We'll get there in the end, by whatever means and delays and twists of fate. I DECLARE it, and it shall therefore be so

Rianoceros · 27/03/2012 13:45

dorothy (and lumpy and morecoffee)

happy anniversary cheese

I too have not murdered my H, though it is not our anniversary or anything, but worth mentioning to draw attention to my vast amount of self control in this matterWink we are having a bad day

Hedgepig · 27/03/2012 14:06

BIG HUGS to all our ttc-ers I have everything crossed for you ladies.

More coffee in the absence of CSWS (who seems to not be about [I hope you are OK petal]) they do look quite red/original friendly apart form the potatoes (I think the jacket is OK as a HEb if you eat the skin but not the wedges )

I have eaten 2 small KitKats and a Rockey bar today Blush blooming meetings they were just sitting there and I couldn't resist

Cheeseandbiscuits · 27/03/2012 14:07

Right lumpy, 26 months. I didn't realise it was that long. How much do you need to lose for Fertility treatment.
dot did you get any help from Fertilty clinic? Why so you think you aren't losing?
morecoffee good luck with TTC.

Sorry you are rowing with your DH ria. I think mine is wonderful today.

LumpyLatimer · 27/03/2012 14:11

Cheese yar - I rarely (if ever) quantify it because written down it's so depressing. But I have passed through the misery into a quite stoic and calm state of mind. Because you know what? Sometimes it does take 2 or 3 years to get pregnant. It's the luck of the draw I think, mainly. And other women aren't stealing my babies or anything. I need to lose about 1.5 stone for The Clinic. We have had actually had a bit of a break from it all since Jan this year (although I think DP did think he'd got me up the spout on hols, despite my telling him the timing was wrong!), so I can clear my head a bit/get healthy (we decided that getting pregnant at my weight would not be a good idea, whether naturally or scientifically).

So yeah. THat's me. Healthy and strapping and bugger all wrong with either of us - just bloody unlucky!

FriendofDorothy · 27/03/2012 14:12

I did get some help - they put me on medication to help with ovulation but I am not sure it has helped this month.

I am just having one of those whingy days!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 27/03/2012 14:32

Everyone needs a whingy day every now and then dot. Don't blame you.

lumps that is a very sensible plan. . 1.5 stone actually won't take that long if you knuckle down. Having said that, I've been this weight since October FFS. Sad

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 27/03/2012 15:16

Hedgepig, the wedges were chopped up spuds with skin on baked with frylite. Could that not be a HEB?

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/03/2012 15:54

they could coffee, but the sweetcorn isn't red day friendly :).

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 27/03/2012 16:30

Yes, thought that. That's why I really only do extra easy, its less complicated and you can have all the green and red foods. I do have an occasional green day if I want extra bread without using my syns :)

Was wondering though about those campbells pasta and sauce things. Syns online says, for eg, the cheese leek and ham one is 5syns when made up according to pack instructions, so how many syns would these be when made from skimmed milk and no butter? Thanks in advance :)

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 27/03/2012 16:38

Actually, while I think of it, how much weight do people loose per week when doing just red and green days as opposed to just extra easy? Im thinking that doing extra easy you loose less weight/loose weight more slowly?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 27/03/2012 18:11

I'm not sure. I think if you stick to EE then it should come off but you need to be careful with portion size, that is all. I only ever have 75g pasta etc ie normal portions.

Hedgepig · 27/03/2012 21:28

Don't know morecoffee I did/do EE cos it's all I can get my brain around, but if I stuck to plan I could loose 1.5 to 2 lb on EE

Cheeseandbiscuits · 27/03/2012 21:32

It's the day of doom tomorrow. It's a bit quiet on here at the mo so I'm expecting a small list. Don't forget to PM me tomorrow!

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 27/03/2012 21:46

Hedgepig Ive been loosing 1.5lbs a week on EE, but wondered about the green/red plans as lots of people at my group loose 3lbs plus a week! This thurs will be my 5th weigh in (that includes the very first weigh in)

Cheese Im still new on here, so hope you dont mind me asking but....... What is the day of doom and why do people need to pm you?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 27/03/2012 22:03

Aaah morecoffee, I should have explained it to you. Sorry. Every weds everyone weighs in. Or they use their last weigh in from group. They then PM that weight to me and I publish it as a list on here. You don't have to say how much you weigh, some people do and some don't. You can just give loss for the week and total loss. Feel free to join in and PM me tomorrow. It's quite motivating.

Hedgepig · 27/03/2012 22:14

I think 1.5 lb is a good sustainable weight loss for the long term. The very few attempts I made at green or red days I always messed up

debka · 27/03/2012 22:17

Sorry for being awol. Have had a shockingly bad sw week, won't bore you with the details but the upshot was a 3lb gain Blush. Ah well, you have your good weeks and bad! I am now 6lbs off my 5st award, what d'ya reckon chaps, can I do 6lb in a week if I eat nothing but melon and lentil pie???

TTCers you have every sympathy. FoD is it Clomid you're on? My sis is now pg after 9 goes of Clomid, they had their first appointment for IVF booked for the week she found out she was pg. It is utterly bloody TTC, the strain on my sister and her DH was incredible. lumpylatimer sounds like a good attitude to me, BEST OF LUCK to you all.

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 27/03/2012 22:22

Thanks cheese! :) Well my group weigh in day is a thursday. Im sort of trying not to weigh at home as weirdly it tends to make me go off track and blow it even if I have lost weight (in fact especially if I have lost) but then I am strange that way! I will decide tommorow, depending on how the day goes and whether I can trust myself not to cheat! [completely barmy emoticon]!haha!

Yes, you're right hedgepig, I think I need the simplicity of EE to keep me going with it :)

Rianoceros · 27/03/2012 22:24

I won't PM you cheese, as I need to Start Again.

I love the idea of MFP, but apart from my first week I have just kept gainingBlush, and as I need to empty my freezer SW is the way for now.

Does it sound a bit pathetic that I need a "boost" in my personal life to get my SW mojo back? It's so wearing existing from day to day waiting to see if DH gets an interview/job offer and -trying to be understanding about his pain related mood swings

FriendofDorothy · 27/03/2012 22:50

It is Clomid I am on, and it seems to have completely buggered up my cycle!

I am not sure if I am going to weigh in this week. I feel a bit despondent and will see if I weigh loads more than I did last time I weighed in!

Have been to Zumba tonight and I think she broke me!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 28/03/2012 07:11

Oh come on everyone you can't just weigh in when you feel Iike it. No one goes on a diet and has good weeks all the time. . That would be weird. RL gets in the way sometimes but you just have to face up to it.

I've gained. I was expecting it after a bad month all in all. I've been good for last few days and will continue to be good so hoping for a good result next week.

I've also signed up for race for life! Who wants to do it with me? it's 15 jul in Richmond park. So come on huff, lumps, pix and anyone else.........race ya! Grin
