Starting on tuesday (Nov 1st) I will be commencing my November boot camp. The rules are:

  1. 30 mins exercise every day
  2. No booze and lots of water
  3. No processed food and lots of fruit and veg

That's it. Easy right? Join me if you want to, i'm aiming to lose at least a stone, (ideally 1.5 stone by middle of Dec) taking me to 10st. I'll be weighing in on Fridays and logging food/exercise diary here to keep on track.

Morning all!

Well Davina has ruined my thighs! Ouchy! Still going to run this morning though, sure I will be fine when I get going.
B: Yoghurt with seeds and honey
L: Leftover yummy soup from last night with ryvita
D: Need to shop but probably some chicken and veggies with a few potato wedges?
Snacks: fruit and raisins (I find those kids mini raisin boxes really handy - only 40 or so cals and just right to keep lurking in your handbag for when you get a bit hungry/need a teeny sugar hit)

Weigh in tomorrow for me and I have to say I have high hopes [fingers crossed emoticon]

Weigh in this morning....11st2 so 4lbs off Grin

Today's plan:
30mins Davina boxing
B: Yog/seeds/honey
L: Ryvita/cream cheese/salad
D: Steak, green beans and wedges

Next goal is to be under 11st next friday at weigh in - seeing 10 something will be such a boost...

Have a great friday all!

LuckyC · 18/11/2011 13:26

Well done Faux!

Have to report a massive massive fail for two days of bad eating.

Starting again today:

3tbps oats, yoghurt
Soup
Chicken breast, green veg
Snack: apple, banana

Weighing in later. Fear.

LuckyC · 18/11/2011 13:26

PS Faux what's your total weight loss?

FauxFox · 18/11/2011 14:09

5lbs - the first week I was ill so didn't do any exercise and only dropped a 1lb then 4lb this week. I'm hoping if I keep up the exercise I can lose 3 or 4lbs by next friday too! fingers crossed!

OP posts:
FauxFox · 19/11/2011 08:50

Well i'm in a foul mood this morning so I hope a run will improve this or my poor family will not be having a good morning...just feel like such a skivvy and nobody appreciates it

Anyway B: Yog L: soup or ryvita D: cheese souffle??

Have a good day all.

PS How did your weigh in go Lucky?

OP posts:
LuckyC · 19/11/2011 09:17

Faux 5lb is brilliant, well done you. Have not weighed in yet. I am too scared.

I must confess I am not doing well - stormed around in a massive strop last night (erm for the same reasons as you! No-one appreciates me!) and then stuffed two mince pies in a sulk (like it's hurting anyone but me.)

I don't know what's up with me, just can't get this right! And we have people staying this weekend, so I am cooking dinner tonight and Sunday lunch tomorrow, not sure I will deal well with the temptation. Right, back in the saddle:

B: 3tbs oats, sprinkle cornflakes, fat-free yog.
L: ? fruit / soup
S: Ham, veg, tiny but potato (will resist as far as poss...)

No time to exercise today but went on 2-hour hike yesterday.

Faux keep it up you are inspiring me!

FauxFox · 19/11/2011 11:04

Oh Lucky don't let the bastards get you down Grin am feeling much better afer a run and a shower although muggins here did cook boiled eggs and toast for everyone before I went out Hmm

Tis very hard to keep on the straight and narrow when socialising - maybe you'll be too busy hostessing to eat too much?

I'm really proud of myself doing this, no alcohol since Oct 31st is a big achievement for me and it hasn't even been that hard! Just a habit I had got into. And I think today was the 10th day in a row i've exercised for 30mins! If I ever feel like copping out I remind myself that this is for ME and i will only be disappointing myself. Food wise I have cut down on portion size, especially carbs in the evening, but I still have had a few squares of dark choc a couple of times. I'm determined to keep this up until the kids break up from school on the 16th December. I've got a party to go to on the 17th and i'd love to be looking and feeling fabulous by then (will need to be under 10st7, closer to 10st the better!) might even treat myself to a new dress...

jerin · 19/11/2011 12:31

Wow! Well done faux fox. 5lbs is fab.

Mine is static- suprising I haven't gained tbh.

I thought I posted during week but looks like it got lost in cyber space! I've had really bad knees this week so unable to do much exercise (getting up the stairs was hard enough!)

Food wise I've been tempted by cake a couple of times and a gingerbread latte!

This week however, I have no children to run around after and a gym (albeit not a great one but having never step foot in a gym before I'm sure I'll cope!!) I am also hoping to fit in a few runs and if I can beg/borrow or steal a bicycle shall be cycling too. Food wise I'm gonna really struggle as I'll be spoilt for choice with calorie laden delights! I know too ghat there is a sundowner shandy cooling with my name on too.

I will however be as strict as I possibly can and if I excerise then I may be able to at least counter balance it.......

