Another thread!

Gah, struggling today as no exercise - we were supposed to be going for a walk & DC scooter round Blenhe im Pala ce Park, but i forgot to put their coats in the car , so we literally ran in the house, went round and straight home.

So, now i have 600 cals left and we are going over to the neighbours for a Sunday roast later. I am sure there will be all the trimmings, pud and a glass of Wine, so am pretty much scuppered on being within 1200 cals. Will go for keeping below burn instead Grin

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 12/02/2012 15:35

Hi FjorGyn (What does your username mean?) Sounds like low carbing is working for you. What would a normal day's food look like? How much did your baby weigh? Sounds eye-watering!

Ooh Dublin, Loti- is that where you're from? Are you going there for half term?

How old are the rest of you? I'm 34 now and I've reached that point where I'm realising life is really too short, and I need to make the best of myself because I suppose it's all downhill from here Sad. You know what I mean, you look at pictures of yourself ten years ago and think why didn't I make the most of myself at my peak? Having said that, I feel more attractive in my thirties than I ever did, so that's good.

SharkBite · 12/02/2012 19:45

Ok, so deffo up to burn level, but may have kept within. Just. Grin

I am 39, big Four Zero next year, but nice to go into it the slimmest i have been since teenage years. No regrets for the past though Smile

FjorGynAndHotWater · 12/02/2012 20:49

Ah feck it shark, it's the weekend Grin

mychild the name comes from my DS who is a bit of a rampaging sort of a boy. One of his nicknames is Thor, and Fjorgyn was his mother according to wikipedia. He was 10lb 7oz at birth and is still rather portly now. One of the advantages of being much thinner now is that people don't judge me as much for having a fat child as they would if I was a lard bucket too!

FjorGynAndHotWater · 12/02/2012 20:50

Have had chocolate today Blush and roast potatoes Blush but only half as many as DH... Off to drink gin now [cheers]

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 12/02/2012 22:56

Wow, 10lb 7oz...ouch indeed! Grin

Nothing wrong with hot chocolate...I believe in factoring in a little treat every day. I love hot chocolate, but only have the real stuff very occasionally. I have an Options (or two) every day. Highlights is much nicer, but you need to put much less water in so I stick to Options cos it lasts longer and I get my hot choc hit.

Mmmm, gin Envy....one of the good things about dieting is I can't afford the calories for alcohol, so my liver is getting a good break!

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 12/02/2012 23:00

50 mins Nell McAndrew workout done tonight after kids were in bed.

I think I could have done with a day's rest, as I felt quite tired, and my poor thighs were screaming with pain...couldn't do as many squats as I did on Friday Confused so need to plan next week's workouts properly.

I'll be starting my 10K training tomorrow...bring it on! Grin

SharkBite · 13/02/2012 07:45

Morning Smile

0.25 down for the weekend which is probably fair. I have a lunch out today, so might try shredding before if dc will allow!

Well done on the evening workout mychild, but do make sure you have one or two rest days.

SharkBite · 13/02/2012 10:00

Grapefruit for brekker and Level 1 shred with weights done, so in credit for lunch Grin

SharkBite · 13/02/2012 19:52

Good lunch - cannellini bean soup, one tiny bread roll, then grilled fish with lentil dhal and cucumber spaghetti and two glasses of prosecco plus a small piece of birthday cake (left the icing and about 1/2 the cake Smile)

Rocket & parmesan salad and yoghurt for tea, and think i am within calories. Woo Woo!

Did you start your training today MyChild?

BTW , a G&(S)T is only 56 cals Grin

Gym tomorrow morning, then taking DD1 swimming.

FjorGynAndHotWater · 13/02/2012 19:53

Yay for being down sharkSmile

I was evens this morning by some miracle must have been more period bloating on Friday than I thought! Goodish day foodwise, hoping not to be undone by buns in a bit...

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 13/02/2012 21:45

Shark today's food sounds lovely...and so healthy. But I've never understood grapefruit for breakfast...weren't you starving seconds later?

Yes I started the 10K training today, using a programme I've found online. It starts off really easily so just a 2 mile easy jog today. I'm doing this two more times this week and will add two toning sessions and one Nell McAndrew session.

Hey, are you two being norty and weighing daily? Oh, OK, me too! Grin No change this week yet. Went down to 9st 8 on Sun, but to my dismay back to 9st 9lb this morning.

SharkBite · 13/02/2012 22:01

MyChild - oddly, grapefruit is the one thing which i can eat for breakfast and not be hungry at all until lunch. I do love it too, so makes it easier, although DD1 keeps eating them all too Hmm

I only weighed today to assess the weekend impact, and to try and keep on track....

Are you running on a treadmill or outside?

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 13/02/2012 22:15

What type of grapefruit? I find them really bitter!

I'm using a treadmill. That way I escape the bad weather and dog poo!

