Who is up for a stone off in a month?

MeremetaLoucoDiamant · 13/02/2012 22:49

Or maybe as close to that as we can get?

I am size 14, would love to drop a dress size for a specific date next month and I am possibly 20lbs ish overweight, so a stone would be a great starting point.

I am vegetarian but attempting to low carb.

So.... who's in?

Much happier this morning as have shifted the lb I put on and another one. This weekend is going to be tricky as away with a friend, but will keep going!

nenevomito · 01/03/2012 13:07

I have a quick update that I am sat here wearing a pair of jeans and a top I've not been able to fit into for a year, which has given me a real motivation boost.

Food so far today:

Breakfast: Cup of tea and two oatcakes = 73cal
Lunch: 2 Quorn sausage, one poached egg, salad and a blob of tom ketchup = 287 cals
Dinner for everyone else in the family is toad in the hole made with proper cumberland sausage from the local farm shop.

I'll have a sausage, skip the hole and have a load of veg with that. I know sausages are really bad and can resist normal supermarket ones, but the local farm ones are amazing.

LaVitaBellissima · 01/03/2012 16:32

Everyone is doing really well!
Babyheave Fab news on the jeans Smile
I'm feeling slimmer but don't think I'm much lighter. Day 4 of the Shred today though only 26 more to go Grin

shinecrazydiamond · 01/03/2012 20:45

evening all.

day 2 of ZH complete. Ugh!

Breakfast - Kallo rice puffs with natural yogurt

lunch - omelette with red pepper and asparagus

Dinner - tofu with green veg

I am dying here.

nenevomito · 01/03/2012 21:28

Thats not many calories at all - no wonder you're hungry.

nenevomito · 01/03/2012 21:35

Why am I watching Masterchef, why? WHY? I could kill for a Thai curry now.

shinecrazydiamond · 01/03/2012 21:36

i could kill for cheese on toast followed by cake

Friday morning weigh in and I'm...

14st 3lb giving me a 2lb weight loss for the week and bringing my total loss to 1st 5lb.

Whoop!

shinecrazydiamond · 02/03/2012 09:59

Well done! Not long now until the magic 13 stone something.... Keep it up this weekend. No wavering!

Well, I am another 2 pounds down giving me a loss of 5lbs in two days. Day 3 of hell on the ZH diet. Christ, it's tough but bloody hell - it really works!

FuzzzyDuck · 02/03/2012 10:24

Morning all. Had bad day yesterday but I'm back today ready to go!! Didn't go overboard but def not healthy Blush. So far I've just had some toast and honey. Planning some tuna pasta and salad for lunch, not sure about dinner yet. I'm crap at putting meals together sometime!!

Well done on the losses so far!! Heres to a good weekend!! Grin

shinecrazydiamond · 02/03/2012 10:26

Hi fuzzy... I too am crap at putting meals together. It's a pain sometimes.

ferfuxake · 02/03/2012 10:53

Wow babyheave -1st 5lb is amazing.

I am another pound down, bringing me to 8lb lost so far, which I am pretty bloody happy with. However, I may have slightly blown it with the lovely croissant I just consumed with my coffee for a Friday morning treat.

Once again I'm out with friends tonight and am worried about my infamous lack of self control in a food and booze situation. Am wondering if I should drive so I can't drink and that might help me eat less too. Doesn't sound like nearly so much fun though! I think it's a carb-heavy Italian too.

Hope you all have a good weekend and that we all find/maintain some self control...

ferfuxake · 02/03/2012 10:55

Just realised I missed your update shinecrazydiamond - you really are on a roll with Zoe - fantastic!

shinecrazydiamond · 02/03/2012 11:24

Call me shiney ferfux Smile

Yes, it definitely works. In a hardcore kinda way Hmm

8lbs is bloody good going too!

nenevomito · 02/03/2012 12:17

5lb in two days Shock that's brilliant going! I will look into doing that next week as i know I will have a blow out this weekend. Luckily I also know that my social life will return to 0 after this weekend so it will be easier.

nenevomito · 02/03/2012 12:18

Well done fuzzy and ferfux - nights out are a killer but salad is your friend Grin

shinecrazydiamond · 02/03/2012 12:19

come and join me baby heave. the results are amazing.

although i still would like some cake

LackaDAISYcal · 02/03/2012 14:37

I've just done my first shred

I thought 20 mins, how tough can it be? I've just found out...very tough!
And I'm supposed to do it every day?
Unfortunately my lupus means I'll probably only manage it a couple of times a week, maybe three, but better than nothing I suppose.

