The Golden Rules that will aid you on your journey with our like minded support system:

  1. Eat what you WANT
  2. Eat when you are HUNGRY
  3. Eat CONCIOUSLY
  4. STOP when you are satisfied and full

This weight loss system is about re-educating your body; learning to listen to it and in doing so losing weight and inches so forget diets, they may work for a while, but they aren't permanent solutions. The Paul McKenna system works and is easy to maintain.

I've C&P'd our previous threads links as they are helpful.

Here is the book on AMAZON which is all you need to get started!

Morning everyone,

Thanks Solo for posting that link It has made me so certain that PMK is just the right and normal way to loose weight and KEEP IT OFF which is my issue.

Psyched up for another good day!

BigBoobiedBertha · 06/01/2012 10:07

Blimey they are all nutters on that other thread! Spending all that money on sachets of powder and the odd massage - sounds like hell. It is basically a version of Lighter Life but instead of having therapy they have massages whilst they are being fleeced for their money.

Still, I can't help being a little bit Envy at losing 5 st in 5mths. Imagine, being at target weight for the start of summer. Of course chances that 5st would be back again by next Christmas but still. A girl can dream can't she?

Actually I think PMcK would call it 'visualisation'. Grin

BigBoobiedBertha · 06/01/2012 10:12

By the way, loved OMGPeople's comment (and her name). Did you notice she was studiously ignored? She isn't one of us is she?

I can imagine ppeat striding on there and giving them a piece of her mind but I suppose she would mention PMcK and I reckon she would have used her own name too!Smile

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2012 10:19

Welcome babysSmile Solo there are some real weirdos about aren't there? fancy spending all that and the weight goes straight back on MORE which is bound to happen DUH

Ref. children dieting; our DS was a chub at 9 or 10 but is now a 6ft. slim man, I NEVER forced my DC's to eat or used food as a reward (well i tried not toBlush.MIL was OBSESSED with food and of course overweight (but they'd been through two W.Wars so it's understandable) and she used to sit and watch us all eat Sunday lunch (not eating herself 'cos she'd "picked " while cooking and had stomach problems unsurprisingly) she also gave our DCs "jam juice" Think about it Shock and say 'don't tell yr mum'. There are genetic factors to take into account as well with all of us.

Yes to the PMk way of eating for EVERYONE!!!!!

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2012 10:31

BTW morning all Smile But oddly our oldest DD became chubby at puberty and continued to be until she dieted herself at uni. I never said anything but she still has a complex although very slim now. Our middle DD was the opposite and still has issues (she introduced me to P.M. but won't do it herself! preferring to do Atkins which has meant that she's now bigger than shes ever been )Sad

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2012 10:40

ThanksBB LOL!!! I sometimes think that it's just not worth going onto those weirdo threads though is it??They are like religious fundamentalists as you say they won't listen anyway !!!!

BigBoobiedBertha · 06/01/2012 11:25

No you are right ppeat. What surprised me about that thread was that there was hardly anybody who actually said it was all nonsense. Normally there are several people who say what a crock it all is and then they get in a barney with the people who think it is the best thing since sliced bread, but there was nothing like that at all. Clearly the rest of us can see they are all too far gone on the route to madness to do anything about it.

It was interesting that I don't recognise a single name from that thread too which I find weird. Makes me wonder about whether it is a bit of marketing ploy........

BigBoobiedBertha · 06/01/2012 11:43

For those of you who have the time and want to oogle at him apparently Paul McKenna is on Loose Women today. No idea what time it except it is lunchtime-ish. Just seen the ad from his FB page

I suspect he will be talking about his new programme for improving your memory but still might be worth a look if you have the telly on then.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/01/2012 12:24

BBB - I did wonder that, it was like a strange cult and I could swear that I've never seen any of those people post on any other threads on MN. I actually laughed out loud when OMG was ignored so entirely, it was a real fingers in ears moment!

lalalalalalalalalalaaaa - we can't heeeeaaaar you! GrinGrin

Feeling better about all this today. The tree is down and so it is no longer allowable to eat unnecessary yummy things. My body shall be as austere as my living room Wink

Solo · 06/01/2012 12:52

PMK is on Loose Women?!! Grin Thanks BB, I just dashed downstairs to see him, but I've now missed 20 minutes of it, so I'm going to watch it on the +1 to be absolutely certain I don't miss him Blush.

