Morning, morningcoffee welcome to the thread. You have the same start weight as me, you have done really well so far.

I have just weighed in and have lost 3.5lb, 5 more lbs and I will be 12 stone something, not been in the 12s since pre children 8 yrs ago.

Hope

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 24/03/2012 07:26

You all have a nice Saturday ( posted too soon before).

Hedgepig · 24/03/2012 07:57

Morning , can't see what the day is like as it is very very foggy out there

Welcome Morning make yourself comfy you are doing really well

Bee my sweet hope you are ok and come back very very soon

I have the joys of Tesco his morning I tried yesterday but DS2 fell asleep and at 3.5 he is too big to cram into a baby seat while I did the shopping.

Food
B mushroom omelet , hobbit toast HEB, fruit
L soup (not sure what I have in the freezer)
D what ever I get in tesco

Cheeseandbiscuits · 24/03/2012 08:07

Looks like it gearing up to be another beautiful day.

I'd just like to say I'm so sorry that bee decided to go. This is supposed to be a non judgemental and helpful sort of thread. Yes it's mostly about being fat and dieting but we are all pals and I'd hate to think people felt uneasy to post about their personal problems. I'll draw another one of my lines now and we can all play nicely again
_

Today we are off to play in the sunshine. DH is on nights so it's just DD and I. Hoping for a nice chilled out sort of day.

B: weetabix (heb and a) and fruit
L: tuna and pasta salad ( 3 syns for mayo)
D: fish pie and veggies

pixiestix · 24/03/2012 08:13
Sad

What are we going to do without our Bee?

Sad
LumpyLatimer · 24/03/2012 08:26

Oh Bee Sad Sad I have PM'ed you dear. I am so sorry. Things have been so tough for you but you've always been so supportive and kind. Sending all love, matey, and I'm honoured to be naming the next thread although I'm secretly hoping you'll be there to do it with me

Welcome MoreCoffee :) I'm fairly new too and trying to prove I can actually do this Hmm

My food today is a little uncertain on the luncheon front, as I am meeting some pals, but hope to maintain some restraint. The kind of 'day' I have will really be determined by what I have for lunch IYSWIM - whether I have reddish or greenish food!

I have had a MOST virtuous breakfast however (grapes, FF Activia and Muesli (HEB), and this morning I will walk to where I'm meeting my friends which is about 3.5 miles.

I have to say I have never been so active in my life as I am at the moment - I tink I have worked out that it's no good telling myself I'll be a total gym bunny/enter a triathlon, so focusing on what I enjoy and I'm good at instead is working well. For about the last 3 weeks I have either swum 1km or walked at least 2-3 miles almost every day Given what I've eaten it's a fecking good job and all, or I'd be the size of Worcestershire!

Val am Shock at anyone making anything last a month - it'd take me 10 minutes max to get through a box of Mikado. It'd be like putting 'em through a woodchipper Grin This is why I am fat

Cheeseandbiscuits · 24/03/2012 08:40

Oh I forgot to welcome val and morecoffee. Welcome to the gang!

Well done on all the exercise lumps, I've been doing couch to 5 k and quite enjoying it. Hoping to run tonight.

You know when you are getting old; hangovers last 2 days Grin

kid · 24/03/2012 08:47

I'm doing couch to 5jk as well. So far, I've managed to sit on the couch but haven't ran a millimetre. Grin we all have to start somewhere.

I'm not actually a fan of steak but wow, the meal I had last night was amazing. We'll be going back yet again at some point. I didn't even have desert as i was full from the meal.

Welcome morecoffee, sounds like you're doing well so far, keep up the good work Smile

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 24/03/2012 08:53

Morning everyone. Thanks for the welcome Made hedge and lumpy

Got a tricky day ahead. Baking cakes all day for a fundraiser at local school- will be a test of my will power!

Had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for breakfast. All free, doing extra easy today. Ended up eating half a bagel as well though (4.5 syns!)

Wanted some wine tonight so will have to stick to free and supersede for rest of day.

Hope you all have a lovely day :)

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 24/03/2012 09:40

looks like we have a few c25kers on the thread, how far along are you all? Im due to start week 7 tomorrow, im really enjoying the running once i get my stride as for the first few mins all i can think about is i cant do it i will never make it etc!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 24/03/2012 09:44

Oh good luck at the bake sale morecoffee. I am weak willed so I know I would cave!

madein I'm only on week 1, hoping to do run 3 today. Well done for week 7. Do you have an app?

Rianoceros · 24/03/2012 10:19

morning all.

Am battling the black dog again ATM, so lurking, but that's all. I really want to start Cto5k but don't get any further than thinking.

two of the boys are at birthday parties, so at least I will be out of the house and not tempted to bake things. To combat th fact that no-one talks to me I am going to take my OU book and catch up on some reading.

