THank you sweetie.
As it's his first appointment and he is very underweight dm thinks they will keep him for tests?
So should I pack an overnight bag?
It is an hour away

putyourhatonsweetie · 15/02/2012 22:10

no idea...sorry. perhaps start a thread on childrens health? hope you are okay x

fazsaeed · 15/02/2012 22:30

I've packed a bag anyway can't do any harm sat in the boot. If it's not needed I just have to put the stuff away.
I can feel my weight creeping up again but it just feels like it's beyond my control atm.
With ds being like this I defo need a pick me up. I know I eat crap when he's ill but it really is a comfort. Just wish ds would have some too. Help him get his appetite back. Today is day 5 day and still very little food.
I just want him to enjoy his food and realise nor everything hurts.

I think when I make something for ds or open something for him to eat if he doesn't eat it within the 45 mins ( as in not even a bite) then it's down my gob.
Putting this all done now in realising ( duno how long this thought will last!) that ive just been a complete and utter failure. I need to get ds sorted before I can start worrying about preparing a salad and fruit.

Does that make sense?
X

putyourhatonsweetie · 15/02/2012 23:16

It makes sense but fwiw you are not a complete and utter failure. food is bound to be difficult in your circumstances. not sure what to say reaally except that you should stick with us for support. (hugs)

fazsaeed · 15/02/2012 23:32

That's what I plan to do.
I'm not going away that easy lol
Thanks
In a way I want them to keep him in so they can realise how bad he's got. But don't want to take the comfort of home away.

Fairenuff · 15/02/2012 23:37

Fazsaeed I agree with hat stick with us and we will help you get where you want to be eventually. Remember, this is not a 'quick fix'. We are all trying to change some of our habits for better ones and that is not going to happen overnight.

You have made a fabulous start. You are thinking about what is a good choice and what is not. You don't always stick to your plan but, hey, life gets in the way sometimes. We are all like that.

Right now you need to concentrate on your little boy and that's fine. It doesn't mean you just eat a load of rubbish all the time, it just means that you need to be kind to yourself and not feel so bad about eating. Otherwise it's a downward circle. You eat, you feel bad, so you eat to feel better, but then you feel bad about it and so on.

If you want to move away from emotional eating, then forgive yourself. Allow yourself to be imperfect and accept that that's ok. Each and every new day is a new start and a new opportunity.

Hope some of that makes sense to you Smile x

SparkySparrow · 15/02/2012 23:52

Bloody hell Fairenuff ! Good speech :)

Really hope your ok Faz and yes stick with us and we will help you. And hopefully the doctors will be able to help your ds. Hes in the best place! ((hugs))

Hope everyone ok

SparkySparrow · 16/02/2012 12:17

I am back on track with a vengeance!!

B- Fruit salad
L-Soup and a few Ryvita (no butter)
D- Will be, Jacket pots with tuna and salad
And I'm back to drinking bucket loads of water and running to the loo every 5mins .

I woke up in a strangely positive mood today. I had some horrendous dreams last night so its very odd.

Taking ds for a nature walk this afternoon to make the most of the sunshine. Hope everyone is having a good day! :)

Well I've had a terrible wk diet wise, valentines meal was lovely but very unhealthy and I keep binging ever since. weigh in tonight tho and body combat class (scared).

fazsaeed · 16/02/2012 20:36

X

putyourhatonsweetie · 17/02/2012 00:16

morning all, hope youa re okay faz, thanks for the update, have been thinking of you and ds.

need more details than the fattenning meal flojo!

My food has been okay this week, but I hurt my foot so have done no exercise so not anticipating any loss. Not sure whether its just the lack of exercise, and dh being away but I feel really flat. anyone got any motivation up their sleeves they could share?

Flojo1979 · 17/02/2012 15:16

Afraid there's not much to tell valentines wise, lovely romantic meal, all dreamy n sweet, invited him in for coffee and he said he tired and dropped me off! Hmm
U won't believe what i did last night Blush
My Dd has a cotbed with sides off, I was reading her bedtime story, sat on it and it broke! Complete snapped in 2, straight down the middle! Poor Dd had to sleep on her mattress on the floor.

SparkySparrow · 17/02/2012 16:26

Oh no Flojo ! I'm so sorry but I'm laughing Grin Grin.

To be fair though, those beds are made to take toddlers not adults!
Those things are really flimsy anyway.

