2012 - New Years Day - The Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - Weight loss

GoingForGoalWeight · 11/12/2011 23:04

I weigh over 25 stones. I expect to weigh more than this on New Years Day after all the festive scoff is over. Xmas Grin

I am going to start the Cambridge Diet - Sole Source - on New Years Day.

I have found my Consultant and we have met, she lost 13 stones in 9 months and has kept the weight off for over 7 years!

4 Cambridge choc mint shakes per day.

3 - 4 litres of water per day.

Anybody else planning on starting The Cambridge Diet in 2012? Come join me and we can support each other.

Xmas Smile

Tried calling my Consultant today as arranged, no answer!

Hope this isn't going to be a problem in future, but it is New Years Day, so forgiven :)

hope you got the answers goingforgoal and how are you getting on ? The first couple of days are the hardest I have found.

I agree with you and I am going to tell no one either - just dont want to deal with questions / opinions of others.

Day 3 here and now I am in ketosis feel fantastic and a bit hyper and not at all hungry - off for a beach walk.

Back to work tomorrow then school run etc resumes so back to the grindstone Sad

I have some energy back, slightly lighter on my feet already :)

Life cannot continue like it was. :(

I shall take my netbook with me to Friday's weigh in for a before photograph.

I hope everyone else on this thread is taking a before picture, front, back, profile.

I have not taken a picture but have enough horrid 'before' pictures just need to get to the 'after'

Thanks for the smoothie tip - I may try that.

Glad you are so positive it helps. I am too as I need to change.

Are we on our own on this thread ?

Day 3 done now so am getting there slowly

It is our own private journey in reality. I'll be here unless a Doctor advises I must stop Cambridge via illness, (you never know).

Hi, mind if I join you? I'm on day 4 of the cambridge diet and have been finding it hard (headaches and nausea, oh and hunger!). Especially difficult with everyone around me not dieting and waving chocolates around!

Hello! Im thinking about joining, this thread has made me feel really motivated! I am just worried about cost at the moment. Also my BMI is over 40 and my drs surgery has signs everywhere saying she will not support CD or LL. Do you think this will be a problem? So desperate to be slim. Have spent too long being miserable and being in a cycle of eating because im unhappy with being fat and then being even fatter and even more unhappy!! Must stop! Have wedding to go to at the end of may which i would love to be slim for. If i can get to that and feel amazing i know I won't let it all go again

Hi Jenda

Welcome :)

You might have to change Ddr. if after consultation she will not support you. I've never heard of this before, your Dr needs educating.

Had difficulty sleeping last night.

Feeling energised and focused ontaking Cambridge day by day. I might be in ketosis.

:)

Feel really positive and happier :)

welcome Jenda Becki and ablexy !

I have done 4 days and feel fab - the ketosis has been keeping me awake though as it has made me all 'buzzy' so I hope to sleep better tonight.

goingforgoal glad you are so positive - we can do this.

I went to Waitrose today and had to look at the food without thinking about it. It is as if I have closed my mind to food.

Roll on the next few weeks / months as the weight falls off

well done GFGW !!

Just think how good we will feel on day 10 or week 5 or week 15 and so on and so on

I just had to stand and watch my husband prepare himself a tasty snack and I found myself looking longingly at it but I stayed strong and resisted

Tomorrow will be no harder than today and I stuck with it today so will be able to tomorrow.

Have you had a snekay weigh in since you started ?

Report
GoingForGoalWeight · 04/01/2012 18:03

Hi forty

No weigh in for me at home yet, shall do on Friday morning.

I have found this site

www.WLSurgery.com

Packed of people awaiting weight loss surgery in the UK, pre-op liquid diets etc.

It brings it home we are not alone if we're used to group meetings in weight loss classes.

Nutrition is in our packs we do not need food.

Look at the Lighter Life channel on Youtube too. Pauline Quirk gives interview on This Morning.. :)