Yesterday wasn't too bad, and today, so far so good.
Gluten free Special K and banana for breakfast.
Salad with coleslaw, roasted veg and ham, with a couple of little salad potatoes for lunch.
Dinner will be korma spiced roast chicken thighs (no skin), green veg & lemon pilau rice. I usually eat with my DC at 5ish, but then find I am starving by 9 and that's the danger time, especially after a glass or two of wine so tonight I'm waiting till they ate in bed. Mind you there will be the added temptation of their leftovers Blush. Best cook something laden with gluten, lol.

Harcombe sounds like it's going well shiney! I don't have the willpower for the first five days!

Well done on nearly 1.5 stone babyheave, that's great :o

Ferfux, you can do Italian avoiding the carbs...tomato and mozzarella to start, a steak or veal, or fish and salad for main, and then I run out of ideas for desert...a cheeseboard without the crackers?

Shiney, I came across a poster with what could have been a variation on your name. I thought you'd changed again, but the posting style was different...

ferfuxake · 03/03/2012 09:31

Managed to steer clear of pasta (though not wine admittedly) and had delicious tuna and salad. Am close to 9lbs total weight loss now, down to my pre-kids weight. Yay!

Was still fat then though. Need to lose at least another stone.

How are you all doing?

shinecrazydiamond · 03/03/2012 09:54

Morning all,

Yes, someone told me there was someone with a similar name to me. I think she mentioned it to her - after all, she possibly didn't realise and won't be wanting to be tarred with the same brush as me Grin

Sounds like a good healthy days eating Daisy. I am losing the will to live here, have to say. On day 4 so might as well plod on until tomorrow. I have lost about 6lbs ish. But bloody hell- it is dull and boring. I may consider going make up shopping today to cheer myself up and take my mind off another fucking omelette. I keep trying to focus on why I am doing this. I am 7lbs away from a MAJOR goal. Can I do it by March 17th? 7 more little lbs..... TELL ME I CAN

9lbs is bloody amazing ferfux.

dinkystinkyexpectations · 03/03/2012 10:14

Told you Zoe was bloody restrictive Shiney - but just think about the results you're achieving and YOU CAN DO IT!

Darent weigh till Tuesday, my usual WI day. The meds I'm on are making me rather bunged up inside which is fun Hmm

Well done on amazing losses so far. Lacks - if you're stiff post shred, pop a couple of ibuprofen and have a warm bath - will ease you right up.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/03/2012 10:17

Ah well shiney, I suppose thete must before than one Floyd fan on MN!
Still no change in my weight, but it's been a week of illness and misery so maintaining is a pretty good thing.
Trying to muster the energy to do another shred, but I walk a fine line between bone crushing fatigue (lupus) and doing enough to keep my energy levels up (fibromyalgia) and I don't always know what side of that line I'm on. I usually err on the side of caution and sit on my fat arse though :o

cereal for brekkie, bacon, egg, mushrooms & tomato for lunch and not sure about dinner yet.

FuzzzyDuck · 03/03/2012 10:19

My motivation has went out the window. I have a few good days, one bad and that it. I've resigned myself to not loosing the weight by wedding. Don't know why I feel so unable to do this. I try and be good, but then I just crave all the 'nice' food that I love!! Saturday is usually takeaway night, but might try make my own curry with quorn and veg. I need to get back to the gym. Said it this week and never bothered my backside. Ahh!!

Congrats to those doing so well, keep it up GrinGrinGrinGrin

dinkystinkyexpectations · 03/03/2012 10:23

Look Fuzzzy any loss you can have is a good loss - so dont through it all out the window. Its a case of drawing a line under the bad day and gett ing back in the zone.

And to get yourself in the gym, tell yourself that you can have some of the nice food you love - just a small portion of it or small glass of wine to treat yourself - if you do exercise first.
