Sorry chaps, my thinking cap is busted. Best title I could manage tonight!

Loads of comfy chairs in here, bowls of fruit, and lots of superfree veggies to snack on Wink

So, settle in, have a natter, and let's show the lard who's boss!

Ooo sorry CSWS - you are right, I would of course only be having 2 slices of hobbity toast for lunch, which is 1 HEB - but I probably will have 2 servings of cheezes at once, for I am an incorrigible dairy monster.

not sure about adding into MFP. I probably will do just for interest's sake...

Cheeseandbiscuits · 08/02/2012 22:24

Oh no, when I cut and paste I missed off hedgepigs funfare!

Woop woop woop to hedge a mere 10stone something! GrinGrinGrinGrin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 08/02/2012 22:26

Yep that was her. I only worked with her for a month before she went to do the show. She was lovely, so genuine. She did v well! Sad to the couple splitting up, that's awful. was he a feeder?

TheScarlettPimpernel · 08/02/2012 22:29

God Cheese it was even sadder than that Sad

It was the bloke losing weight. He was about 27 stone. They were very loving, very sweet, very close. Had failed to conceive for years, and had some failed IVF. She was overweight too but not in the super morbidly obese category. At the beginning they were just so adorable and he said if he could just have a baby with her his life would be complete and they would be the happiest couple in the world. Then he started to get very depressed and the trainer kept saying, what's going on, and he wouldn't say what. Turned out he'd left her Shock Just didn't love her any more and couldn't stay. The whole losing weight thing gave him a huge identity crisis. It was AWFUL. She was just shell-shocked.

DH was so upset!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 08/02/2012 22:33

Oh god, blimey. That's bloody weird. How devastating, poor girl!
How was the choc cake?

I want to be 10st something and wear a crown

TheScarlettPimpernel · 08/02/2012 22:34

Choc cake lovely - pal is wheat free, so was all full of almonds. I do however feel really quite sick and am looking forward to tomorrow also removing digit from rectum Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 08/02/2012 22:35

Oh and tomorrow's food:
B: scrambled egg on hobbit toast (heb)
L: left over Singapore vermicelli
D: chicken stuffed with philli, ham and mushrooms, roast veg.
Can philli be used as HEA?

Cheeseandbiscuits · 08/02/2012 22:35

I stick fingers up bums all the time

grinningbee · 08/02/2012 22:42

2 x 35g tubs Philadelphia Light is 1 HEA choice. Just looked it up. So 70g then Smile

Oooh brilliant, thanks bee

Great losses everyone, a good week all round I think.

I am freezing tonight. I'm sitting here wrapped up in a fleece blanket at the moment. The heating is on full but its still very cold. DH isn't well, he has been asleep on the settee most of the night. I don't know how he didn't wake himself up with the snoring.

I am truely amazed that I lost anything. Usually I'd be gutted at just losing 1lb, but I really was convinced I would have a gain so I can live with the small loss. Its also star week so I reckon I did well not to gain.

I did have a slice of cake earlier, a treat for DoD. I also made a chicken curry which I assume is syn free but not 100% sure.

I'm slowly getting my head around SW (about time) and I am getting a bit better at planning meals. There is still plenty of room for improvement but I'm improving all the time.

My kitchen looks like a kitchen again, just as long as I don't look at the floor. We're off out on Saturday to look for a replacement, then its going to be a long week of decorating which is not a task I enjoy.

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/02/2012 22:58

I have eaten lots of cake. The kids didn't all finish their slices of birthday cake, so I polished some off. And I found 2 slices of flake celebration cake in the box that we brought back from the party at the weekend, which I hadn't realised were there, and ended up eating both Blush.

Kid - if you tell us what was in your curry we can tell you if it was syn free or not.

Well done everyone - great results again.

kid · 08/02/2012 23:12

okay, in my curry was:
onion, garlic, ground ginger, garam masala, chicken stock and chicken.
I then added some flour to thicken it (approx 2 tbsp)
The curry did 5 portions, DH had equivelant to 2 of the portions Grin

CantSleepWontSleep · 08/02/2012 23:20

2 tbsp flour = 7 syns, so that's fine between you :).
Tomato puree is free and acts as a thickener if you ever want an alternative.

SlinkyB · 08/02/2012 23:26

Well done everyone! . Esp Hedge for getting into the 10st-somethings Envy. I did a SIOB (which I once thought stood for Saw It On Facebook - whoops) as would love to be back down there with you.

I stayed the same - no idea how I'm maintaining right now, must be all the nervous energy from mentally organising a house move and a wedding. Might just book the register office this week, if I like it (although I'm not fussy). Photographer (friend) organised too. So excited!

Well done for topping The List TSP - knew you could do it. Best of luck for your SW-style week ahead, I remember re-joining (here) last summer and writing out my shopping list, IIRC:

Muller Lights/Activia Fat Free (although I use any f/f yogs now)
Pepsi Max (addicted to fizzy pop)
Laughing Cow Extra Light triangles (ain't done bee no harm eh?)
Passata/pasta/tinned tomatoes
Alpen Light bars

It does all get very boring, but it works, for me anyway. And you need to look at the recipe thread to keep you interested/motivated.

bee well done on losing 2lbs too Flower! Great stuff, you're chasing my tail and that 10st-something goal with awesome pace, keep up the good work.

Thanks for doing The List this week cheese with everything else you've got going on, and fab you lost this week.

Congrats everyone else on your fab losses or maintaining.

It's kinda hard to be a target member and post without sounding smug or partronising?! Especially when it's in your nature to be both anyway, ha ha! Wink.

