2012 - New Years Day - The Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - Weight loss

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Oh Soon2, don't be so hard on yourself. In all honesty, if I were you I woulod just come off it until your consultant is back and you are in a better frame of mind.

You'll need the support of your consultant and it won't help her not beinghtere for three weeks, which is just the start of your diet.

It isn't failing, it is being sensible and stoppi9ng yourself from several of these small fails.

Soon2BSlim - so sorry to hear whats happening. You are being incredibly hard on yourself. I think 5inthebed has a point, can you wait til your consultant comes back?

Alternatively, can your Consultant put you in touch with another Consultant for the period she is away?

Soon2BSlim Sending you a huge hug. As the others have said, please don't be so hard on yourself. You are going through massive turmoil and to even think about trying to do this sort of diet without a consultant for support is perhaps expecting too much. I'm quite sure if life was just ticking along you'd do fine, but try and be a bit kinder to yourself. A lot of what you said rings so many bells with me (diff family issues) and I would be doing (only stopped the day before yesterday!) the same. Hope you have support IRL and not having to deal with all this alone. Thinking about you

Hi soon2Bslim - I think you would be better leaving it for a while, just until you've got your head around what's happening in your life. Please don't be so hard on yourself. Why not set yourself a target date to start in a few weeks' time and in the meantime just cut down a little and gradually take control of your eating - granted, you may not lose any weight, but at least you will be in charge. It sounds like you've lost sight of yourself my lovely, it's very easy to do when you're someone's mum and someone's partner, you sound like a sensitive young woman and you must try to love yourself a bit more.
Come back and talk to us, I don't suppose any of us are experts but we are prepared to listen

Thank u so much ladies for all ur supportive comments, I'm in two minds as to carry on or wait til she returns from her holiday but I'm swaying more to the option of sticking with it, think that's a good thing?? Hmm I think I would just feel even more crappy knowing I've stopped yet again and the days I have stuck to it this week are just going to be a waste of time and everytime I wake up knowing I'm not working towards loosing this weight will just put me down even more. I am really going to try and switch this upset and disapointment into positive and motivated thoughts to get me through the first 3 days and then the 3 weeks of not seeing her, I would be so proud if I could do that and then seeing the massive results and I'm hoping these thoughts keep me on track. I've been havin these bad habits for a long time when it comes to food so I know if I'm not doing the diet until my consultant returns I will just be eating crap 90% of the time and that's really not what I want. So keep coming with the motivational speeches because honestly they do really help lol, thank u all so much for taking the time in replying and giving such caring words,I really appreciate it :) ! Hope u are all doing ok as today has all been about me, sorry! Xxx

Morning! Soon2Bslim well done on taking a good look at things and doing what's right for you. Now you have made up your mind, make yourself proud of you. Loads of luck and I have to say that you sound like a pretty amazing woman.

Hope everyone else has a good day. It's day 3 for me and I haven't woke up with the headache I had yesterday...yeay! I had the chili for dinner last night and I love it, almost wish I could have that when I'm not on LL.

glad you are feeling more positive soon2Bslim. Can you find out if there is another councellor you can talk to whilst yours is away? Even just a phonecall. Just a thought.

I have a lurgy. My DD has had a tummy bug, my husband has it, and it would seem as of this morning so do I. They have been sick and got etc etc. I just have a bad tummy, cramps and feel sick. , Everytime I stand up have to run to the loo! (TMI sorry) Feeling YUK. On a positive note, its nasty outside, so wouldn't be going out anyway.

Positive vibes to you all xxxx

Good morning all! So pleased that you are sounding more positive Soon2, we've all fallen into bad eating habits, that's why we're here - we CAN win this battle - we all have our own ways of acheiving but we are all in the same boat!
Pleased you feel better today laura - day 4 will be even better.
Duckety!! Oh no, you've got the lurgy:( That was me last weekend - not nice. Hope you soon recover.
Oh nearly forgot - week 6 weign in for me yesterday another 2lbs gone so that's 16lbs altogether with 13.5lbs to go:)

Weigh in for me tomorrow. Should be fun. Would prefer to be weighed in the morning rather than mid afternoon when I'm full of liquids. Never mind. SHould have a loss anyway.

