Thanks Smalline - and well done on your loss! :)

bebejones · 13/02/2012 09:14

sts again

GettinTrimmer · 16/02/2012 09:25

Well done on sts Bebe.

I thought I'd better post as we'd dropped off the page.

How are you all??

GettinTrimmer · 17/02/2012 13:12

I wi today. Anybody else?

I have lost 0.5lb which during half term for me isn't bad!! Just have to lose another 2.5lb to get rid of the gain then start going downwards again.

prettybird · 17/02/2012 19:19

3lb on for me Sad Combination of not being able to do the Shred in the early part of the week 'cos ds was off ( extra long weekend) and then having a really grotty cold. Sad

Having a really nice meal on Valentine's Day probably didn't help either Blush

GettinTrimmer · 18/02/2012 16:02

Sorry about gain Pretty. I've had 2 grotty colds in a week it really throws you out.

Anybody else still wi?

Smalline · 19/02/2012 11:54

I forgot to weigh myself this week, have had a lovely relaxing week off with the kids, healthy eating went out of the window a bit but hey ho it's another week next week, will try and get back to it.

Losing weight during school holidays is excellent Trimmer so well done to you, sorry about you gain Pretty if only it was as easy to lose weight as it is to gain especially at our ageSmile, anyway hope you feel better soon. Well done on sts Bebe

RatherBeOnThePiste · 20/02/2012 20:34

Rolls in off the piste - fab holiday! Skiing is not good for low carbing or weight loss, but is good for the soul!

Teensy bit jet lagged Colorado is 7 hours behind so is significant. Twas a long way to go for a week, but I'd do it again Grin

I shall be weighing in on Friday with you guys.

STS...again! Was really good too! :(

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/02/2012 15:23

Pancakes!

OP posts:
Smalline · 21/02/2012 16:40

Aah Bebe I feel so disappointed for you, I would love to be your weight thoughEnvy

GettinTrimmer · 21/02/2012 19:30

Even though you're disappointed Bebe, well done on sts. Tis so easy to gain.

Yes Piste pancakes, I've just had one with lemon and sugar. Glad you had a good hol.

The good news for me is....I've been to the gym, so starting to exercise regularly again, they key to weight loss for me. As I have crap willpower.

bebejones · 21/02/2012 20:07

STS is better than a gain, but had been so good & really active all week. (Had to keep busy to stop the half term munchies!)

Not helping myself this week. Gorged myself on pancakes, but we didn't have a proper main course & I only had some low cal pretzels for lunch coz I've been running around like a mad woman all day!

Last physio appointment for 6 weeks today! Hoorah!! Have to keep up with my exercises though & improve & then she's going to refer me to do pilates. (Not sure how that works! Confused)

Piste - Glad you had a fabby holiday. Very Envy pics on fb look beautiful!

Trimmer - well done on your loss! Fabby dabby do! :)

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/02/2012 20:35

Pilates will make you stronger Bebe - I was recommended going after I hurt my back to strengthen my core muscles and improve my posture. At the mo I don't know how I'd fit a class in though.

Lots of skiing and I am so much fitter than when I last went, I went all day long Grin - 6 or 7 hours with a minimal break. Twas marvellous!

OP posts:
bebejones · 21/02/2012 20:56

I meant I'm not sure how the referral works!! :o Not sure I can afford to pay for a class right now! :(

Did you not ache loads after all that skiing? Ouchy!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 21/02/2012 21:05

Classes are bloody expensive here certainly.

Genuinely no aching, but physically tired each night. Certainly the weight loss, the cycling to work and the half hearted running has helped my stamina enormously. I am quite fit. In more ways than one Grin

OP posts:
prettybird · 22/02/2012 12:29

I'd second the recommendation about Pilates. I've been going for over 11 years now and it has really strengthened my back and my core muscles. TMI alert - in fact, given the damage that ds did to my pelvic floor (the muscles on one side scored about zero when I saw the Gynae physio), Pilates has managed to strengthen the rest of my pelvic floor muscles to the extend that I don't usually get any of the "usual" Blush problems you expect with a damaged pelvic floor. I also no longer get shapr pains between my should blades when cycling or spending too long hunched over a computer. It has generally helped me become more aware of my body and my posture.

But I do have a fantastic instructor Grin

Smalline - you are right, these youngsters just don't kow how easy they have it at their age Wink Pounds that I could get off easily before no linger on for ages and take loads more effort.

GettinTrimmer · 22/02/2012 17:59

I'd agree with that too. In my mind I think I can still get away with making a bit of effort and the weight goes and doesn't go on so easily Blush but it's a struggle these days.

Anyway, I have gone back to foodfocus, sw has not worked for me. I think I will make this week my last wi with them. I weigh quite a bit less on my scales first thing in morning with nothing on anyway!

I've had 1533 cals today. Good day for me and unlike slimmers world have restricted the amount of rice. Going to the gym again tomorrow.

I am doing the race for life in Winchester 10th June. Fancy it Piste? Anybody?

GettinTrimmer · 24/02/2012 13:42

Hi all. anyone else wi today?

I did at sw. Gained a 1lb Sad Sad I genuinely didn't think I would gain this week. Not going back to sw anyway, I am planning on getting a new pair of scales and seriously exercising, x5 a week. went to gym today anyway.

Smalline · 25/02/2012 13:37

Bloody hell, I've put on 3lbs since I last weighed in, I am so Angry with myself, I am now back in the 13st range.

Sorry about your gain Trimmer especially as you didn't expect it. What are you doing at the gym? Are you doing weights, aerobic exercises (running machine, stair climber etc.)? Because that can have an effect on your weight loss/gain, also I would recommend you buy a body analyser which are about the same price as scales, but they not only tell you your weight, they tell you your body fat/water/muscle percentage. My body fat is too high at the moment at 37.1% and muscle too low at 25.7%, water is at 41% which for me is quite low, so I must drink more water. At my best weight so far, which was 12st exactly and was in May last year, my body fat was 34.4% muscle was 27.1% and water 43% (I know I am very sad because I have a spread sheet with this information)Blush, but anyway the more muscle you have, the more calories your body needs, the more you can consumeSmile.

Thanks smalline, sorry about your gain too Sad

I have been going wrong because at some point due to being busy I stopped exercising regularly. Going to gym again tomorrow, on Friday I did half an hour fat burning programme on the stepper, sit ups using the fitball and arm cycles, Not very much but building up.

We weigh the same now. Thanks for advice re scales.

Are you settled into your house now? We are decorating the front room, not sure if it's everyone's taste, will be terracotta and 'nude' glow Smile.

bebejones · 27/02/2012 08:44

1lb loss for me. A tiny bit disappointed, tried really hard this week. But a loss is a loss!

prettybird · 27/02/2012 10:31

Late Weigh In for me ( should have been Friday Blush) but can announce a 3lb loss Smile - and that's despite missing doing the Shred on Thursday and Friday last week (never do it at weekends).

So that means I'm back to 12st 3lb, which means I'm back to what the list shows (as it hadn't been updated after the previous week's gain Blush) GrinGrin

.... now, if I could just lose 4lb between now and Friday before I go off skiing [wishful thinking] Wink

GettinTrimmer · 02/03/2012 07:03

wi this morning, first thing, on my scales at home with no clothes.

haven't got my new digital scales yet, but I am a whole 9lb lighter than the slimmer's world scales last week. Weighed in at 12 stone 5 today.

Hope to 'see' you all again soon Smile