I bet your dd loved it on the floor, my ds loved it when he had his mattress on the floor when we were moving. Actually wonder why I bought him a bed Hmm

Flojo1979 · 17/02/2012 17:06

Thanx sparky, still need to buy a replacement so mattress again tonight, not great in winter have to leave the heating on all night again so its not too chilly down there!

mrspepperpotty · 18/02/2012 08:13

Flojo my DS2 sleeps on a mattress on the floor every night at the moment, he started climbing out of his cot a few weeks ago and we haven't got round to buying him a bed yet! Blush

Any news Faz? Thinking of you and your little boy.

Putyourhaton, it's probably a bit late now but I hope you found some motivation! It's tough with your DH away - when does he get back? Can you think of a non-food-related treat for you this weekend?

Well I just got on the scales and it was the same as my last weigh in 10 days ago (ie I must have put on a couple of lb last weekend and taken it off again during this week) so I am drawing a line under the last week or so and making a fresh start!

Vicky08 · 18/02/2012 09:50

Hi everyone,

Faz I'm sorry to hear that your DS is ill, I hope they get him sorted soon.

I've not had the greatest week, both DC have the flu and now I've also got it, feel like death, at least my appetite's gone :) So stressed.

Fairenuff · 18/02/2012 11:44

Oh dear, sorry for all the poorly people. Hope you recover soon x

How are we all doing with motivation and keeping focussed on the diets? We had three clear months before Easter (Jan, Feb, Mar) and now we are halfway through February, so we are halfway there. How much did you aim to lose in that time and how much have you lost. Are you still on track.

I was going for 30lb in 90 days. I won't weigh in until Monday but I think I will have lost just under 15lb so I am nearly halfway there.

I think we need some more inspiration and motivation on this thread to keep us going. That's where diets are so difficult because we start with lots of enthusiasm and then life gets in the way and we start to struggle a little.

I was talking to a lady who lost 4 stone last year just by walking, walking, walking. Now the days are getting warmer, evenings are lighter, shall we get out there a bit more.

Remember that song by Sting - every step you take, every move you make, you'll be losing weight - ok, so I've adapted it a bit Grin.

fazsaeed · 18/02/2012 12:03

Thank you everyone for asking.
Well done to those who have lost weight and to those who haven't well done for trying.

Ds is at home atm. He is due in on Monday as long as we shift this stupid cold.
Still hardly eating. 9-12 months clothes are too big for him and he's 17 months.

The ball is now rolling so atleast we are trying to help him.
X

SparkySparrow · 18/02/2012 17:22

every step you take, every move you make, you'll be losing weight - Love this! Been singing it all day. Had a few Hmm looks from dh! Grin

Fairenuff 15lb's is fab! Keep it up and you will be there in no time!

Get well soon to everyone that's poorly or has poorly dc's!

My goal was to get to 11 st by my birthday, which is the end of April. Still haven't got below 12 yet so I need to step it up a bit. My own fault, I'm really good for a while and then spoil it by having a few bad days, and I can't quite give up the bread for longer than a week!
Quite a lot of my weigh in's have been maintaining due to the bread. But when I do have a loss I feel on top of the world. Need to bottle that feeling, i'd be a millionaire! Grin

Not had a great week this week regarding exercise. Ds being home throws out all my routine. :(

I have a major issue with stress and eating. I think quite a few people do. So still working on that!

Setting a mini goal - I am currently 12st 5lbs. I am going to give myself 3 weeks Monday to get to 12st (12th March) That's just under 2lb a week.

How's everyone else doing?

OP posts:
putyourhatonsweetie · 18/02/2012 21:47

Only 0.3kg gone this week, but I expected that with being unable to exercise, but my foot is healing now so should be okay to get a bit more active this week.

thinking of you and ds faz

thanks mrspepperpotty, he is back now, he is away for at least a week every month which doesn't sound like much but I really feel it as am quite isolated here. ho hum.

fairenuff I have lost more (7.4kg) than I anticipated and weigh less than I have done in years which is pretty cool. My next mini goal is to get to my healthy weight range which is really not far away (less than 2kg) Grin. In terms of my dream target (50.8kg/ 8 stone) I am a third of the way there, but of course that was the easy third!

Well done all and good luck for the Monday weigh ins.

SparkySparrow · 18/02/2012 22:02

mrspp Have I missed something? What did you do to your foot?

OP posts:
Flojo1979 · 19/02/2012 00:05

That was putyourhaton who hurt foot
I'm having a terrible wkend diet wise as well now, bought too much junk at Tesco on friday, why why why! And now I have to eat it all quick to get rid of it and start again.
I didn't lose anything this week but maintained, least I didn't put on.
Body combat was a killer and way to many star jump type exercises for my pelvic floor Blush
