Who is up for a stone off in a month?

MeremetaLoucoDiamant · 13/02/2012 22:49

Or maybe as close to that as we can get?

I am size 14, would love to drop a dress size for a specific date next month and I am possibly 20lbs ish overweight, so a stone would be a great starting point.

I am vegetarian but attempting to low carb.

So.... who's in?

Morning all! Not got time to catch up properly, but hats off to those on super strict ZH diet. I most def do t have the will power for that!!

Done well yesterday. Was left with 40 cals by end of the day, but I felt like I ate tons more than I did! I came on my period yesterday so I'm blaming that for falling off last wk Grin. So far today I've had toast and honey. Planing to have tuna wrap for lunch and maybe omlette with quorn for dinner. Not had chance to get out to buy salad stuff and lack of funds mean can't do big shop so having to just live off what's in the house. Time to get my creative hat on!!!

Have gd day all Smile

nenevomito · 06/03/2012 11:54

So far today has been tea and oatcakes (keeps me moving IYSWIM) lunch is going to be quorn sausage omlettes with spinach and dinner will be home made lamb burgers with salad.

good stuff.

Fortunately for me DD is the protein queen and loves quorn omlettes for lunch so I don't have to prepare anything extra. DS is more difficult as he's the Carbohydrate Kid.

nenevomito · 06/03/2012 11:56

I agree that with diets you have to find what works for you. This is the first time I've stuck to one as usually as soon as I fall off the wagon once thats it, I quit for good.

Dukan and ZH I think needs a level of motivation that I just don't have so Kudos to you both!!

EmmaCate · 06/03/2012 12:51

A week and a day late weighing in I think but 14st 1lb; 5 lost. Not on for a stone but at least have lost something! Well done everyone.

Currently mid period so struggling a little (big snacking time for me usually). I have an addictive personality and have mainly ditched nibbling for liking that permanently empty feeling... I feel this is key!

greenfig · 06/03/2012 14:15

Have walked the dog, not hungry but really lacking energy, why? Perhaps not diet related, didn't feel like this on strict Dukan. Will really try to dust off shred dvd tonight, felt lots better for it last year, maybe better energy fix than sugarHmm

shinecrazydiamond · 06/03/2012 18:09

Hi tilly. thanks for your words of encouragement. come back soon!

baby - well ZH needs a level of motivation that I didnt think I had either. I have hated every fucking last moment.

emma - well done on that loss - 5lbs is great

breakfast - fucking yogurt berries and brown rice shite

lunch - goats cheese, sugar snap peas, red pepper, mange tout and quorn

tea - rocket, roasted mushroom and butternut squash, feta and orange pepper

dearprudence · 06/03/2012 20:00

Good loss emma.
I'm doing WW at the moment, but trying to stay well under points allowance by eating loads of veg. Cauliflower soup has been my friend this week. Weigh in tomorrow.

greenfig - go on, Jillian will be so proud of you for not phoning it in.

FuzzzyDuck · 07/03/2012 11:20

Morning all. How is everyone getting on? shiney u lost the will to live yet...?! Grin

Had another good day yesterday. Toast and honey, then ryvita with tuna, cheese and salad for lunch, cream egg for snack, then a wrap with chicken, peppers, salad and some nandos hot sauce!! Think the heat from that alone dropped me a few lbs!! Was within cals so I'm happy. Got on scales this morning for peek and I'm down to 14.8 so 2lbs since Monday. It was this day last wk I caved so determined to solider on.

I've had some cereal this morning so far. Getting hungry through so think it will be an early lunch. No clue what to have though. Running low on supply's. Maybe ryvita topped with tomato or a tin of tomato soup. Def having a quorn pesto fillet thing for sun with veg and a few boiled potatoes.

EmmaCate · 07/03/2012 11:50

Nice one Fuzzzy. I need to sit down and do some serious stats to ensure I meet this goal. I am just swimming along vaguely still having highly calorific evening meals with DH but trusting my Ryvita salad sandwich for lunch will keep me in check.

I need to go running I think. My belly is still horribly wobbly. Like a dead jellyfish.

shinecrazydiamond · 07/03/2012 14:58

breakfast - yogurt and that shite cereal

lunch - stir fried sugar snap peas, peppers, mushrooms, quorn fillets and feta cheese

I AM NEARING THE END OF MY WILLPOWER

greenfig · 07/03/2012 16:12

Yay another lb down this am (when standing on scales at right angleWink)was totally shredded last night & looking forward to 'gargling my heart' again this eve-NOT! Are you on target for your Mar 17 target shiney? hang in there.
Emma I need to chart chart & more chart my statsBlush & lots of mini targets as any possible % improvement that can be noted keeps me motivated!
Pru think I'll give cauli soup a go, sounds almost creamy!!
Fuzzy & baby well done on your losses, waves all round Grin

shinecrazydiamond · 07/03/2012 17:00

greenfig - well done on another lb! Keep going. Am I on target for march 17th? Depends if we think I can do another 5lbs by then.....

