The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONCIOUSLY
  4. STOP when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches so forget diets, they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here is the book on AMAZON which is all you need to get started!

This is the tapping technique EXPLAINED - this can be useful to combat cravings.

Please feel free to join us. We are friendly, supportive and successful but we're not hungry!!! so come on in and start living your new life today!

The slimming consultants I've come across really do remind me of the Matt Lucas character in Little Britain. Often patronising, a little overweight, and usually sporting a rather unfashionable scarf and a bad haircut.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 18/01/2012 18:51

Hello all. Generally sounding positive in here! I am feeling ok despite being cd1 with af (ouch). I went shopping today for food and it was weird! I automatically went for 'diet' food then chose non diet! DH was chuffed. Food tastes so good when I chew it. I feel thinner. Till resisting weighing in....
I agree about slimming consultants. Oh the irony!
Sorry I don't fancy licking Paul's...anything! I think he's ace especially if he's helping me get skinny and I don't have to diet but not sexy! Definitely think the yes, that's rig is a tad too smooth,
Good luck with the return to work kinky.

Sparklingbrook · 18/01/2012 22:37

Hello. I am new, shall i buy the book and come back? Smile

Solo · 18/01/2012 23:06

Hello, hello!!! Yes to sexy, oh yessss!! Grin he is extremely charismatic in the flesh and I'd agree to anything a date with him. Licking him? er...yeh! I'd do it

Kinky good news!

Sparklingbrook welcome. :) you can buy the book and cd and use those as an aid, but if you read the OP, then the rules are there as a quick reminder. The cd is essential I would say.
This is a great thread, healthy and easy weight loss when you follow the rules.

Sparklingbrook · 18/01/2012 23:09

Can i do it though really? I am so sick of all the WW points fiasco.

stripygiraffe · 18/01/2012 23:27

Hi Sparkling yes you really can do it!! There is no tracking, counting or denying just really simple rules to follow. I add 'Drink lots of water' to the rules as it is a massive help to me.

This doesn't require willpower as such just a commitment to the rules and general ethos, some concentration while you get used to it and the ability to dust yourself down and get right back to it if you cock up.

Hi to everyone else. It's AF time and I can't get enough bread! It's always top of my list for what I want Angry
It's weigh in time for me on Friday. I'm prepared to not lose anything/much due to AF.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 18/01/2012 23:30

Sparkling yes you can, honestly it is so refreshing after all the counting and bollocks.

The rules are only there to teach you how to listen to your body. Once you've cracked it then you eat like a thin person forever.

I am getting there, slowly, but the biggest thing for me is that my relationship with food is better now than it has ever been, and that makes me so much happier.

BBB - we are sorted for an accountant, thank you! Networking scene? I will PM you if that's ok? :)

Sparklingbrook · 18/01/2012 23:33

I am quite excited. I have ordered the book. I really want to do this but I have lost 3 stone 3 times in the last 15 years and it needs to end.

PhoenixFromTheFlames · 19/01/2012 07:10

sparkling go for it! We've met on other threads actually, I used to be HaveALittleFaithBaby..
I said to DH this is the first time in 16 years I'm not on a diet/breaking a diet! You never feel deprived cos if you're hungry, you eat. I realised I'm not hungry as often as I thought. I think.about healthier snacks and foods that keep me going that I learnt from diets but I don't count out everything or obsess about calories. I just figure I'll give it a good go since it's easier than anything I've done before.
Funny actually, been listening to the cd in the bedroom. DH hasn't read the book but suddenly he's struggling to finish his meals! Think it's rubbing off on him!

ppeatfruit · 19/01/2012 09:19

Hello good morning all P.Mers lovers or not Grin

Thanks I thought we might see sparkling* on here you're very welcome Smile you don't have to eat 'DUST' on this thread !!!!!

ppeatfruit · 19/01/2012 09:24

Sorry if the above is a mess Solo thanks for backing me up on the sexiness or not of S.G. P.M. shall we call him S.G.? (sex god) Grin have you read the S.W. thread yet?

Sparklingbrook · 19/01/2012 09:27

Morning everyone . Just to give you an example. I have just eaten 2 slices of buttered toast for breakfast and I want to put two more slices in the toaster. What will be different once I have started?

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 19/01/2012 09:47

You will only put one slice in, then you will eat it and decide if you need any more. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 19/01/2012 09:49

Sounds v simple and sensible. Shock How about the KitKats calling me from the fridge?

ppeatfruit · 19/01/2012 10:11

But Sparkling WHEN you are eating you must chew SLOWLY really tasting and enjoying yr food; it really started working for me when I COUNTED to between 15 and 20 (depending on how chewy the food is) on every bite and also close yr eyes if that helps.

Talking about the kit Kats you'll get into the tapping which helps to stop cravings. BTW when you eat them REALLY tasting them they taste BAD! I can't eat cheap choc any more only the dark stuff!

Sparklingbrook · 19/01/2012 10:13

Thanks ppeat. Sorry for all the questions. Smile I may try and read the whole thread at some point.

ppeatfruit · 19/01/2012 10:33

Don't apologise Sparkling we all had to start at one time or another and it's good to help someone along Grin That's what we're here for Grin

Solo · 19/01/2012 12:08

Hmmmmmm... sex god Grin it could be our little piece of comfort pp imagine biting into him covered in cream/chocolate/curry (you choose!). Yum!
Not seen that thread yet, but I'll go now in search.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 19/01/2012 12:14
Grin

Maybe that's what I should do when I am wanting to overcome a craving, think about whatever food smeared over PMK Grin

I am poorly today and feeling sorry for myself. Can't be bothered to eat though, which is v.odd for me!

Solo · 19/01/2012 12:24
Grin
ppeatfruit · 19/01/2012 13:35

NOOO not curry Shock Shock solo !!!!!! Dark 70% chocolate MMMMM only on his chest though (hoist bosom) Grin i wonder if he depilates? I bet he does. I like 'em smooth Ali and in touch with their feminine side TMI I know Grin

ppeatfruit · 19/01/2012 13:38

Wish you better Ali hope we haven' t made you feel even sicker!!!Grin

BigBoobiedBertha · 19/01/2012 14:39

Solo and ppeat - Good grief ladies, are you quite .....you know.... well? In the head and all that. If ever there was a need for one of these Hmm it was now. And probably one of these too - Shock

Waste of good food if you ask me. And I don't even like curry.

ppeat I don't think Ali meant smooth as in hairless I think she meant smooth as in smarmy. Well, I did anyway. Grin

But thanks to you both. You have killed my appetite. Probably forever. I will dwindle away to nothing and then disappear in a cloud of fairy dust and it will be all you fault. And I bet you will claim as another success for PMcK. Which is suppose it was. But not in the way he intended.

Get well soon Ali. I don't think it is the illness that is putting you off your food I think it is the current conversation on this thread. Unless you have some sort of stomach buggy thing in which case it is probably that but made 10x worse by those 2.

Solo · 19/01/2012 15:52
BigBoobiedBertha · 19/01/2012 16:00

Not to worry, Solo. I quite like the idea of disappearing in a cloud of fairy dust with a puff. Would be a nice way to go.

Not much appetite today anyway. Hormones all over the place. No AF since before Christmas except 2 weeks of spotting which was really weird but now it is back properly today. Very odd. Not sure if it is age and the delightful perimenopause or something else. Suppose I should go and get checked out but it seems a bit of a faff.

Got governor training this evening too and have no idea what to do about tea. Too early to eat before I go and too late when I get back. Might be a peanut butter and toast.