Need to play some food for the week too. DH has a date for his next operation in 5 weeks, so he wants to renew his health kick before then.

have a lovely weekendSmile

Rianoceros · 24/03/2012 10:21

plan

two day hangovers are pants cheese

looking forward to your title lumpy.Smile

welcome to new posters this weekSmile

ValiumQueen · 24/03/2012 10:22

I have just had a quick look at the original thread - "I am not having any more kids - far too old - cannot afford it - last pregnancy was awful" etc. Blush

First trimester is pretty shitty tbh, but nausea seems to be easing a bit thankfully - feel dizzy instead.

I was 17st 5 following DD2s birth, was 17st when I joined this thread originally, and am now 15st 7lb, so getting there. Slowly. If I can weigh this much when DC3 has arrived, I will be happy - any overall loss would be a bonus.

I am doing extra easy as I do not know what I fancy to eat until when I need to eat. Previously whilst pregnant I have eaten pretty much hourly to keep on top of the nausea, which for me lasts for the full pg, so no wonder I am a whopper.

I will need to leave off the C25K for a bit.

I am allowed an extra HEA as pg, and in the early days of BFing, I will get 3 extra HEA!

I am so impressed this thread is still going strong. Is everyone following Slimming World now? I know I used to find it hard seeing the fab stuff Alpine used to eat, as she was doing her own thing afaik.

It is lovely to be back! Grin

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 24/03/2012 10:38

cheese im doing the NHS one and down load the pod cast to my ipod. I really should be on week 8 by now buut had a week off a few weeks ago as work/life got in the way.

Im doing it with SIL but she will not be carring on after its finnished where as i want to continue to run 3 x per week and prob focus on speed when im finnished as im slow as a slug and i simply cannot do hills or any incline as my legs say nooooooooooooooo. She backed out yesterday and i was not going to go either but i thought i must be able to go out on my own, so off i went and im pleased i did.

valium i put on all my weight when i was pg first time with dd and its never shifted except a few lb here and there, i took both pgs as a free reign to eat what i wanted and i am paying for it now. So well done to you for keeping up whilst pg as i would be head first into the biscuit tin by now.

morecoffee i apoloise i believe i was calling you morningcoffee, sorry its because i clearly had not had mine. I like to bake on a sat with the kids and try to too scoff the treats too. Hmmm what to make today........

SlinkyB · 24/03/2012 13:57

Here here, we'll said cheese, I too will miss bee, she is a DoD stalwart Sad Have also pm'd you mate.

Welcome to the new posters, I'm a target member who mostly lurks now. Hope you are all enjoying the fabulous weather!

Rianoceros · 24/03/2012 16:25

I have borrowed my Dad's bikeShock

DS2 is just home from a pool party and is badgering us to take him swimming again soon.

I will just have to motivate myself to get active.

Rianoceros · 24/03/2012 17:37

just nearly killed myself on the bike!! not through effortBlush but because the chain slipped. Oops.

I have just ordered some fitflops. (I did honestly need some new flip flops as I have lived in my Crocs ones the last few summers, and they are a bit grimBlush) Please tell me I am not a gullible fool?!

Hedgepig · 24/03/2012 19:22

I have some fit flop sandals they are really comfy and support my pathetic fallen arch feet. I don't know if they make you fitter but they are nice to wear

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 24/03/2012 19:23

Just checking in to say that I have survived my bake day and not one cake has passed my lips! Not even a lick of the bowl

Just need to make sure they all make it to the sale tommorow Hmm

Having wine and take away tonight so that will be most of my syns used for the rest of the week.....

Hedgepig · 24/03/2012 19:28

morecoffee its a flexible syn day then Grin , well done on the cake avoidance.

I'm relaxing with a wine too, one boy is asleep and the other is clumping around like a herd of elephants having a quiet read

FriendofDorothy · 24/03/2012 19:37

i have done lots of exercising but I am struggling with the eating bit. I think I am just bored with thinking about dieting!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 24/03/2012 22:05

I dunno about fitflops Ria. I have rolling in feet so I have birkenstocks, not very glam I know. Well done on cycling.

dot I find it easier to look at it as a lifestyle change rather than a diet. It seems to help a bit. Then I dig out the recipe books and try something new.

morecoffee very impressed with cake dodging.

I have been super good today. It is about time I had a good day. I think the suny weather helps, I want to look good in shorts soon!
Night all.

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 24/03/2012 23:12

Off to bed now, but avoided take away! Had a much tastier chicken chow main made with rice noodles so saved loads of syns! and used the syns I saved on wine instead Grin night all :)

morecoffeepleaseholdthecake · 24/03/2012 23:14
  • should have said I made it at home instead of take away! Too much wine ........
