I find the EE days hard as I don't know what the superfree foods are which makes in impossible to have a 1/3 of them. I could follow each meal with a couple of pieces of fruit but am worried about the effect of too much fruit.

I am on the verge of packing it all in. Not quite at that point but approaching it fast. Its such a struggle just to make something to eat each day at the moment without the hassle of working out if its ok on SW. I'll be fine by the end of next week. I just need to get some sleep, have a good rest and get some food in the house!

That pilau flavouring is Schwartz pilau rice seasoning

If I were to make tomorrow an EE day, Could I have 2 weetabix, milk and banana for breakfast, tuna and rice (assuming its free) with onions, cucumber, tomatoes for lunch and then I would have to come up with something for dinner. Maybe SW chips, chicken, peppers (again ) and some superfree veg if someone could kindly tell me some so I don't have to spend ages online searching?

I am just over tired, I will be fine at the weekend, just need to get there first.
I am probably a bit disheartened at an expected gain this week. I did have a wonderful meal out on Saturday and wine on Sunday so I don't know why I thought I'd get away with it Grin

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/03/2012 23:17

Our consultant reminded us this week that we are supposed to have 1/3 superfree even on a red or green day kid. Did you not download the pages from the book that my Dh put on our website recently? I can't remember who had asked for them now. If you pm me your email addy I'll send you the list of superfree tomorrow. How about broccoli and green beans with your dinner tomorrow? The rest of what you've listed is fine. Smile

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/03/2012 23:18

Oh and I can't find the seasoning listed but have checked ingredients and it should be free Smile.

kid · 21/03/2012 23:33

I did try and save the page linked but when it was removed, it was also gone from my comp so I clearly did something wrong!

I will PM you my email addy so you can send me the list if you don't mind.

Thanks for checking the seasoning, thats lunch sorted then Smile

I just need to clear up the mess I made tonight (work project) and then I'm off to bed. I hope I sleep better tonight, I've been having loads of weird dreams and harldy getting any sleep. I think I'd still be tired even if I stayed in bed sleeping for the entire day. I will sleep well tomorrow night after gym.

Thanks for your help, I really do need a stern talking to as I still have a long way to go and shouldn't even be considering giving up.
I can do this, I just need some evidence (on the scales) to prove to myself that I'm doing it right.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 22/03/2012 07:56

Morning all.

Busy bloody day ahead and I've forgotten my lunch box. Food looks like
B: fruit and ff yog
L: will buy something
D: salmon avid veg

MadeInScotlandFromGirders · 22/03/2012 08:03

Morning all, hope you have as gorgeous a day as we have in Northumberland.

Kid i feel your pain as i hate having to work out what im going to eat for the day etc but i find meal planning for the week ahead helpfull and i then know i have stuff in to eat for dinner, also as i mentioned above i pre make a big salad bowl for the fridge and just plop a load on with each meal to make sure i have my super free.

pixie well done for getting to your pre christmas weight, how i would love to 9st somthing!

Well done to all the other losers this week, keep in up and we will all be sylph like for summer! Grin

Todays meals are thus;

B - porridge with strawberrys
L - quorn sausage and beans and maybe mushrooms
D - somthing with pasta i think, any one got a creamy pasta recipe using quark? Yesterday i had, baked salmon with sweet chilli sauce on a bed of steam fresh veg and side of mixed salad.

Will shed tonight while kids are at youth club (they have a much better social like than me) slinky im rather jealous of your rather busy social life at the min.

kid · 22/03/2012 08:19

Late DoD for me but i gained 2lb. It had better be gone next week as its not welcome!

Hedgepig · 22/03/2012 08:52

I just tried my breakfast experiment (sorry Kid it takes some preparation) it was pretty yummy. I was inspired by CSWSs spaghetti for breakfast as I like a nice bit of carbohydrate for breakfast but don?t like blowing my healthy extras 1st thing in the day.
I made up 50 g of plain couscous last night and put a load of frozen summer berries on top (equivalent volume so that should make it at least a 1/3 rd super free) and left it in the fridge overnight. I added natural yogurt (used low fat which is pretty low syn but you could use FF)
Mixed it all up and scoffed it, it needed a teeny bit of sweetener as the berries are quite tart. If I?d had had time I could have mixed some other chopped fruit with it. I?ll see how full I feel in a couple of hours

Rianoceros · 22/03/2012 10:01

it's sunny but cold down the coast girders.

