I lost 2lb this week so back down to my pre holiday weight. Thanks for your support last week - I couldn't have done it without you! Smile

fazsaeed · 27/03/2012 16:28

I had a good morning.
Lol does that count?

I've just painted my nails and it looks like I've murdered someone lol.
I'm fine doing toe nails but hand nails are more fidgety!!!

SparkyMcSparrow · 27/03/2012 16:45

hi all, just letting you know I'm, still here.

Bad week last week for me, ds was ill. So I picked on bad food :(
This week I'm ill and so is dh and ds still isn't right. And I can't eat :(

So will be back when we all better. Hopefully not to long!

keep up the good work!

Fairenuff · 28/03/2012 09:01

Well done mrspp that's fab Smile. Less than two weeks to Easter now, hasn't it come round quick. It seems like a long time to 'deprive' yourself but that's nearly a quarter of a year done already! I have never stuck properly to a diet for this long before. In January I set out to do 90 days and they're almost up!!

So this is my plan. After Easter I will get back on the diet for four weeks because I have a wedding to go to in May. Then I will do another three weeks dieting before my holiday in June. I don't know if this thread will continue, but I will continue my diet until I get to my (eventual) goal.

I'd still like to lose another stone or so yet This is definately long term for me because there is no way I'm putting anything back on after going to all this trouble to lose it Grin.

Sorry to hear you're poorly again Sparky. You obviously keep your house too clean and shiny for your family to build up immunity to germs Wink? Hope you're all better soon x

Faz How's the healthy breakfast going, is that still working out for you. Do you have a long term diet plan or are you not up to it at the moment?

mrspepperpotty · 29/03/2012 16:23

Sounds like a good plan, fairenuff.

I'm going to carry on too. My original aim was to lose 2 stone by the end of June (going to a friend's wedding). I was on track for that until 3 weeks ago and I still think it's feasible. Am definitely keeping going until then, anyway. Agree this thread is fading away a bit, but it doesn't really matter as long as there are a few of us still posting!

putyourhatonsweetie · 29/03/2012 20:43

[waves] Still here! sounds like there are a few of us still around. sorry have been a bit crap, I had two maintenanace weeks in a row so some of my motivations wained. but looking like heading for a loss this week which should keep my spirits up. Despite what my erratic posting would suggest I am extremely grateful to folk being in for the long haul. this is the longest I have ever stuck to a diet healthy weight loss regime and it really shows.

am now within the healthy weight range for my height Grin but should have a small frame so have a little way to go yet until am totally satisfied.

thinking of you faz.

mrspp well done for getting back on the wagon

fairenuff great plan.

fazsaeed · 29/03/2012 23:41

THats good that you motivated again.
ATM I'm fighting a losing battle lol
I'm eating really goof in the morning then stress hits in the evening then in snacking really badly.
I'm very stressed atm.
I'm scared for ds- am I making right choice?
If my hubby doesn't get his visa this time round I can't do nothing as I will not work with a sick child and I have bad health too. Feel another infection brewing up :( after next month to bring someone over as a spouse you've got to earn over 25,000!
Wtf.
What about people like me?
:(

Fairenuff · 30/03/2012 08:33

Faz are you sure that's right, it sounds like a lot of money when you are, in effect, a single parent. Is he able to send money to you? I'm really surprised that it's so difficult for your dh to migrate. What about a short term visa? Even if he couldn't work here he could look after your ds so that you could work.

Apart from anything, losing weight will be better for your health and will also give you a good old confidence boost. I know it's stressful, but you need to look after yourself as well so that you can look after your ds. Summer is coming, try nibbling on salad if you need to nibble. I chop up everything I like, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, celery, peppers, mix them in a bowl, add a few cubes of low fat feta cheese (usually called salad cheese) and a sprinkle of sunflower seeds or chopped walnuts. Just a splash of low fat salad dressing and voila, a really tasty, crunchy, healthy snack. Better than crisps any day Smile.

putyourhatonsweetie · 30/03/2012 10:00

empathy on the visa front, xxxx

mrspepperpotty · 30/03/2012 12:43

Faz I did hear something like that about changes to the visa requirements but I didn't realise it was definite Sad

