Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

Will pm cheese my results for this week, but can mention here that I got slimmer of the month for November in my class Grin.

grinningbee · 07/12/2011 00:30

Pixie Very wild Xmas Grin

CSWS Congrats on the slimmer of the month! And yay for all the evenings out. Happy anniversary too. Xmas Smile

Dd woke at 10.30, just as we were going to turn in (early for a change). Ended up being a little sick after I gave her some more calpol.

Ds has been awake for an hour, very very hot but has been bfing. Won't settle and started to climb over me, so I've brought him out and dosed him up again too. Dh was very rude about him, and I told him he wasn't being fair. ds can't help being poorly.

Looks like no playgroup tomorrow for dd, and no sleep for me tonight. Hurrah.

Cheese I wish I knew the answer to the sleep problem. It is beyond grim. I haven't had a full night since ds was born, and a bit before then too. I am very very tired.

grinningbee · 07/12/2011 07:51

Morning

Yep, last night was exactly as expected Xmas Sad. And dd is still being sick this morning too, poor lamb. Currently has her head in my lap.

So... today will be made up of washing, dettol and spongebob! Ds still sleeping thankfully, but later I shall need to try and stop him from bugging his sister.

Food for the day...

Should there be an appetite today it wil be:

Weetabix and a banana
The usual
Quorn chilli and rice

Cheeseandbiscuits · 07/12/2011 08:02

Don't worry csws I'd never do it! It's just that my return to work is looming and the thought of that combined with 3 hrs sleep is horrifying. Anyway, DD slept for 12 hours solid and I had 9. It feels good. Sorry bee sounds like another rough old night. How are they both now?
We ended up having beef pie and mash last night - yep man food. DH was in charge of dinner!

Congrats csws! great news. Enjoy all your nights out, v jealous!
And well done on pizza avoidance pixie.
B: melon and ff yog
L: eggs on toast with baked beans
D: dh is working late so something easy like stirfry!

Pm your stats, it's thr DOD!

grinningbee · 07/12/2011 08:31

9 hours sleep Xmas Shock . Nah, you deserve it Xmas Smile. Bet you feel almost human again! Now, what was the secret?

Lol at man food Xmas Grin. Dd is now 2.8, and ds is 12 months. Dd is almost alseep again now, which can only be a good thing. Ds also sleeping still. I hope this is just a 24 hour thing. My poor washing machine (already on its last legs) may just give up the ghost. Not to mention the leccy bill from tumble drying... eeeek.

SlinkyB · 07/12/2011 09:37

Morning all. Geez bee it never rains in your house does it? Poor things, hope everyone is soon on the mend and unsympathetic dh apologises for being rude in the night.

YY, congrats CSWS on Slimmer of the Month! And on 11 years of marriage too Xmas Grin.

Gain for me this week, not surprising given I've been off-plan for about two weeks now. Just can't seem to be bothered any more. I'll continue trying (and failing) to be good before Xmas, but can just see me starting back up again in January now.

Hoping the stress of returning to work/ds starting nursery/moving house will shed a few post-Xmas pounds! Although looks like we won't be moving until Feb now, as our stupid vendors haven't even given their tenants the required two months notice yet! (they're moving back into another house they already own). We had agreed on a completion date of 16 Jan weeeeeeeks ago, as that's the date our buyer agreed on. He actually wanted us out in November, so fingers crossed this doesn't anger him too much and he pulls out Hmm.

Right, have a good day all.

grinningbee · 07/12/2011 12:02

Oh, don't feel sorry for us. We're only going through now what others went through/will be going through when littlies start going to nursery or playgroup etc.

Anyway, little folks seem a bit brighter now. Both had a little breakfast (Dd insisted), and so far, so good. I've also been distracting her by having a go at making some salt dough decorations. Never done it before, so I shall let you know if they were any good when they come out of the oven! The garlic press may never be the same again Xmas Grin

The mixture I used (should anyone else fancy a try) was 2 cups of plain flour, 1 cup of salt and 1 cup of water. That made a lot of dough, so half is in clingfilm in the fridge.

Note to self though - making salt dough with lots of small cuts on your hands is "interesting".

Xmas Grin
grinningbee · 07/12/2011 12:08

Oh, and Slinky it sounds like you have a very stressful time coming up! Hope it all works out ok with the house for you.

pixiestix · 07/12/2011 12:09

Morning DoDers,

Glad they are a bit perkier Bee. The salt dough making sounds fun but might need to wait until next Xmas in our house. T just tries to eat everything in sight. Its getting very boring. We tried out her new aquadoodle this morning and it had to be put away after ten minutes because she just kept chewing the pens. Angry Soooo bored and at a complete loss what to do with her!