I need to get on with this de-cluttering...

Cheeseandbiscuits · 22/03/2012 14:38

Oh that sounds nice hedge. I'm just scoffing a JP in marks... Delish!

mimisays · 22/03/2012 15:43

Hi everyone

I started slimming world yesterday, wondering if somebody could clarify a couple of things for me?

I'm vegetarian and I'm doing green days. I'm finding it all a bit confusing still - is it right that on Green days you get 2 of each healthy extra? So two A and two B?

I think I've been getting confused.

Food today -

Breakfast - Two slices weight watchers toast (HEX) with marmite.
Green tea & some blueberries.

Lunch - A salad of rocket, tomatoes, peppers, cucumber and spring onion, with 28g of cheddar (HEX) and a tablespoon of reduced fat coleslaw. (3.5 syns ish I think)

Not sure what I'm doing for tea. I might have another salad, with quorn fillets perhaps. This warm weather is making me enthusiastic about eating salad, for once!

Does that sound ok though?

What is everybody else having today? If somebody could confirm for me about the healthy extras that would be great.

Thanks!

grinningbee · 22/03/2012 15:44

Couscous for brekky sounds interesting Hedge

Kid I seem to be self sabotaging at the mo as well. I really shouldn't be, what with an op coming up at some point, and my jeans are getting noticeably tighter.

Well done to everyone on the list again this week.

Small house update, as I fear I'm boring everyone to death! It was inspected yesterday, and deemed safe for us to view. Doesn't need any major work so Thing was told. Only we can't go and see it for another week as it isn't cost effective for them to travel out so far for a single viewing. I can't tell you what that's done to my blood pressure!

OP posts:
kid · 22/03/2012 16:01

couscous for breakfast doesn't appeal to me, maybe thats because I have breakfast between 6:30 and 6:45. Maybe at the weekend when I can lay around and have breakfast about 10 I might be tempted. It does sound like an interesting mix.

Hi mimi, yes you can have 2 HEa and 2 HEb when doing red or green days. You only get 1 of each if you are doing Extra Easy.

I'm giving EE a go today, not sure it feels right though as it really doesn't feel like a diet. Lunch today was quite dry as I didn't add any mayo but it still tasted fine. It just took me quite a while to eat.

I've got chicken out ready to be cooked which I'm doing with SW chips and lots of veg. I can hopefully get a delivery slot for shopping to come tomorrow night but I won't hold my breath.

If a 6 year old says you are 'cuddly', that just means fat doesn't it? Blush
I do wish she wouldn't tell everyone that, maybe I can have a quiet word with her and get her to come up with another name, like so pretty or so kind!
I don't mind too much really, it just makes me cringe incase she says it in front of any other adults. The kids don't seem to even notice her saying anything.

Bee, don't be afraid of keeping us updated on the house. Of course we want to know whats happening. What a pain that you have to wait for so long to view inside. Hope the time passes really quickly and that you can get a moving in date instantly.

LumpyLatimer · 22/03/2012 20:30

Right - my behaviour has to stop. I have had the most insane binge today (on a day out - DP off work and we often don't see much of each other so wanted to make the most of it) and I'm utterly ashamed of myself. In the spirit of Owning My Behaviour and accepting what I have done I am going to list what I ate. Then when I WI on Wednesday and have gained half a stone there can be no wailing and self pity, because it will be just reward for my lack of self discipline. So here we go -

B - small bowl of bran flakes (good intentions!)
Snack courtesy of DP - bacon and cheese pastry
Snack also courtesy of DP - small mocha and a ginger biscuits
squares of fudge
L - small bento box with veg tempura and teriyaki tofu. I did leave half the rice because that's obviously what the problem is with today's food Hmm
Cinema snack - huge bag of choc/yog covered nuts and fruits etc.
Supper - 1 round of ham sandiches and a scone and jam.

