test during the week, so if I can survive it I'm laughing.

I forgot to mention that on Wednesday evening at the playgroup committee meeting, the lady that hosts it makes amazing cakes. Right in front of my nose was a table groaning with homemade muffins and the thickest millionnaires shortbread you have ever seen. The caramel layer alone must have been 1cm thick. I just looked at it all sad eyed Grin

OP posts:
FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 14:31

Banana
Rice
Apple
Toast
Smile

Everytime she wee's she's crying as her fanny is so sore. We've done nappy free time...it's like poo roulette.
I'm in desperate need of cake. I find the hardest time of day is the afternoon when we are stuck indoors. I know we have 12 tim tams in the cupboard.(think penguin biscuits)
Take a bag of fruit bee and allow yourself a nice coffee in costa. Or jut don't I to costa? I find avoidance is the best tactic.

FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 15:14

I've just made the ratatouille lasagne for our dinner tonight. It doesn't look very inspirational. Dh is not going to be impressed! Smile

grinningbee · 20/04/2012 15:25

Ah, thanks. Toast is always good when they're feeling off.

Yep, normally avoidance would be good but it seems to be our Saturday regime. I will just have a black decaff and feed cake to the littlies. And not lick my fingers Grin.

Loving the idea of poo roulette. And bad that the tim tams are calling to you. I read that bit about drinking tea through them. Nom nom nom!

Er, could you hide the lasagne under a big pile of salad?

I made the curry this morning. Managed to slice my finger and then get onion juice in it. Nice. Still, that's one less thing to do this evening. I am sooooo tired.

While I think of it - Kid can you post your roulade recipe please? I fancy a go at that. Or is it the one in the latest mag?

OP posts:
grinningbee · 20/04/2012 15:39

Oh, and you can buy tim tams here... but I bet you knew that anyway Smile

OP posts:
FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 16:08

Can you? I actually prefer a penguin! So far I have resisted. Dd and I made raspberry muffins but I put banana in them so I wouldn't eat them. Smile

grinningbee · 20/04/2012 16:13

Good move! I forgot that you don't like banana. There's a place that has a couple of shops in London called cybercandy. They sell all sorts of foreign chocs/sweets etc.

Sorry for anyone that is a temptation to! I used to get a few bits from there in the past. Yum!

OP posts:
MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 20/04/2012 16:17

Afternoon all, anyone got a miserable afternoon like i have? Its stotting down and we all got drenched on the school run so heating on and pjs all round.

bee well done for being back on plan and resisting all those cakes on wednesday, im sure i would of been eyeballing the table all night and drooling slightly.

Face hope your poor dds bum gets better soon, what about nappy free time in a room with a washable floor? also well done on the 2stone woo hoo!

pixie well done on the 4lbs, thats a fab loss.

Ria dont be disheartened regarding rejection letter, im sure something will come along soon.

Also well done to all the losers this week, it wsa an impressive list, my dod is tomorrow am and i did not weigh in last week as i have 2 days of total de-railmnet and have been super duper uber good since so i hope to break a stone barrier tomorrow (fingers and toes crossed).

Im quite pleased as i got comlimented on my weight loss by 2 mums at school today and gave me a wee confidence boost for the rest of the day. Also this morning i managed my second 25min run and finally completed week 7 of C25K which has been my nemisis since the half term holidays.

food today Green day (i think)

B - Porridge and banana HA and HB
L - 2 slices of small wholemeal with cheese and a dash of worscestrer sauce
D - 2 quorn sausage, mash, carrots and gravy

2 syns for mash and 2.5 gravy
snacks ff yog and satsuma

may have another yog later and another piece of fruit if still peckish.

Huffpot · 20/04/2012 16:33

sighs
Home from a trudge to the other side of London to see a friend and her now 2 month old baby.
Not bad but bless her not a drink offered(and I've never been to hers before)so couldnt be cheeky and make it myself so other than fruit havent eaten since this morning

Time to feed the munchkins, put em to bed and then finally sit and eat

I can't believe DD is still creating body fluids for you Face. Have you tried vaselining her to see if that helps with a barrier down there?

My dad also swears by boiled milk with a sprinkle of black pepper to clog things up

Lol I avoid the Aussie shop in Covent Garden as I always walk out with loads of junk that I haven't eaten in years!

Mmmmmmmm....now I'm thinking of it all

kid · 20/04/2012 17:19

bee, not sure if recipe is in latest mag, but you use 4 eggs which you have to separate, 1tsp baking powder, sweetener and quark. Does your recipe sound similar? If you want me to post the one I used, I'll dig it out for you (not thats its been buried very well yet)

FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 18:25

Oh huffpot that sounds crap. I'd have just asked but then I'm downright rudeSmile. Was it a lovely squidgey baby though?

FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 18:27

Thanks for the tips huffers and Scots. She's coated in metanium and is having lots of nappy free time.

Hope weigh in goes ok scotland. Let us know how you get on. My dad says stoating Smile

FaceCrack · 20/04/2012 20:23

The ratatouille lasagne was surprisingly good Smile.

kid · 20/04/2012 21:20

Huff, bet the 2 month old baby was lovely. I would have asked for a glass of water or something in the hope that she'd take the hint that I was hoping for something instead of water.

I always offer tea, mainly because I drink so much of it.

I had vegetable briyani for dinner tonight, from the indian takeaway but its still okay as its 11.5 syns on green days and I haven't used all of my syns on any day since Monday so if by some chance I went over today, I should have a few to spare. Hope so anyway.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 20/04/2012 22:31

Funny you should say that about the fruit making you run.... I think I may need a plug for my bum!! :D

Food today? Oh dear oh dear...

B: banana grapes and melon
L: speed curry & rice chock full of peppers, carrots, mushrooms. Followed by a bowl of mixed fruit salad (kiwi grapes melon apple strawberries and plum)

Dinner...... Where do I begin? Blush dh treated me for our anniversary... Starters was haddock & potato cakes, mains, rump steak with champ (vvvvv buttery!!!) mixed root veg (also vvvvvv buttery) followed by a wedge of lemon meringue..... Extremely synful!!

Have a nice glass of chilled white now, though medication says to avoid alcohol, but sure what harm can it do??

All free & Superfree the rest of the week Grin

Mil has the kids overnight, me & dh are living on the wild side watching the apprentice!

Poor dd facecrack, wee dote is bound to be do uncomfortable.
