Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

Bee look away now if you really don't want to know your ideal weight range Grin - but for someone who is 5ft 3 it is roughly 8 stone 1 to 10 stone 1. I tend to think that the lower end of the range is just bloody ridiculous and aim to just be within it so you would only need to lose 1 stone 6 to be there! Not too bad considering how well you are doing!

Sorry you had such a crappy morning. FWIW I don't think you were "stupid" to say what you did - you were trying to protect both him and your children. It needed saying so don't feel bad.

Urgh at the 4am start Ria. Did you get your email in the end?

I'm working today so trying to avoid the evil empire Starbucks just opposite and convince myself that Green Tea is even yummier than a Christmassy creme brulee latte with whipped cream on Confused

SlinkyB · 03/12/2011 14:08

Afternoon all,

bee I don't think you were stupid to say what you did either, just speaking the truth really. I think he was a bit daft to suggest taking the dc out on his own if he's having episodes at the moment.

I'm soooo glad I don't like coffee, 'cos if I did I just know I'd want to try every single different type offered in places like Costa/Starbucks!

Went to the Christmas markets in Bath last night with a friend, which was lovely especially the wine, sausage and stollen. Didn't buy anything apart from food and drink though - d'oh! It's all veh nice, but veh pricey with it.

I know I'm heading for a gain this week, must get my butt in gear. Having a lazy weekend, which is lush, and out for Sunday lunch with friends tomorrow.

Hope you're all having good Saturdays, and that your email was good news ria.

grinningbee · 03/12/2011 19:51

Thanks guys. He's got over it now.

Yes Ria, hope the email was good news!

Slinky Mmmmm more Xmas markets! I lurve stollen, so will be having that Xmas week.

Pixie I cannot ever imagine being 8 stone anything! Thanks for looking it up though. I'm aiming initially for 10 stone, with the thought of maybe trying to go down to 9st 7, but we'll see.

As you can guess, we haven't gone out Sad. Our babysitter let us down 90 minutes before we were due to leave the house. Annoying, as she knew this morning and didn't tell us, but never mind. Dh has gone out for a Chinese instead Xmas Blush. Oh, and my stupid period has turned up 5 days early with no warning! I am seeing either a maintain or a gain coming up...

Been an interesting day in a trying sort of way, and I am astounded that the family sized bar of dairy milk is still untouched in the fridge. Been there just over a month too Xmas Grin

grinningbee · 04/12/2011 07:55

Morning gang!

Hope you all had lovely evenings. Not much going on here, quiet morning, then a trip down to the village hall for the Xmas fair. Going to support the playgroup stall by buying a couple of bits (hopefully not what I took!) and dh is also having a stall to try and clear some of our old market stock.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, fruit and a yogurt
Left over sweet chilli chicken and veggies

Everything I touch today seems to be covered in encrusted goo. Seriously, both dc have covered everything from door handles to the tv. Yuck. Thank goodness for wet wipes!

grinningbee · 05/12/2011 08:02

Good morning everyone!

Is there anyone else out there? Getting a bit lonely in here...

Ah well. Monday morning routine has kicked in, so off out in a bit to take dd to playgroup. Might go to soft play again this afternoon.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, fruit and a yogurt
Beef rogan josh with broccoli

Huffpot · 05/12/2011 08:26

Morning grinningbee
we have no routine at the moment as both my DS's are still not 100% so prob no playgroups for us again today

Breakfast here will be the same as you and the rest of the day is unplanned - I must start planning more but we're a bit up in the air here as DP hasn't been paid from work for 6 weeks now - hopefully that'll come in the next day or two and I can do a big shop sigh

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/12/2011 09:43

morning

I'm here!
Rubbish about the pay huffpot hope it gets sorted.

I've had another Crap few days but the inlaws are driving me to distraction. Thy are leaving today so I can start cooking our normal food!

B: fruit and ff yog
L: m&s paella soup (?syns)
D: praw stirfry

Got to go DD crying

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/12/2011 13:23

The soup was 8syns, I should have checked before I shoved it in my gob Sad. It was delish though. I was hoping to be syn free today, ah well.
Hope everyone is having a good day, we're off for I swimming lesson!

Hedgepig · 05/12/2011 14:58

hello :: stager in:: been away for the weekend I have eaten and drunk far far too much and have been carb craving (and eating) cos I got drunk. Had a fab time though

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/12/2011 19:13

Glad you had a good time hedge. I'm trying to convince myself that I really do want prawn stirfry for dinner! And not a takeaway!

Hedgepig · 05/12/2011 21:40

DH is away and I just found a chicken korma ready meal in the freezer Blush

grinningbee · 05/12/2011 22:11

Is it still in the freezer Hedge? Or in your tummy Xmas Wink

Cheese hope things are a bit calmer if you have the place back to yourself again.

It looks like a gain in the morning. Damn. I've turned into a bloody yo-yo!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 05/12/2011 22:26

I had the stirfry and it was yum. I have also declined a gin tonight

Don't worry about the gain bee, I find December a tricky time of year at the best of times. I was norty earlier and had a shortbread biscuit

I feel huge at the moment, need a good week just to make myself feel better. THing have indeed quietened down for a few days - let Christmas shopping commence!