Blush

I am ashamed and furious and I think that, ladies and gents, should be considered WHERE TO DRAW THE LINE.

Tomorrow is a new start.

Sorry not to have read the thread. I am about to slip into a carb coma Hmm but expect to be up bright and early tomorrow, swimming my 30 lengths and planning a good day

kid · 22/03/2012 21:31

Hi LL, well done for admitting what you ate today. I could confess to eating a HUGE bar of dairy milk tonight but I don't want to confess Grin
I blame DH, he told me to get him one at the shop. He ate 1/3 so I ate the rest. It was really nice and I figure I've got almost a week until DoD so I might get away with it.

Consider your line set in stone so there is no going back over it. Onwards and downwards.

LumpyLatimer · 22/03/2012 21:34

Bless you kid, thanks for being so nice and for Getting It

I will be logging in tomorrow, post-swim, to list a good day's planned food.

kid · 22/03/2012 21:43

I am considering writing off the rest of the week at the moment as I can't be bothered.
I am struggling just to get out of bad and go to work so the thought of haivng to carefully plan my meals is just too much to consider. I didn't even make it to the gym tonight.

I won't over eat tomorrow, I'll be semi sensible overwise I'll just go into a massive out of control eating binge.

I love swimming, not very good at it but its so peaceful (as long as you go at the right time)

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/03/2012 21:45

Kid - 'I really do need a stern talking to as I still have a long way to go and shouldn't even be considering giving up.
I can do this, I just need some evidence (on the scales) to prove to myself that I'm doing it right.'
Eating a huge bar of dairy milk will not give you the evidence that you are looking for! Unless he held a gun to your head and forced you to eat it it is not your dh's fault! Though it would be nice if he was more supportive of your efforts to lose weight, and didn't ask you to buy him chocolate Hmm. Maybe you could get some of those little pots of philly with choc, and have them spread on toast/crackerbread (depending whether you have a HE left/how many syns you want to use) when you feel the urge for choc. Then you still get a treat, but you have a lot less syns.

Welcome mimi :). Coleslaw is a bugger for syns isn't it. I adore the M&S traditional one, but haven't had any since starting sw, despite having it several times a week most weeks before.

kid · 22/03/2012 22:02

I consider myself well and truely told off! Blush

Forget writing off the diet till Monday (I'm too scared now!), I'm back on track from now. I won't eat a single thing tonight and will only snack on fruit and veg tomorrow and most definitely won't be getting a takeaway tomorrow.
Its only me and DH here tomorrow as both DC are staying out so not too much cooking required.

Thanks for telling me off csws, I needed it!

grinningbee · 22/03/2012 23:10

promise to catch up tomorrow, but here's what's going on for those reading Fb.

We went over to the house tonight so that P could see the garden etc (he hadn't yet other than my pics).

We'd just got out of the car and said hello to the neighbours who were outside when a police van screeched up, closely followed by a police car. This was just before 6pm. The lady next door had called them due to a domestic violence incident. An old partner of hers apparently won't take no for an answer, despite being a couple of years on and her having a new partner, and a restraining order.

Now, if you were offered a house next door to that - what would you do?????

OP posts:
grinningbee · 22/03/2012 23:13

Honestly, we couldn't have times it any better. What were the chances of us being there when that happened?

OP posts:
grinningbee · 22/03/2012 23:13

*timed, obviously Hmm

OP posts:
kid · 22/03/2012 23:21

hmm, not ideal at all.
Funny how no one mentioned it to you before now. Glad you now know about it before you've signed on the dotted line. At least now, if you decide to accept it, you know about their situation.

Hope you can reach a decision.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 22/03/2012 23:22

I'm really quite pissed Grin

bee uh oh, that sounds bad? Are younOk?

grinningbee · 22/03/2012 23:29

I don't know what the hell to do to be honest. Also feeling a little squiffy Cheese Grin.

Seriously - what would you guys do? Oh, and the paving slabs have gone missing from the back garden too since Monday. Apparently the council told the previous owners they needed to be removed. They've also said the cooker hood should have been taken Hmm.

I'm thinking we might take our chances back at the bottom of the list... but is that the best thing to do? What a crappy situation.
