The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONCIOUSLY

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches so forget diets, they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

pp no I'm not Blush, I'm not doing much at all really...I am hoping to take the last year out though (fingers crossed), so that will take some pressure off. I wish I knew where this year has gone

neverputasockinatoaster · 08/11/2011 21:08

Evening everyone!

Well, something has clicked! I am feeling really positive. The past couple of days, since Sunday really, I think I may have got it!

Took DD (4) to a party on Sunday and didn't eat any of the bits because I wasn't hungry!
Monday at work I didn't pick in the biscuit tin as I normally do, I did have a biscuit at break but I really enjoyed it and it didn't leave me craving more!
Today I have again avoided the biscuit tin and when I got back from work today I was hungry. I had a drink but I was still feeeling growly tummied so I pondered, had a packet of those wholegrain crisp things, really ate them slowly and then left the kitchen!
I have alse been out for a training walk as I'm doing 2 Moonwalks next year and I cracked the 35 minute barrier for 2 miles.

I feel ace! I am listening to Paul everynight when I go to bed, it's the only time I get a spare, uninterrupted 30 mins!

Does anyone else have any of the other cds? Are they any good? Worth the investment?
Hope everyone is well!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 08/11/2011 21:16

Oh sock well done! I think that is what I need to do with the CD, it just isn't happening at the moment.
I picked up the other CDs cheaply on ebay and they are good, but the one that comes with the book is the best IMO.

VJayazzle · 08/11/2011 21:16

Nice one never, I have fallen off the wagon spectacularly and only been pming a week, but after reading your fab post I'm going to start back again tomorrow. I must crack this, I felt so good last week and want to feel like that again.

Solo · 08/11/2011 23:08

Well done never :) I'm the same as Ali atm :( must listen to the discs.

VJ that's a great sign for you; the desire to have that great feeling again :)

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 09/11/2011 00:23

Gah, so late again!

Been having a massive tidy up in the house and it looks sooo much better. My new cleaner starts tomorrow - hence the tidying! I am a bit Blush, but I just can't keep up with it atm and living in a dusty house makes me poorly (asthma). I'm hoping it will give me more time to spend on cooking and planning food properly as things are a bit hit and miss here some days what with DS2 and his non-sleeping.

I must go to bed, I am going to listen to the CD. Suddenly realised that it is bloody daft to be trying to do a weight loss program based on NLP, and not actually doing the NLP part. No wonder it isn't working for me atm.
Sometimes I wonder about myself, I am sure I used to be quite clever somewhere in the dim and distant past Grin

VJ - yes I want it too. I was feeling brilliant a couple of months ago, really in the zone and I want that back again. I know that I will be hugely disappointed in myself if I can't shift half a stone at least before Christmas.

TheOriginalFAB · 09/11/2011 07:54

Well done never! Grin.

Solo - I hope you are feeling better now.

Ali - yes, you need to look after your house so you can look after yourself says the one with a streaming cold and no jumper on

VJ - good kuck for today.

I have to see the GP this morning for a weigh in. According to my scales I have lost something but I can't remember what I was so it might be 3lbs or it might be 1. Either way the GP's scales had me as heavier than mky home ones so he might tell me off. If I haven't lost anything he is putting me on slimming tablets. I have stopped taking one lot of meds so I am hoping that will help.

VJayazzle · 09/11/2011 08:11

Good luck to you for today fab.

Ali I would like half a stone gone by Christmas too. I've had a glass of water do far and will go from there. Will try and get the cd onto my iPod today as well.

ppeatfruit · 09/11/2011 11:36

COME ON NOW ALL OF YOU!!!!!! YOU KNOW IT CAN BE DONE ,IT'S EASY!! FFS!!! (just adminstering a needed kick up yr collective backsides Blush)

ppeatfruit · 09/11/2011 11:38

Not to you sock Congrats Smile

TheOriginalFAB · 09/11/2011 12:25

I have lost 2.2lbs but the GP's scales have me 6lbs heavier than my home ones. I have to go back in a month.

VJayazzle · 09/11/2011 15:46

Thanks for the boot up the bum Grin. I have just got back from the docs and have suspected gallstones so I'm now on a fat free diet, not sure where to start with it or how it fits in with pming, any ideas?

ppeatfruit · 09/11/2011 16:15

Well done!! original.

VJ I'm on the Blood type type for my health you could check that out IMO everything fits in with P.Ming I have a lost an extra half stone to add to my original 2 using the Blood type and P.M. !!

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 09/11/2011 21:15

Fab well done, you will get there. :)

VJ - you need to develop and insatiable hankering for vegetables Grin Seriously though, hope you are ok. Do gallstones go away?

I am feeling better about all this today, I must say that sock your post was inspiring.
I was so tempted to not cook this evening and get takeaway (not for the DS's obviously!), but galvanised myself and we had a lovely meal. It bugs me that I find it so hard to cook for us all. I do do it most days, but it is such a chore and that annoys me because I love cooking really. Or rather I used to love it, when I could go and spend 45 minutes in the kitchen and make something delicious and quick rather than having to start cooking at lunchtime to have any chance of getting it sorted out!
Ho hum, I suppose it will get easier and more fun again as the boys get older.

I bought a dress today that I might wear to my brother's wedding in February. I tried the 18 on first, and it was too big so I got the 16! I was like this Grin in the changing room!

VJayazzle · 09/11/2011 21:57

Ali that is fab about the dress Grin

I don't know what will happen if it's gallstones, I've got a blood test first to investigate and will go from there, in the meantime I have to go on the fat free diet.

Solo · 09/11/2011 23:35

VJ did you by any chance do the lighter life diet?

ppeatfruit · 10/11/2011 08:45

Morning allSmile why Solo is the lighter life known for causing gallstones?

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 10/11/2011 11:49

pp - I think the sudden loss of weight + malnutrition and really screw things up, which isn't really that surprising!

Doing ok here this morning, although DH went to Sainsbury's for milk and came back with danish. Argh.
