Can you believe we are starting our third year together? We always said we were in this for the long haul, well we weren't kidding!

So stay and enjoy success, the support and the lunacy. There will be ups and downs, but we will do this together.

OOOoooh, Smokin I might just do that. Need to work out how much I want to lose. I'm also going to go back to Monday weigh ins, Fridays are dangerous, I just let myself go over the weekend! Blush

I'm back, ladies, as the mince pie bump that used to be my bum is almost as big as the baby bump at the front! I've put on 6lbs over the past two weeks - owch! Although not quite as bad as the 7lbs I put on in a week last Christmas. And I guess I'm still 3 lbs lighter than I was last NYD and 16lbs lighter than I was two years ago.

I'm obviously not trying to lose weight but I don't want to gain more than a pound or two over the next few weeks and I want the gain after that to be slow & steady and made up of baby rather than chocolate. I'll be weighing in on a Friday as that is when my week of pregnancy changes IFKWIM. I guess I'll be vaguely sticking to WW principles. The main change I need to make compared to the last couple of weeks is choose fruit rather than biscuits/cake when I get hungry. And not eat biscuits because they're nice! Took the tree down earlier (it was very dead) so I can now get to the exercise bike again.

I seem to remember making some really nice soups this time last year - maybe an apple & parsnip one and a BNS one. Can someone remind me of the recipes?

On a separate note, if anyone has any recipes for vegetable pasta sauces, please let me know. DD has abandoned vegetable eating unless forced but will eat pasta with anything. At the moment, I do a tomato sauce blended with loads of other vegetables but there must be others I can do. Any suggestions?

but everyone says how good it is - so will seriously try after oz

i did the soups - basically chop up bns and add 2 litres of stock, season and simmer and whizz

same for parsnip/apple - 3 large parsnips and 2 apples - cop, simmer in stock, season and whizz

I've not eaten yet today - I will have ryvitas for breakfast as there is very little food in the house until ASDA deliver later on today.

Really not a very good start to the day - was backing out of our drive and backed into our built-in flower pot that's been there since 1967.

Flower pot is demolished. Car thankfully has small scratches on it, nothing more serious.

When do you leave for Australia Blondes, and which part is it?

I'm fully low carbing, in ketosis by the end of tomorrow I hope. DH and I have a posh black tie do to go to this month, so I want to be back at goal by then.

What I will say re the weighing in, is that we have been together for so long, and we have known each other at our heaviest don't forget, there is nothing to be ashamed of here, you are amongst friends who don't judge. We have all been there. Also we have all declared our goal weights, so if you start declaring weight to lose, we can work out what weight you are now iyswim?! However, the most important thing is that you are honest with yourself.

Haha! many people in our road have taken out the bloody stupid flower pots as they are completely in the wrong place. Not my reversing at all Grin I am not the first to demolish.

In last house hardly touched next door's ornamental brick gate post. Damage to the car. Next door very upset as they'd built it themselves.

Piste, for me it was seeing that number in black and white again, having crept back up. Seeing it would have been negative for me, I kept it a secret from everyone until I'd done something about it. Being able to track the intended weight loss (and even having you guys guess where I'd gone back up to) was fine. Seeing it there in front of me would have been demotivating, not motivating. Does that make sense?

I am back into my low carbing too. salads and lean meats. Loving it. Roll on losing the next 15lb I have to go.

Whens your posh black tie do Piste?

My do is next Friday 13th (yeay for staying with Piste!) though have had serious issues with the ex and everything, so nearly couldnt come. Upside? The emotional torment has ruined what was left of my appetite. I have a black lace top (same style as dress I wore for NYE) and my skinny skinny size 12 jeans to wear (fingers crossed) Cant wait now. Its a big work reunion - everyone still working there is considered v. well paid and successful so I feel so much more confident going now. I have a fab job which I am great at. I have 2 beautiful boys I am raising on my own. And I now have a rather good size 12 figure. Yeay Me!!

Blondes - thanks for the recipes. When are you off to Oz? And where are you going? Is there room for a not so little one in your suitcase?!

Now that Blondes has given me the soup recipes, I'm after recipes for stodgy but healthy snacks. Mid morning, I need something filling - fruit just isn't cutting it. Its far too easy to head down to the cake stand at work or the biscuit tin at home. All we have at work is a kettle so I can't make a piece of toast or do some porridge in a microwave.

Today I ate:

2 x weetabix
Apple
Cinnamon roll (see what I mean about stodge)
Pasta with loads of veg
Twix (should be replaced with something else)
Pear
Smoked mackeral salad
Fat free yogurt

Also another one on Channel 4 with personal trainers (can't remember what it's called) I saw last night.

Oh, and theres one on Sky1 on a Monday I think, called Obese: a year to save my life. Very good - and in a couple of weeks its my friends uncle.

Yes, I watched BL too. I know some of the people were huge but a couple of the women particularly didn't strike me as being as big as before.
Had you realised that the previous female trainer committed suicide? I hadn't - but then I'm not sure I would have recognised her name. Apparently, she had been struggling with alcohol & other addictions. So sad.

Slightly better day today:

Yes Murtette, I saw a link end of last year. Apparently battled addictions and depression, which losing her job and her relationship breakdown didnt help and she jumped from Beachy Head. Sad

Your day sounds good. I've done ok, but did give into a teeny tiny little cupcake. Naughty.

It was a 6g carb one Piste so should still be in my allowance, just. I never check if I'm in ketosis or not. I slide into low Carb so easily now and barely ever feel hungry which is fab.

I put on a few lbs of water weight etc from new year, but should still be on Target to lose 1-2lb this week, break that 11st barrier hopefully.

So far I've been a good girl, 4 days in!! Even refused cake at toddler group yesterday! Grin Had chicken noodle soup (ww one) 51cals and low fat pretzels 91cals for dinner so will have some fruit and fat free yoghurt when DD is in bed!

Will catch up better when not on phone! Smile

Shred not as bad as I expected thanks smokin. I have achey pectorals and achey legs but not too bad. Doing it again tomorrow.

Anyway, I have lost 2lb this week!! Only 1lb to go and xmas weight will have gone.

But I am going out for dinner tonight to ASK and also again tomorrow night with dh somewhere, but will try my best to make good choices.

Bebe - I am impressed at your will power.

Was walking down the corridor at work this morning & one of my colleagues called out after me "You can tell you're pregnant from behind now, can't you" Blush. She's the sort of girl who tries so hard to be nice & helpful but always gets it wrong.

Have a good weekend. We're off to Gourmet Burger for lunch tomorrow so that's not going to help the weight. We'll be going for a walk afterwards but given the speed DD goes at and the fact we have to stop at each puddle for a good splash, its not really going to burn off any calories!