SlinkyB · 08/02/2012 23:34

OMG, I'm so slow at posting that in the time I took to reply, there were approx 10 other responses Blush. Am rubbish. But have the next two days off work so I can devote my time to my baby MN. DS has his MMR tomorrow, followed by the 12-month HV check...hoping he sleeps all afternoon Grin. We then have his parent's evening at 7pm (he is 12 months old ffs!).

I have an eye infection which is not being helped by staring at the internet. Whoops.

Time for bed, night folks.

P.S I now fancy chicken curry and cake - thanks kid and CSWS.

kid · 08/02/2012 23:51

I've got the morning off work as DS has his hospital appt for his migraines.
Lets hope they can offer some answers or decent advice other then he might grow out of it.

I've warmed up enough now to abandon the fleece blanket and head off to bed. Trouble is, I can hear DH snoring from here even though he is upstairs. I wonder how cold I'd be on the settee for the night?

TheScarlettPimpernel · 09/02/2012 08:55

Morning fat fighters! Grin

Kid hope your DS's appt goes well.

CSWS that's you AND me with cake guilt this morning Blush. I'm amazed by how shit I feel actually. Yesterday I was so cold, and so unplanned, that I had the worst day of eating since January 1st - I had a danish for breakfast, a baguette and flapjack for lunch, and coconutty curry and chocolate cake for dinner Shock - and I swear, I feel HIDEOUS this morning. I have a pounding headache and feel all queasy. I think after 5-6 weeks of being so frugal my poor insides just can't cope with it!

Anyway my food for today bit different from what I said yesterday because I don't especially want 2 curries in a row Hmm. I had to have a full fat Activia for breakfast, because we have about 10 in the house, but I'll do some grocery shopping this morning. I had no idea Alpen Lights were HEBs by the way! EPIC Grin

So for a GREEN day

B - fruit salad and yogurt
L - beans and cheese on toast (1 HEB, 1 HEA)
D - roast veg with cous cous, tomato and feta salad, and tahini sauce (1 HEB, 1 HEA), fruit salad for after

FriendofDorothy · 09/02/2012 09:43

Well I was feeling a little bit pissed off that my weight loss over a year is so slow so I decided to measure myself. Since January last year I have lost 5" off my waist and 4" off my hips. That seems like better progress!

grinningbee · 09/02/2012 10:26

Morning all Smile

Kid Hope the appointment goes well today.

FOD That's great! Taking measurements is very worthwhile as you can really see how you've done.

TSP Never mind. One day off track is all it was. Back on the straight and narrow, and it'll be more off next week Grin.

Well, I had my appointment this morning. Got weighed, height measured, blood pressure taken etc etc. And then to the Lump. I'm going to start a book called "Things Doctors Shouldn't Say". On laying down on the bed thingy, he takes one look and says "Oh my God I can see it!".

He reckons it's the size of a small football, and weighs about 1kg (although how he knows I'm not sure). I'm having a blood test on Monday (nurse is off this week) and being referred for an urgent ultrasound. And I'm scared. It probably didn't help that while filling in the referral form he googled ovarian tumours. He also mentioned surgery.

I also got asked how I was losing so much weight. When I told him I was following SW at home, he wanted to know why it was working for me when there are thousands of women doing it and not losing. I told him it's 'cos I'm actually following the diet Grin.

So, there we are. I'm glad I went, but shit I'm scared now.

And so on to food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Mushroom omelette, fruit and a yogurt
Left over sweet chilli chicken (1/2 syn) with tomatoes and carrot and swede mash
1/2 bottle red wine (13 syns)

I would add a Kit Kat too, but it'll take me waaaaaay over.

Forgot to add, when I bent down to kiss dd before I left, she headbutted me as I kissed her. I now have a very stingy, very swollen split lip. What a fab day.

Hedgepig · 09/02/2012 10:39

Bee I'm sure it will be fine (says she contorted into a weird yoga position as I cross every thing - legs arms, finger, toes, ears Grin). I think these fibroids can get get pretty huge. At least hes taking it seriously and you should get an answer quickly , although Googling things while you are sitting there doesn't fill you with confidence . Chin up old bean enjoy the wine ((hugs))

TheScarlettPimpernel · 09/02/2012 10:41

Oh Bee. bugger bugger bah bah shit sticks. Is it OK that I did a wry dark grin at the silly doctor Googling in your presence?!

How awfully worrying, I won't try and pretend otherwise. There is one thing I would say though. I had a weird bleeding growthy thing on the back of my hand that had been there for years. I finally went to the GP. when he saw it he practically turned pale and said "How long has that been there?!?!". I said about 20 years. He relaxed and said "Oh right, can't be anything sinister then or it would have got you by now." Hmm Grin

I guess what I mean is, if it were something sinister, and that size, would you not be terribly ill and weak?

Urgh, I am stopping talking now because I will just do that thing where I start gabbling. Just sending a huge un-MNetty hug. Hope you can put it from your mind a little until there is more info. Have some of these: XXx

grinningbee · 09/02/2012 10:55

Thanks ladies, and yes, it's ok to grin at his nitwittedness.

I'd also like to think if it was nasty, that something that size would be making me feel very ill. On the bonus side, if it is that big and does have to come out, my midriff can only get smaller Grin

COLD SOSSINGE!!! One of my favourite things. Especially with Branston pickle

I have just done menu plans for the next 4 days prior to doing a shop. I feel all ooooogly about doing SW again. Isn't that DAFT?!?! I mean - It bloody worked! I was the slimmest I'd ever been: I was a BABE! I need a slap upside the head Hmm