Yes to that poster being ignored and I didn't recognise any of the names on there either! very odd! Hmm

Solo · 06/01/2012 13:01

I'm going to post on the thread! thought I'd do this:

OMGpeople I'm with you re paying the equivalent of 2 months (of my) mortgage in a week!!!, to starve yourself and have a massage now and again. I'm doing the Paul McKenna and lost 2 stones very quickly last year. If anyone fancies joining us on our thread, please do. You can take a 6 month holiday in Oz with what you save after losing your weight the healthy way!

Solo · 06/01/2012 13:02

Actually! my mortgage isn't that low! it should read a month.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 06/01/2012 13:15

at 6 month holiday in Australia Grin

I bet you don't get any acknowledgement!!

Solo · 06/01/2012 13:25

I've just been going through the names on that thread and the only ones that have posted anything at any other time were the OP and SmileyMylee, so I think that BBB is right. Maybe the OP was genuine but I reckon that loads of people associated with the 'plan' have jumped on to promote it. I don't think I'm going to bother posting on there...I think I might even report the thread actually.

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2012 13:27

I suppose Iam a relative newbie to MN have such things actually happened when a whole thread is hijacked by advertisers???? Shock Shall we all go on it to SPOIL hehehehe.?

Oh Bux Dh is in with the T.V. (he works from home it's his office) I think Loose Women is repeated early evening though isn't it?

ppeatfruit · 06/01/2012 13:31

Yes go on Solo!!!

Solo · 06/01/2012 13:34

LW is on at 13:30 Shock now!! on +1 Cable chanel is 114...see you after PMK Grin

HeyNonnyNo · 06/01/2012 14:17

Just checking in. Not bad progress here. I've realised that instead of wolfing meals, I can use the hours spent mopping up spilt milk, retrieving thrown sandwiches, helping baby drink out of his cup, persuading toddler to sit down nicely to assess my hunger levels and decide whether I need to eat more. Had about half the amount of porridge this morning.

I agree that thread sounds well dodgy.

MrsMeow · 06/01/2012 18:28

Hi everyone :) I wondered if you'd mind if I joined you on here? I've been 'Pauling' again since 1st Jan and am determined to lose the weight this time. I'd like to lose about two stones if possible.

I have tried the cd before on and off, but always half heartedly I think, so it's never worked for me. I hope it does this time!

Looking forward to chatting to you all.

stripygiraffe · 06/01/2012 18:41

Welcome Mrs

Well I had a great day today!

  1. I had a homemade wrap with salami and crunchy salad in it. It really holds up to all that chewing and stays crunchy and tasty to the end. Normal bread goes like paste.
  1. I have some rocky road bites that someone made us for Christmas. For two days running I have chosen one as a snack. Taken one bite and then FORGOTTEN TO EAT THE REST!!! Unheard of!
  1. I bought myself some yummy crunchy cereal for breakfast so I don't have to have bread. I was hungry when the kids had dinner so I had a bowl - a much smaller bowl than usual. Ate it slowly, chewed etc but I must have gone too far and I am stuffed! No way I can eat my dinner yet. I never thought I'd be one of those people who say that!
  1. Last but not least: my friend weighed me today and I've lost another 1.5lb. That's 5.5lbs in 3 weeks doing PMK. 36.5lbs to go.

Yay!! Love PMK!

MardyBra · 06/01/2012 18:44

Chinese takeaway tonight. Normally I eat my own weight in prawn crackers before I start. Let's see how I get on...

HeyNonnyNo · 06/01/2012 22:21

Evening all. Not a bad day until this evening when it all hit the fan. DS (7m) refused v loudly to sleep until 9.30, so when dinner happened I was ravenous, collapsed in front of tv and ate mindlessly and possibly too much. Then to compound awfulness, DH and I shared some chocolate ice cream! Was v yum, so at least Paul McK would be proud of me enjoying it. Onwards and upwards, tomorrow is another day.

Solo · 07/01/2012 00:40

Stripy your post has made me smile!! good for you Grin

How did you do Mardy?

No matter HNN try to do better tomorrow :)

Solo · 07/01/2012 00:42

Ooops! meant to say Welcome to MrsMeow, come on in and make yourself comfortable :)

ppeatfruit · 07/01/2012 08:10

Yes welcome mrsmeow i like that name it reminds me we have added (well they added themselves actually) to the one cat we bought with us 3 'yard cats' who meow at us through the window for food every day.

solo i saw P.M. yesterday on ITV 2 he's still cute Grin Don't quite know why he's on a different subject though, he could write another on the diet we're on couldn't he? BTW Je n'aime pas JSP.
