GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

that site is fascinating GFGW ! I really didi not want surgery and want it even less now !!

I have been struggling a bit last night and today. I have stayed 100% with it but I think my ketosis high has worn off and I feel a bit shaky and tired. I am not tempted to cheat but my mind is playing tricks with me and thinking about food. It does not help that work is super stressful too.

I will not cheat though. Day 6 today and I dont want to start again. My ketosticks arrived today and I am def in ketosis so it must be working.

This was always going to be hard - just need to keep going

It's a real struggle losing weight, portion control in WW, SW etc and still managing to find excuses to eat junk food that got us big in the first place.

Undertaking a meal replacement routine we still crave food, feel we NEED food, feel food will solve all our emotional psychological feelings we find unbearable to deal with without filling our tummy with the comforting tastes and warmth of a full tummy.

It's called self harm.

Do you enjoy being fat?

I do not like myself fat.

I know i feel different being morbidly obese.

I know i feel different being obese.

I know i feel different being overweight.

Different as in feeling self conscious at home and in public, feeling down, beating myself up in my mind - secretly.

Comparing myself to people in the street, on TV, knowing I'd be happier with my body if i was my ideal weight, my emotions would be calmer as i would no longer be dealing with the emotions being fat cause me to feel.

I know this as i lived it before.

I'm 38 soon I also do not want to be fat and forty...

Just poking my head round as I have dusted off my exante shakes to give it another go. Its good to find other people so motivated so I will keep popping in here for motivation.

Good luck for your weigh in tomorrow GFGW.

I want my good health to continue being free of obesity related disease and illness. I owe it to my Son at least to becme slim and exercise.
~We have each other, if i die because of overeating he'll be in a care home all alone.

Feel disgusted I've done tis to myself knowing that fact but it was my way of coping and self harming blaming ME AGAIN for things out of my control.

I want to see an after photograph of you fortynotfat.

If you want to see mine I will send you my after picture too. x

Might mean not much lost but plenty of time :)

This diet produces fast weight lss in month one, after 2 - 3lb per week, sometimes more. Ideal for thoselike myself who cannot control food or exercise. Reintroducing food slowly after goal weight will be hard.

Welcome olympic!

Thank you thank you thank you GFGW - yes the stress is making me want to reach for food although I know I dont need it and am not actually very hungry. The urge has now passed and I am thinking ' I dont need it to make me feel better'.

A long bath later will be better to de stress me than food and that wont lead to feeling bad.

Yes to the after pictures Grin

I'll keep rambling posting, to 'get the sheer self sabotage out, he/she won't beat me:)

I hope my posts make you feel better fatnotforty.

Really look at your body ij the bath, feel it all over not being pervy, imagine the extra room in there as time goes by.

i think sometimes when we are fat we ignore our bodies,.

I do and have a long soak planned tonmorrow :~)

Do you moisturiseyour body?

I was thinking of starting to use palmers cocoa butter or Nutrogena body cream - the ten layers type.

Which body creams do you use or intend to use, if that's the case? :)

I've read that Sskin exfoliation is extremly important when on a VLCD. and to be done everyday with body scrub and a exfoliating mitt.

Lots of repetition, reminders of basic reasons why we are doing this plan. Easy to put our heads in the sand, become less aware of important positive psychological visions of how we want to be.

Let's not be blind to the fact we are full of excuses, excuses to eat, burying head in the sand to the fact we getting bigger, unattractive to ourselves, not liking ourselves,,maybe we don't feel OK with ourselves in our mind, soul body so we eat for comfort

the viscious cycle continues

terrified we'll fail

hopefully ketosis will help us overcome the cravings of hunger

emotional needs...

another story..

I use eating as my escape and hideout and am lost without it. It is hitting me like a ton of bricks. It is not about hunger or the food it is hiding from stress. I honestly did not realise. Shit. I am cleaning and sorting things whereas before I ate and ate.
I so want to be free of this dependence on overeating and will crack it. This is much harder than giving up smoking. I have not cracked yet so this is it. Facing it and learning to be ok without binge eating.

Hi All, just thought I'd also stick my head round the door to say well done everyone!

I started CD at the end of Sept, weighing 18st 6lb at only 5'2" Blush However I was not able to do SS as I have gallbladder problems. I started with a couple of weeks of step 3 (1000 cals) before dropping down to step 2 (810 cals).

So far I have lost 45lbs and 3 dress sizes, which is fab considering I am eating an tiny bit of solid food. I survived xmas unscathed (lost 4lbs) and am now going to start exercising now I have more energy Smile

Ketosis will help the hunger, as will changing your daily routines so you don't automatically reach for a biccie just because you have a cup of (black) tea and a sit down...

Forty cleaning and sorting is good - you crack your food dependency and get a tidy sparkly house Grin

oops - formatting overload there...

Wow Feathers well done. I love to hear people's success stories as it really helps to motivate me because it shows that (while it is hard work - no denying that) it is doable.

I tested this morning and am in ketosis so there is no going back now [determined]

Hi everyone,
i have spent the last hour reading this entire thread and so happy i have found some ladies who have the same issues as me.

I am 30 and have about 80 lbs to lose. I too am on day 4 of SS and feeling good today. I am hoping to lose 50 pounds by mid-June so i know there is alot of hard work ahead of me.

I would love to join your thread and help in support, encouragement and getting through those tough days xxx

personal question but ladies who have 80 pounds+ to lose etc are you on ss? CD helpline just told me if you have BMI of anything over 40 ( i am abotu 40.2) you are not allowed to start on sole source and must start on 810 or maybe sole source +. Does anyone know if this is right? I just think it is gonna be harder for me to eat a miniscule little meal once a day then no food at all.
