Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

Adding myself to thread. Sitting in vets, appointment was meant to be 10 mins ago and there is 1 more person in front of me Angry

grimRiaper · 12/10/2011 17:31

Hi. Liking new thread.

Haven't got a DoD result as didn't have time to WI this morning.

also lacking in sleep. DH and I were a bit late to bed as I needed a big wind down after college, and I woke about 4am in a tizz about collegeBlush. That was it until I fell back into a nice deep sleep at getting up time.

am hitting tesco shortly when I take DS1 to band rehersal. would rather sit on the sofa and order it from ASDA whilst drinking a nice cheeky white (but I have none, so have to go to the shop for that!)

our school are raising money for Africa as part of their harvest celebrations pushka. KS1 are doing a sing-a-long and KS2 are walking into the next town and back (which is equal to the distance some families walk to get water in Africa apparently - I was listening in assembly on MondayWink). Had an OK day today, though got firmly put in my place by a TA who apparently didn't trust me to report on a minor incident to the class teacher . The walk has been postponed until next week due to rain.

Looking forward to Midsomer Murders later. A nice bit of bonkersness to sooth my troubled mindWink

Cheeseandbiscuits · 12/10/2011 17:48

Would you likie a sponsor Ria? Glad you had a decent day - don't take those comments to heart, just brush them off!
Am so pissed off that I caved and had a brownie

Well done on the losses everyone! And fab that there were no gainers this week.

Oh cheese, why on earth did you have a white chocolate brownie?! I'm much more of a dark chocolate and hazlenut girl Grin. Maybe you had it today because you knew you were the furthest point away from the next weigh-in? that's my excuse for any Wednesday disasters. Plenty of time to burn it off, don't fret.

I'm excited as my brother (whom I haven't seen since April, when he moved to N.Yorks) has booked a caravan down in Devon, and we're going to visit him and his little boy weekend after next! However...Devon? Home of Cream Teas, clotted cream, fudge etc? Could be worse I suppose, could be Cornwall (pasties and cider added to that list) ha ha! Will have to show mucho restraint, which will be veh veh hard when in 'holiday' mood with a couple of guys who have no weight issues Envy.

kid · 12/10/2011 20:11

Hope you enjoy meeting up with your brother Slink
I used to see my sister every single day as we worked together but she moved recently so now we only see each other 1 a month or so.

To celebrate losing 3lb this week, I've just had some chocolate Grin

Cheeseandbiscuits · 12/10/2011 21:34

Breaking news!!

littlepushka loss 2lbs this week, Start weight; 12st 3lb, Current weight 11st 2lb total loss 1stone 1lbs . 20lbs to lose by Xmas.

Sparky 1 stone sticker to pushka Well done!

LittlePushka · 12/10/2011 21:54

Having a right laugh at mushy peas being Mr Bee's veg quotient Grin

Hedge - respect for the crunchie situation, my lovely - you rock!

Slinky,...you do not have nuffink,..you is Royal, Wink and when one is royal, one has staff to whom skills are delegated as that is what they are for. I could be the Royal Plaiter for you Grin

Hia lake fly nice to have you back in class: summary of situation

Cheese has been very poorly and now DD is not well.

Bee has not slept for two months

Kid still loves her job

Ria is doing coursework and battling horrid colleagues and threatening to do SW one of these days

Slinky is looking for a new palace in which to live and we are all concerned for her as she has a friend who is tragicallyvery ill and slinky is very sad (and will be sadder) about that. ,

Hedgepig is making cakes with courgette instead of fat...(but I could have dreamed that as it sounds a bit too trippy to be real) but otherwise she is her normal lovely self

The rest of us are all popping in and out of class and largely losing but there may be a bit of Bootcamp going on in November as we want to reach some serious personal bests by Xmas.

kid · 12/10/2011 22:12

good summary pushka - no mention of all my exercise though but yes I do still love my job Grin

Slinkenstein · 12/10/2011 22:28

Awesome round-up Pushka, and bloody well done on your 1 stone sticker Old Bean!

The palace house we went to look at today is this one www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-18707361.html

Ok, I'm drunk dreaming. But a girl's allowed to dream, right?

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 12/10/2011 22:31

I don't like the black and white curtains so I will have to give it a miss Grin

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 12/10/2011 22:33

what about this one (it's 7 bed when you read the blurb not 3 as the heading says. here

Cheeseandbiscuits · 12/10/2011 22:37

Sorry hedge I put an offer in for that house yesterday! T'is mine Grin

Slinkenstein · 12/10/2011 22:39

Love that the first two 'key features' are listed as: North Barn and South Barn. You think it would appeal to a certain type of couple?! Or would you have the 'staff' in one barn? Or the kids? Oooh, the options are endless.

Slinkenstein · 12/10/2011 22:41

P.S pretty sure that was my first ever link on MN . Couldn't quite work out how you clever lot do that 'here' thing though .

kid · 12/10/2011 22:46

you do that here part by leaving 1 space after the link and typing your wording for the link (so 'here' or whatever) and then finish with the ]]
Its really easy, honest. Plus there are instructions on the bottom of the page!

well done on doing the link, there will be no stopping you from now on

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 12/10/2011 22:55

I'm really liking the idea of several barns, I could put DS2 in one and then I might et some sleep Grin only joking!

LittlePushka · 12/10/2011 23:06

Kid we are all ignoring your MASSIVE exercise drive because it makes you class swot (and we all know that we ourselves have to actually remove the DVD from the boxand shove it in the disc drive before it can even begin to count as doing exercise). Are you training for the Olympics?

What is scan bran?

How many bananas in one day is too many?

Do you think that holding your dog in your arms like a baby and rocking him is Extreme Broodiness? (Or is it only considered to be extreme when you swaddle him at the same time...Confused

LittlePushka · 12/10/2011 23:08

These are questions for cheese and bee and anyone else on the night shift to ponder at 3am Grin

LittlePushka · 12/10/2011 23:09

Sshh,...the dog has gone over!

kid · 12/10/2011 23:22

I thinking rocking your dog in your arms is fine as long as you don't dress them up like a baby too!

What dog have you got!
I've got a springer. The vet gave him 2 injections tonight and he has to go back in 2 weeks time. He has been licking his paw excessively recently and it's now red raw. The vet said if he keeps licking it, he'll have to wear an Elizabethan collar. I think he heard as he hasn't licked it since.
Thank God we have insurance. Tonights bill was over £150 plus it's possibly going to cost another £100 when we go back. I've paid the excess and the insurance will pay vet directly.

I think I'll skip gym tomorrow night, don't want you lot thinking I'm being an angel by exercising so much. Besides, I want to stay at home and play with my new phone Grin

I have a serious amount of housework to do too. Still got shopping from yesterday to put away. Tonight, dd had to wash up some forks so we could eat dinner Blush

LittlePushka · 12/10/2011 23:40

Perish the thought of my dogs in frocks! I have a JRT and a lakeland/border/mongrel effort - who is the sort of dog that animal charities use to rell in the cash. Not the emaciated, ill treated sort of look you understand (not the "before"photos)...he is the sort of scruffy cute dog who makes you shell out cash at first sight.

He used to lick his paws horribly but we worked out it was reaction to Baker's Complete dog food. He eats Iams now and only licks his paws raw if he has gotten roadsalt on them.

He once took fright at my other dog in a collar and would not come in the house until it was removed. My DH sometimes does that with coats I buy....

Hey kid, have you got an iphone?