I will lose weight.....I will lose weight....I will lose weight.....I will not be harpooned on beach.....I will lose weight....

way2serious · 19/11/2011 12:42

Hi,

I am a bit late joining. I have been eating healthily for the last week or so but am struggling to fit in exercise because of the dark nights and mornings and work and family committments. I have dug out my Shred DVD and may give that a go this week.

I have tried to reduce my carbs especially in the evenings and have upped my in take of fruit considerably. I have thought really hard about doing Dukan but am anxious about the narrow choices and the lack of fruit.

I am 2 pounds off going over the boundary into the next stone and aiming to try and reach that by next Friday if poss!

FauxFox · 19/11/2011 12:45

Ooooh way2 i'm 2lb off going into the 10 somethings - challenge you to do it by next Friday with me!!

OP posts:
FauxFox · 20/11/2011 08:47

Morning all - off out for the day today with the family so no time to exercise without disrupting proceedings massively...there will be plenty of walking though...i'll compensate by trying a longer/harder route for my run tomorrow.
B: yog
L: Out so who knows!
D: Beans on toast Grin

Hope you all have a lovely day!

OP posts:
FauxFox · 21/11/2011 07:31

Yesterday was not good...not terrible but not good...there were biscuits....

Moving on! Today I will run my longer, harder route (big hill) eeek!

B: yog
L: ryvita/hummus/salad
D: HM soup and bread and cheese

Eyes on the prize...I will be 10st something on friday...I WILL!!!

OP posts:
LuckyC · 21/11/2011 09:51

I have spent all weekend cooking massive meals and drinking endless tea and red wine. Fun but fattening. And I have a work party tonight and one on Weds which is a worry...

Today:
B Banana/yog/3tbs muesli
L Salad / ham
D Soup

Will try to fit in exercise.

Good luck this week everyone!

bluedomino · 21/11/2011 21:10

Hello ladies,

Firstly congrats Faux 4lb Fox! Thats amazing.
Jerin - I've stayed the same too.
Lucky - I know what you mean about only hurting yourself when you stuff in mince pies, that's such a good way to think of it.

And its all gone horribly wrong, because we went to London for the weekend and it was so hard to eat well. Pizza, carrot cake, mocha latte cheesecake (to die for) and so on, you get the idea. Although I did walk a lot and I don't usually walk much, so I'm hoping that a change to my exercise may shock my body a bit, but that may well be a futile wish. Hmm

I'm really feeling I fell of the wagon big style, and now its so hard to get back on. What's happened to all my motivation? I must have ate it.

Got a spin class in the morning but the walking has ucked up my Achilles tendon and its swollen so not sure how hard I'll be able to push it.

Lets keep at it ladies, and good luck for reaching 10 something on Friday, it may be a few weeks before I join you there. Smile

FauxFox · 22/11/2011 07:39

Well done for getting back into it yesterday Lucky and Blue - ouch to swollen Achilles tendon Sad hope it is better today.

Today I will go for a run.
B: Yog
L: Ryvita/hummus/salad
D: Fish with green beans and bacon

Have a good day all!

Today:
B 3tbs muesli, banana, yog L Omelette and cottage cheese and salad D Chicken green veg

Faux hope not too bad Achilles?

FauxFox · 22/11/2011 10:34

Tis not me with the poorly tendon it's blue I was expressing sympathy...my tendons are fine and just made it running up the hill of doom without stopping!! Woohoo!! Well done on Shredding Lucky as Jillian says - "You are St-rong!!! This is eeeeeasy for you!"

OP posts:
bluedomino · 22/11/2011 20:36

Hi all, I made it through the spin class without any tendons snapping, so that's good. Also been quite well behaved today apart from some sushi. Think I've got PMT though because I want chocolate and crisps and all things bad.

Breakfast - Porridge (with water) grapefruit juice
Lunch - 2 poached eggs and wholemeal toast
snack - mixed nuts
Dinner - veg soup
snack - sushi

LuckyC - well done for shredding, I must see one of these DVDs, everyone is talking about them.
Faux - congrats on conquering the Hill of Doom.

FauxFox · 23/11/2011 07:30

Glad you made it through spinning in one piece blue

Today i'll do Davina 30 mins
B: Yog L: soup D: palma ham and melon then off to cinema (no popcorn for me!)

OP posts:
ComradeJing · 23/11/2011 12:37

Can I join please? I went through all of the photos taken of DD since she was born 10 months ago and I can't believe how much bigger I am. I lost 5kg before I got pregnant, lost all of my baby weight by giving birth and have now gained it all back and more. I really don't recognise the chunky lady in the mirror any more.

I need a kick up the arse and to just get moving and eat better. :)

FauxFox · 23/11/2011 13:33

Welcome Jing good luck! Still plenty of time to shed some lbs before Christmas Smile

OP posts:
FauxFox · 24/11/2011 07:37

OP posts:
bluedomino · 24/11/2011 22:06

Welcome Comrade.

Today I gained a pound, not entirely surprised given how bad I was over the weekend. Did another spin class today and hard swim last night. Gym and spin tomorrow.

Must try harder.