Putyourhaton well done for reaching healthy weight range, do you mean a BMI of 25? That's excellent, you must be really pleased. It's not surprising your weight loss has slowed down now you are within that range, but stick with us and you might lose a few more pounds!

fazsaeed · 30/03/2012 12:55

Yep it's right.
I just hope that he gets it. I really need the help with ds.
I really hope he gets it.
:( comes into effect middle of next month I think
:(

fazsaeed · 30/03/2012 23:43

Hellooooo
[ I have chocolate]

No response hmmm :(

putyourhatonsweetie · 31/03/2012 10:47

thanks mrspp - yep last checked it was 24.something, very very exciting but I DO need to shift a wee bit more. I don't think the weight loss has slowed because am in a healthy range I think it has slowed because I have started to cheat just now and then and I can only fit in a fraction of the exercfise I was doing, but overall am pretty happy with it.

hope you get somewhere with the visa faz, I know how hard it is.

fazsaeed · 31/03/2012 20:35

That's good your happy.
Im accepting my body for what it is until ds is sorted.
I will try to fit healthier options in bur if it doesnt work our tough. My main focus is getting him better.

Don't let the thread die everyone!
X

Fairenuff · 02/04/2012 10:45

Morning Smile

Lost 1.5lb at wi today. Six days til Easter, then I'm having a break. Really don't want to eat much chocolate though. Those old habits are starting to change. What I am looking forward to is a lovely lunch with wine and maybe some cheese. I've not had a single easter biscuit or hot cross bun but I really don't miss it.

I was aiming to lose 30lb by now and that's not going to happen, but I have lost 23lb and will keep going after Easter. Tried some old clothes on yesterday that I haven't been able to get into for a long time and they all fit! So I have a whole new summer wardrobe already. Going to get my hair cut today and will put a dye on later this week. Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine and not giving in to temptation x

bugsylugs · 02/04/2012 19:42

Been gone a long time.
Faz is anyone able to sponser him or is that not allowed anymore. My parents did for my SIL as bro was a student. They did not upfront money 'just' had to prove they had enough to support him. Also sorry to hear about feeding tube usually it is a liquid feed made up of correct balance of nutrients often ready made in a container some hospitals make them is it a PEG or NG? You are doing what is right for ds and under advice of Drs. Thinking if you

bugsylugs · 02/04/2012 19:43

Congratulations to all was doing well then cough so no ex and a week of and poof all gone wrong gym today though

SparkyMcSparrow · 02/04/2012 22:09

I'm back :) kind of

I have had flu and a kidney infection. Been really bad, only just starting to feel better due to finally getting rehydrated.

On the plus side I have lost 6lbs this week, due to not being able to eat. I'm going to try and keep 4lbs of that off, but realistically I know that eating normally again, I'm going to put some back on. Just glad to be better! Never felt so bad.

Fairenuff Your doing so well! Well done! :)

bugsylugs · 02/04/2012 23:12

Sparky sorry you have been so poorly go very slow. People start to push themselves a bit much when they feel better and go backwards

mrspepperpotty · 03/04/2012 16:58

Poor you sparky, glad you feel better now.

Happy Easter everyone!

fazsaeed · 03/04/2012 23:29

He's getting peg Bugsy.
If someone else sponsors he can't be here for longer than 6 months.
Hopefully he will get the visa
X
Well done to everyone whose lost weight

bugsylugs · 04/04/2012 21:55

Faz that is a shame re sponser that has changed fingers crossed re visa. I assume he is ds dad you would think it was in child's best interst and all that. We will be all hoping for good news. PEG generally ready made up liquid hopefully it will give him the calories stop the pain and then maybe he can enjoy food. Hope you are somewhere good.

Back on it went to body pump this evening have a warm fuzzy feeling looking forward to a bit of a naughty (wine) but have the shred to hand
Keep up the good work

fazsaeed · 04/04/2012 23:27

Yep he's ds dad.
Ur allowed a treat now and then
