Here we go again Slinkies Grin
Can you believe we are starting our third year together? We always said we were in this for the long haul, well we weren't kidding!

So stay and enjoy success, the support and the lunacy. There will be ups and downs, but we will do this together.
So Wine Cheers

Morning. Taking a sts this week. It's all in the water, not had nearly enough. Had a headache too.

Managed to get my wiifit to talk to my scales right though, and am pleased with where I am. Really would like 2lb this week after a sts, but its school holidays which is hard. And I've not been this low before, its so hard to lose weight near your bmi isn't it??

GettinTrimmer · 06/06/2012 09:56

Agree smokin school hols are hard. I sts this week. You've not got long to go now, I believe it is harder to lose when there's not much left to go.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2012 10:15

Bit of sick bug has gone on here since Monday night, all is done now, and I forgot to weigh in on Monday, but this am was 10:2

Managed a lot more water yesterday, so hoping today is the same.

Piste, hope sickness is long gone!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/06/2012 10:29

i need a sick bug (sorry) but there will be a gain fri

been so bad last few days with chinese thur night, fish and chip sun lunch and chinese sun eve, bbq and faaaaaaaar to much wine mon Blush but i was good yesterday

prettybird · 06/06/2012 17:13

Looks like we have all been suffering from a nasty bug.

Just as I was getting better from my bug (and tripping over my feet on the way to the Post Office Blush) my tooth, which had been sore since before my mum's funeral (and despite going to see the dentist about it and him doing a filling after doing an x-ray to find the problem so it should have been caught early) finally went off the scale in terms of pain and I've spent the last 4 days alternating ibuprofen and paracetamol and leaving my tea until it was tepid before drinking it.

Rang the dentist first thing this morning and got an emergency appointment. Turns out that the infection was still active below the filling and by now had attacked the nerve, so I'm having to have root canal treatment Shock

The first half has now been done so I'm at least no longer in agony and I need to go back in two weeks time for the 2nd hald of the treatment - and shell out £96 Sad This is on top of the £36 I paid for the first filling Angry, so, having never had to have done on my teeth, they've suddenly costing me a lot of money!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2012 17:53

Fortunately my bug lasted about 24 hours and now I'm starving and just want to eat everything. I never get anything and am very hardy normally, when I first started work I used to get everything but not any more. So I was somewhat surprised!

Yes, any excuse for not posting yer squares on time Pretty Wink

I've had one root canal treatment down, you have my sympathy!

Have to give credit to my dentist even if he should have done it properly 5 weeks ago and he did a brilliant job, both of the injection to numb my jaw and the subsequent "stuff" as he delved down into the root canal. Didn't feel a thing! Smile - or should that be Grin?Wink

Piste : I was ravenous initially after the first 24 hours vomitting - and then I got the other half of the "problem" Blush which lasted another 2 days.

prettybird · 06/06/2012 18:42

And even better, he's still NHS! Smile

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2012 19:20

I can tell Smile

I have to say I am quite impressed only being half a stone away from you Piste. I will catch you by the end of July!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 06/06/2012 19:44

You probably will!

When I suffered last time from a nasty bug I lost 2lb!

Pretty hope you are feeling better soon. I have been lucky like you and had no dental treatment since I was 20, but just goes to show...

It's just occurred to me we have a big family party up in Cheshire in 6 weeks Shock I don't want to look portly in the photos.

Blondes, how is going for you with SW? I am trying again Blush and also doing the race for life on Sunday in Winchester.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/06/2012 08:54

trimmer sw is slow but steady, im always gonna be a lb a week girl lol

saying that this week i sts but as ive basically had a week of pigging out/eating fish and chips on the beach so cooked in oil, 2 chineses and bbbq, almost 3 bottles of wine and a bottle of bubbly, crisps and cheese , i cant complain

but back on it today as got a bikini to get into in 2.2 weeks lol

well done smoking, pisty shes gonna catch you lol

pretty :( bout tooth, i had a root canal done 2 years ago and was ok x

GettinTrimmer · 08/06/2012 13:22

The thing is blondes, last time I did sw didn't take it very seriously and completely forgot we are supposed to have 1/3 of the plate "superfree" foods and couldn't be bothered to count syns. I am determined to give it a go again as I need to look as good as I can in 6 weeks for big party.

I asked at the new group I'm going to if a stone is 6 weeks is achievable. She said yes it is if I keep to the plan....

sw is basically no fat or sugar. Do you prefer it to ww? How's your exercise going?

Is anyone watching that Anna Richardson programme on channel 4 called Secret Eaters?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/06/2012 14:05

I do count syns although seem to use them mainly on salad cream lol

Eating 1/3 superfree is easy just weird how much I can eat on sw yet if I ww PP it as I did to begin I'm eating like 60 a day

smokinaces · 08/06/2012 16:59

I caught one episode of secret eaters and loved it but can't seem to find when its on?!

GettinTrimmer · 08/06/2012 18:11

ikwym Blondes, I am still stuffed from lunch, I had brown rice and chick pea curry. Don't want anything else to eat yet. After having a cappuccino, slice of wholemeal bread and low fat mayo I think that's all my syns.

Not much bread on this one, but for me that's a good thing as I am sure wheaty stuff doesn't help weight loss.

Smokin I know it's on channel 4 at 8pm think it's wednesday.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/06/2012 21:16

I had diet coke chicken and noodles

Yummy :)

Plus a sb and Chinese. But always bad on a Friday xx

GettinTrimmer · 09/06/2012 08:37

Blondes I have just read there is such a thing as "flexible syns" I am doing race for life on Sunday so I will be having a slab of cake afterwards Smile it mentioned you can increase your syns when you need to.

Smokin I watched that Secret Eaters on catch up it is wednesday at 8pm - I recognised myself as a "picker" episode I saw last night the mum who did all the cooking consumed many calories while preparing food. That's me Blush

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/06/2012 10:14

I love secret eaters - obv they all eat more then what they say

RatherBeOnThePiste · 12/06/2012 06:49

Morning Brew

GT that sounds like me too, I'd have eaten too much whilst preparing what the DC were eating, picked at any leftovers and then eaten later with DH. Not anymore!

BBC 2 Thursday at 9pm - 3 part series "The Men who Made us Fat" about the whole sugar/carb/fat studies and lies. Ive Sky+ it......

GettinTrimmer · 13/06/2012 14:27

I forgot to wi this morning. I am going to sw this evening though. I don't think I've lost any weight, even though I did the race for life on Sunday I overate and all the calories burnt through the race probably used up Blush

But I have been running again today so x2 exercise this week and increasing that next week to x4, I know that's what I need to do.

Piste I underestimated how hard it is to kick these bad habits

I'll be watching that Smokin. Also Secret Eaters on this evening, channel 4 8pm. I think it's the last one,

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/06/2012 09:40

sts but have been out for too many meals with oh and mb so cant say im surprised