greenfig · 07/03/2012 17:11

What's another 5lbs in a whole 12 days? No worries!!

fitflopqueen · 07/03/2012 18:36

keep going, I wont make a stone down by 17th.
started 2 weeks ago and down 4lb. aiming to keep low carbing until easter - have lunch booked at Jamie Olivers for 7th april.
More impressive have not cracked with the booze yet

Child trying to tempt me off the low carb path by opening a bag of my fav crisps (salt & black pepper) then deciding he didnt like them. now resealed for DH to munch at w/end.

nenevomito · 07/03/2012 19:25

Well done everyone on losses SmileSmile you are displaying amazing will power and doing better than I am this week.

I've found it hard to get back on the wagon this week and ate two malteaser bunnies and a cheese wrap for lunch Blush that kind of pisses on the low cal no carb thing and then some.

Any ideas on how to get my motivation mojo back??

shinecrazydiamond · 07/03/2012 19:56

I adore malteser bunnies but two is a pathetic attempt. I can do 5.

Re how to get the motivation back.. I am a firm believer in a mental 'click' and until then, you wont be ready to do it and be really committed.

im so over this healthy eating

greenfig · 07/03/2012 21:02

DH just been defeated by biggest pizza ever & I didn't scoff leftovers.(smug) Had to distract myself with folding clothes & wiping surfaces!
baby got to move on-tomorrows another day. I find a chart really helped me so that I can see that even when I have a rise or plateau I'd still made an overall loss from beginning or week on week. My loss & motivation always worse at beginning of week, peak losses by w/e then damage done w alcohol & carbs before having to re focus! Getting into a smaller size/old jeans is a huge motivator, trying on stuff that used to feel uncomfortable in etc makes me realise I'm heading in right direction even if it's not as fast as I'd like.
All this talk of Jamie Oliver, salty crisps, malteser bunnies too much for me, am off to watch Masterchef & sip fennel teaSad No red wine & cheese...Good luck with tomorrows weigh in all.

greenfig · 08/03/2012 09:03

Morning! Drum roll....1st mini target passed yay!!! That was original low, now comes the hard part. Only 1lb to next mini target of below personal best but drops will def slow down now & have a w/e away to contend with. Am aching from shred but have more energy. Am def back in the zone, just got thirsty thurs to get pastWink

Junebugjr · 08/03/2012 09:57

Greenfig - that shred is a killer. I was quite fit before dd2 came around to spoil things, but remember my legs shaking so much after it I could barely walk up my stairs. Jillian must be hell of a scary trainer in real life.

Shiny - are you on phase 2? Or doing a 1.5 version of harcombe. I used to stuff myself with humous salad wraps, 'chips' etc on a carb meal. Probably explains why the last half a stone took weeks to come off!

Am on day 4 of zh today, thank god there's only a day to go, am getting thoroughly pissed off with salad. Im not doing any exercise atm, but am hoisting around a 30lb 9 monther at least a hundred times a day, so that must count for something!

nenevomito · 08/03/2012 12:20

Right, back on the wagon again. I had porridge for breakfast - not low carb, but still filling.

I am about to make myself some quorn sausages with spinach and eggs for lunch.

I can do this I can do this I can do this!

Greenfig - well done on reaching your mini target and junebugjr - well done for sticking to ZH.

LackaDAISYcal · 08/03/2012 13:53

A quick hello from me and well done on everyone's losses. I have lost a whopping whole 2lbs :o but have had the period from hell and our poor kitty got killed on the road on Sunday :( :( and only sugar has got me through it. I've downloaded the myfitnesspal app on my phone, and logging meals is helping me stay a big more motivated though.

Well done on the ZH shiney. I must dig out some willpower from under the bed. I know I some somewhere as I gave up smoking a few years ago.

Junebug, I'm 5'2" as well and would kill to be 9st 6 Wink. Though Ikwym, pre dc, that was my heavy weight and I was much happier around the 9st mark. Can't see me. ever getting down there again :(

greenfig · 08/03/2012 17:04

You CAN do it babyGrin
Def got wobbly legs going down stairs june almost gave way!! V impressed at your dedication witha baby, I was hopeless & got through to bedtime w the promise of wine, which inevitably led to toast, so good on yer!
Note to self-don't shred in a room w a mirror, maybe need to lose a stone not 1/2Blush!

greenfig · 08/03/2012 17:05

*daisy8 v sorry about your kittenSad

greenfig · 09/03/2012 11:07

Is there any body there????!
1/4 lb up this am even after re weighing in diff patches of floorGrin, not unexpected but still disappointed. Had hoped for a bit more of a buffer to go into the w/e with. Still will be pleased if mondays weigh in is down on last weeks, fingers xed. Really feeling the shred now, heart is def gargled!Grin

shinecrazydiamond · 09/03/2012 11:13
