Here we go again Slinkies Grin
Can you believe we are starting our third year together? We always said we were in this for the long haul, well we weren't kidding!

So stay and enjoy success, the support and the lunacy. There will be ups and downs, but we will do this together.
So Wine Cheers

We've all done it blondes, I did it myself last summer. It does come off though. I know you are following slimming world, but honestly check the low carb threads out. It is a whole different woe and tbh has great results. Piste and I are both converts now.

I was down to 10st 11 on Saturday. Think that's going to be my weigh in this week as I had a big night out last night and know from experience it takes three or four days to settle down after that much wine.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/05/2012 20:13

i like carbs lol Grin couldnt live without pasta rice and post, but not bothered about bread

im a lb a week girl, but least i am not hungry and i can eat things i enjoy and crave

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/05/2012 20:30

Actually I honestly don't miss processed carbs what I miss is fruit

smokinaces · 13/05/2012 21:53

I have the odd strawberries Piste, though do miss my bananas for quick easy snack. I don't miss any of the pasta, rice, bread or crisps which is amazing considering how much I adored them.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/05/2012 22:37

DS made supper for us tonight and I had to eat it, was spaghetti. Right now I feel awful like I've eaten lead. Sad. Haven't had processed carbs for months. Not feeling too good right now.

Eeek. It's hard isn't it? My mum made me dinner last week to help me out. She did sausages, new potatoes, carrots and broccoli. I ate the sausages and brocolli and one potato but luckily it didn't repeat too much as it was carby but not processed.

Lots of water sloshing for you tonight.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/05/2012 22:53

how can a diet that bans fruit be healthy?

RatherBeOnThePiste · 13/05/2012 22:56

Because fruit is full of sugar and you have your natural carbs through veg. It's not unhealthy!

OP posts:
smokinaces · 13/05/2012 23:03

Fruit isn't as healthy as you'd think. the sugar is awful for gi, blood sugars etc. It is far healthier to get your five a day through green vegetables which offer better iron and vitamins and far less sugar. Portion control is another major thing you learn, which isn't encouraged in some of the other mainstream diets. Biwi and all have some great links about it all - and it is starting to get noticed worldwide about the link between carbs and sugar and the rise in obesity and diabetes. I have pcos and this is by far the healthiest way for me.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 14/05/2012 06:23

You can tell we are converts Smoky Grin

I'm a firm believer, after my friend Google, that we don't actually need items such as bread, pasta, rice etc. Our bodies use the energy but tbh they can get them from elsewhere. They are processed items we just don't need, and they affect our bodies negatively too. I have never eaten as healthily before - eggs and tomato for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch, roasted meat and veg for dinner. No processing in sight, and my body is reacting in a fab way to it.

The wine Saturday I probably could have got away with. If it weren't for all the birthday cake!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/05/2012 23:34

nothing would make me give up pasta lol

each to our own for diets- hopefully sw is a way of life for me - the weight is slowly coming off but least i eat and not hungry - unlike on ww x