Slinky at least if you are trying then any gain is going to be less than what would have been if you had just gone all out binging? Wink

Probably going to be a gain for me next week by the look of the scales Sad Delayed cake retention. Boo.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 07/12/2011 13:33

I gained too! Not much, think its the stress of inlaws staying that drove me to open the Christmas shortbread. I am not really going to worry too much about SW from now on. We are away at Centerparcs next weekend with my family so doubt that will be SW friendly! However, I am going to try and make sensible choices and exercise. I have booked the gym for tomorrow and twice next week plus I am going to do a zumba class at centerparcs. THat should help balance things up, right?

bee glad the little ones are perkier. It sounds like the salt dough was successful. I agree with pixie we will save that one till next year.

pixie I know what you mean about thinking of things to do. I gets bored of her toys pretty quickly at the moment and all she wants to do is stand and walk holiding onto me. It gets a bit tedious after a while. Still, we are heading out for a coffee with some antenatal mates later. At least we will be out and about. I am starting to look forward to returning to work!

pixiestix · 07/12/2011 13:35

Buggeration. Angry

I had super noodles for lunch as I remembered them as being about 5.5 syns so I thought they were bad without being hellish. Just looked them up and they are 10 syns! Angry Thats today bolloxed then. Where the hell the figure 5.5 came from I don't know. Grrrr.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 07/12/2011 13:42

Urgh thats annoying pixie, can you take T for a long walk to burn someof it off and make you feel better?

I have just flicked through the new SW mag. There is a lady in there who lost 1stone something in 1 year and 7months. Now, I have only been doing this for 6 months or so and some of us even less and we have already lost more than that. So Well Done Us!

And i am def not trying to justify that its OK to be lame for a couple of months and then restart in Jan!

Hedgepig · 07/12/2011 14:01

grr Pixie that is a pain, the syn values have probably changed since you looked it up. If you want something like that in the cupboard the MugShots seen to between 0 and 2 sysns.

Hedgepig · 07/12/2011 14:21

don't know if anyone is interested by the SW phone App for iphone and android has been re-released with a syn calculator, seems to work on Android OK Grin

LakeFlyPie · 07/12/2011 15:23

Afternoon all Smile

Still here, haven't managed to do my November bootcamp but still have a size 12 in my sights.

Not sure why I have been so silly and self sabotaged at every move the last few weeks.
I go back to work after 12 months mat leave next week so days (or the 3 working ones at least) will have a bit more structure which always helps.
I'll be back on the payroll too and intend to join a gym so I can start swimming again, which I love.

Have gained this week and am not surprised as my spare tyre has made a reappearance, it had almost gone this time last month Sad

Anyway, good to see everyone's progress, well done to all entering the 10 stone zone, I'll join you one day soon.

Commiserations to all the sleep deprived folk, I too haven't had longer than a 4 hour stretch of undisturbed sleep in the last 13 months.
I recall that one day they just sleep through, but you don't because you go and check on them every few hours to see why they haven't woken up!

Anyway food:

BF: Apple, FF yog, muesli
L: Turkey and veg soup, cheese on toast
D: Roast chicken, veg etc
Snacks (which is where it's all been going wrong these last few weeks) JUST FRUIT

Will endeavour to check in a bit more often in the run up to christmas to try and limit any festive damage.

grinningbee · 07/12/2011 15:37

Pixie That's rotten about the noodles.

Um... is anyone going to keep me company for the next two weigh ins in my attempt for the Xmas goal, or is everyone stopping early now? If I stop now I shall be doomed, and probably put a stone back on over the next 4 weeks. Not only do I have an enormous box of Xmas shortbread lurking in a cupboard, we have choccies too. Not got any mince pies yet, and I have yet to make the cake. But stopping now would mean starting on things like wine and Baileys.... so I need saving! I am within a gnats whisker of getting to that goal.

Just taken the salt dough decorations out of the oven. I am a very happy bunny, and can't wait to get them decorated. With dd, obviously... Xmas GrinXmas Wink

Hedgepig · 07/12/2011 15:48

Bee I've not given up yet, I will not get to my target which was to be at target of 10.7lb but my new realistic Christmas goal is to be below 11st (I've only got 2lbs to get there so I should manage it so long as I do not go anywhere near a tin of open Roses! Come on Buddy we can do it Grin

Hedgepig · 07/12/2011 15:49

whos doing the list this week?

LakeFlyPie · 07/12/2011 15:51

Just pm'd cheese with DOD stats, hope that's right today.
Realised I've maintained my previous gain Confused so could be worse.

bee I'm definitely up for keeping on with the weigh in's as damage limitation method if nothing else, your progress as ever is storming so you simply mustn't gain a stone over christmas Xmas Smile

grinningbee · 07/12/2011 16:18

Thanks Hedge and Lake Xmas Smile. Hedge I'll hide my tin of Celebrations along with your Roses. Did I mention the chocolate covered marzipan logs and chocolate reindeer that are also languishing in the fridge?

1.5lbs in 2 weeks. That's what I need to do. But OMG I could murder a bit of chocolate!

SlinkyBells · 07/12/2011 16:33

I'm not giving up before Xmas bee, will still WI each week. Guess I've just given up on the 10st 10 target as know, any severe sickness bug aside,it's not achievable now. You're doing amazingly though, so will grab pom-poms and cheer you on with all the others!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 07/12/2011 19:02

T'is me hedge.

Oh I need a festive name

I am also going to weigh in but I am not expecting much. I am hoping it keeps me on the straight and narrow!

Will wait before I do the list

SlinkyBells · 07/12/2011 19:34

I've just watched the last ever episode of Frost, and cried my eyes out. I'm such a softy Xmas Grin Watching Nigella's Xmas now and dribbling at the rocky road she just made. Food tv before bed is not a good idea...