BTW I can never stop at one alcoholic drink Confused

SharkBite · 14/02/2012 08:45

Ah well, I am very fussy about my grapefruit. Has to be pink (not white or red) and been sat in the fruit bowl for 2-3 weeks Grin

Has to be picked by weight, not size and this will ensure they are juicy and sweet, not bitter. Best time of year for them now Smile

Boiled egg and half a slice of bread to see me through this morning's gym session.

onanightlikethis · 14/02/2012 11:40

Hello from Somerset! We are on holiday and alcohol calories are bad. Too much wine, but food has been okish. We are staying with familiy so have been able to say, I'll have salad rather than roast dinner without causing too much offence. Did burn 600 cal on a bike ride yesterday, but that's it on the exercise front. Can't wait to get back to exercise. Hello to you all. X

SharkBite · 14/02/2012 13:35

You have definitely earnt the Wine with that bike ride Grin

7.5k run, 12 mins powerplate, 1/2 hr swimming with dd1

Quite pleased as makes my 4 aerobic excersazz already this week Shock. 2shred and 2runs. Pilates thurs and that's it for the week as my parents arrive later today.

luckoftheirish · 14/02/2012 18:13

Well done ladies on all the exercise Smile

Rubbish 48 hrs in Dublin neither child slept and the played up something rotten Sad

Not a lot of exercise, a good bit of walking and too much rubbish food!

Came home and did shred level 1 with weights and have ff today so will be having a v light tea

Also have wrecked my ankle from my run on Sunday Sad, still not great but hoping to make it to the gym Tom am and try and do some form of cardioSmile

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 14/02/2012 18:48

Hi dig! I'm impressed you've turned down a roast dinner in favour of salad! I hope you had a bit of the meat...skinless chicken is diet-friendly.

I might try a grapefruit using your guidelines, shark. DS loves lemons, so he'd probably like grapefruit. Can't believe you've done your exersazz already! Do you run outside? How many kms are you up to a week, and how did you get into running? Sorry for all the questions Blush.

Welcome back Loti- hope your ankle heals quickly. I wouldn't worry about the lack of exercise...I think you've got more than enough in the bank after your last couple of weeks!

Rest day today for me today. Will do some stomach/butt/arms toning exercises later when my dinner has digested.

SharkBite · 15/02/2012 07:34

Loti, grrr for misbehaving kids and ankles. Hope you and the girls can enjoy a more relaxed end to half term Smile

Fish pie, fruit crumble and a glass of wine last night, managed within limits due to almost 700 exercise cals. Not sure what happens today though! Blush

Mychild, I usually run a couple of times a week, so 10-15k. Indoors ATM, as I don't want to risk my knee on mud. I got into running when I lost the weight the first time as it is the quickest/best way to burn calories. Quite enjoy it now Shock

luckoftheirish · 15/02/2012 09:05

Scales hate me after only two days of no running and missing ff for one feckin day Sad

Ankle still wrecked so no exercise, gonna be a very lean few days of eating to try and get back on track... This sucks Angry

MyChildDoesntNeedSleep · 15/02/2012 09:34

My scales hate me too Loti. They still haven't recovered from the six course meal I had 10 days ago Shock I went down to 9st9lb the weigh-in before the meal, then I put weight on for the next weigh-in, and judging from my sneaky weigh-in this morning I'm still 9st10lb. Will chuck them in the bin if they don't start behaving soon...I've been under calories since that blasted meal! Angry

2 mile run on treadmill. Gym owner pretended to faint when he saw me there this morning Hmm.

That's impressive mileage Shark.

FjorGynAndHotWater · 15/02/2012 12:27

Very bad day yesterday, lots of buns and wine too Blush

Trying to be good today, am tired which usually has me running for the biscuit tin although managed to resist so far. Belly sticking right out Hmm

Also I MUST start exercising again before you kick me off the thread! Just can't seem to summon up the motivation. I am so rubbish at following stuff through...

SharkBite · 15/02/2012 14:43

Sorry MyChild, but PMSL at the gym owner Grin

LOTI, sorry to hear your ankle is still poorly - is it an old injury? I managed to tweak my knee earlier, jumping over DD2 on the stairs (don't ask). However we walked to some local gardens and around there and my MapMyRun reckoned about 5k, so a few more cals to play with.

Have had grapefruit and soup & half a slice of bread so far, so doing ok. However mum brought a cake and no doubt there will be a glass of Wine later. Just need to keep on with small portions and logging and i should be ok.

Fjorn -Do some exercise today if you can as it will give you an energy boost out of your lethargy. Do it!!!!!! or we will kick you off Wink

luckoftheirish · 15/02/2012 15:27

New injury unfortunately shark, not wearing the right trainers whilst running Sad

Well done on your 5km walk, all I have managed is 2 1/2 hrs at soft play!

Dh playing badminton at 5, kids could go into club and I could do some kind of workout but so not up for it, have a measly 400cls left for the rest of the day so should really do something Hmm