Juma great weight loss, you are doing fab, wish I was in your place :)
5inthebed loads of luck for tomorrow, I know just what you mean about the weight in, my class is at 6pm - a whole day of water, water and more water. I will console myself with the fact that it's the same time every week so it shouldn't make too much difference to the basic weight loss.

On a serious note.....I sooooo want toast :(

Ha ha! Laura, Toast (with beans on) is the one thing that I have truly missed.

I miss crisps. :(

I am struggling from tea time onwards, but think it is more habit than hunger. Would usually have tea with the boys or DH and then snack a few times.

Doing this for all the right reasons though!

morning all, hope ur all doing ok, weigh in day for me this morning Hmm have been terrible the last two days so hoping i lose something for the efforts i have put in this week even if its one pound! gonna get back on it tomorrow as my friend is taking me out tonight and i havent exactly stuck to it for a couple of days so hoping to start a fresh tomorrow!! Good luck to u all ur doing so well, i will post here later my loss (or gain!) xx

Hi all

Thank you for asking - DH is all better he was ahead of me in the lurgy illness so to speak, DD is back to her perky self. I was the last one to get it, and am at the weak as a kitten stage. BUT had some water this morning, and its not gone anywhere yet! Still abit sickly, but wil try a shake at lunchtime.

Can't wait to hear everyones weightloss later! I'm not getting weighed for another two weeks but love to hear how everyone is doing, it inspires me!

Morning! Had to go to bed early last night to stay away from the kitchen, but it worked. Not feeling hungry today so that's progress. Was thinking of taking a weekly pic to try and see a difference to keep me motivated, does anyone else do that?

Duckety glad the family are feeling better hope you're ok.

Good luck with the WI today ladies can't to hear how you get on.

Hi ladies well not a great weight loss at albut its better than a gain, i lost 1 lb!!!pretty good considering the binge ive been on. going to definately start tomorrow and stick to it this time, my consultant had been really supportive today and im just going to look forward to my weight loss in 3 weeks time, aiming for a stone, good luck to the rest of u ladies and 5inthebed let us no how well u did today xx

Well done soon2B, I bet you can do a stone in 3 weeks once you've set your mind to it. Just think, what's 3 weeks in the great scheme of things? nothing!
Go at it hard for 21 days and when you look back you'll be so glad you did.
That's the attitude I adopted when I started 6 weeks ago - I thought it would take me about 12 weeks to lose 2 stones - and I thought to myself what's 3 months to get my life back on track/gain my confidence back and generally feel good about myself again?
So instead of fannying about losing half a pound a week(sometimes a quarter of a pound) at WW or SW for the next year, I thought I would do CWP which is HARD there's no denying it, BUT you get the results fast :)
You sound quite young to me - you've got your whole life (and your kids' lives) spread out in front of you - don't waste it - make 2012 'The Year you Turned your Life Around'

Well done Soon2, better off than on in my books.

Well just been weighed, and have lost 8lbs officially according to her scales. Am happy with that as have AF and major back ache so probably not had as much water as should have had.

Hi micaa I'm new only on day 5 of LighterLife. Loving the foodpacks, I really didn't expect them to taste very good but they are yummy. Can't wait till I'm looking back at 12lbs gone, I'll be very happy.

Well, just about to start getting the troups ready to do the weekly shop, oh joy! 4 kids in the supermarket is never going to be anybody's idea of a great day out. They are really good kids but it tests them! Going for a day out with a friend tom and only taking the 2 girls, I can't wait, will leave DH home to shout at the football with the boys! Anyone got plans this weekend? Hope you all have a lovely day.