Hedgepig · 05/12/2011 22:57

In my tum I'm afraid, didn't get the DCs to bed until 8.30 and then I couldn't be bothered to.cook

grinningbee · 06/12/2011 08:04

Morning!

Don't worry about it Hedge. My two were also up until then... grrr. Luckily I had the pot of curry on the go. It tasted really good after 3 hours on the simmer. Luckily it's one of those dinners that will wait until you are ready!

Cheese you do need a halo for turning down a medicinal gin Wink

Things are starting to get insanely busy here. Today I am off to see some relatives that I haven't seen for about a year and take them their presents, then I have to hot foot it back again and take ds for his 12 month jabs. To balance it up I am also having my flu jab. Only down side is that dd will be with me and see us both getting jabbed.... if she's anything like last time when it happened she will be crying more than ds. Not looking forward to that.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Lord knows - probably nothing as I'll be driving
Left over beef rogan josh and veggies

SlinkyB · 06/12/2011 09:02

I am SO weak. I've basically gone 'oh, fuck it, it's December, may as well throw the diet completely out of the window' Blush. Just finding I've got so much going on socially, and I have zero will-power. Each morning I've woken up and told myself I'll be good, but find myself troughing away all day - whoops! It's the age-old problem of being within touching-distance of target, and relaxing just a little toooo much.

cheese well done on gin avoidance, you are a stronger woman than me. Sorry to hear there's no improvement on dd's sleep Sad. Bet you're glad inlaws have gone now too.

bee Best of luck with hectic day and jabs. I grew up with a Mum who injects herself three times a day (diabetic, not a junkie!) so have no fears or problems with needles thank goodness. Hoping I've passed this onto ds as he only whimpered a tiny bit on one of his jabs, the rest he was all smiles! But then again, he didn't have a clue what was going on, will prob be a different story in Feb when he's 12 months old !!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/12/2011 09:35

Hola,

Another crappy night here. I have no idea what to do now. Controlled crying isn't working, bringing her into bed doesn't really work as she seems to think its playtime despite melying next to her but ignoring her. Maybe CIO? Seems mean though - esp as I am wondering about the 9 month sleep regression / seperation anxiety.

Slinky I am in your boat. I just can't stick to it at the moment! I haven't been to the gym in 3 weeks. So Ihave no advice for you, only sympathy.

bee good luck with jabs. Make sure you eat lunch if you are being jabbed too, you don't want to end up on the floor due to lack of sugar.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/12/2011 09:36

oh yeh food:
B: porridge with 1/2 skim milk, 1/2 water
L: will try and make lentil soup
D: lamb and spinach curry or chilli con carne

pixiestix · 06/12/2011 12:48

Hello all!

I?ve had a friend staying for the weekend and have been soooo off-track with the diet but weighed this morning and the damage doesn?t seem too bad so far. Hopefully the chocolate cake, ice-cream, kebab and many, many bottles of wine won?t make too much of a difference at weigh in on Thursday Blush

Hope DS?s jabs went ok Bee. Was he having the MMR as well as the 12 month booster ones? We went through it all about two weeks ago so I am still waiting for the rubella and mumps parts to kick in Sad Miserable, but necessary.

Poor sleepless Cheese. Sad How long has this been going on for now? I?m not sure what CIO means, but the only thing that works for us when T gets into a pattern of sleeplessness is a mixture of CC and rocking and hugs. CC for when she is only moderately whingy and the rocking and hugs for when she is hysterical. Its so personal to each baby though, there is no advice to give, just masses of sympathy.

Slinky how far off your target are you now?

I?m not sure what I?m eating today. I stuffed myself so badly this weekend that I really feel like a food-free day but I know thats against all SW principles. Added to that I seem to have woken up in Mother Hubbards house and all my cupboards are bare so I?m going to have to stir my stumps and go and buy some food. Laaaaaaaazy.

SlinkyB · 06/12/2011 15:11

Well, I started off at 12st 11lbs, and last week was 10st 13.5, so only 2.5lbs off my 2st award, and 3.5lbs from my 10st 10lb Christmas target! Always seem to self-sabotage when so close to a target.

grinningbee · 06/12/2011 17:13

Hello again.

The house smells of sick Xmas Sad Ds started it this morning just before going out, but I thought it was because he had overeaten. Went to see the relatives and had a fab time.

Got home an hour before jab time, and then dd promptly threw up (I caught it... yuck yuck yuck). Grim. Had to cancel the jabs until Monday as I have no-one to watch her for me, and I didn't want to risk ds having the jab today as it would seem it's a bug, although he has been fine since this morning. Think it was the booster today, and the mmr next time.

Now he is grizzling and dd is asleep on the carpet with her bum in the air.

My aunt fed us, but it was all sausage rolls, scotch eggs, crisps, cheese and cream cake. I had half a scotch egg, one mini sausage roll... and a small slice of cake. Boo. But up to then I hadn't eaten anything and it's all I've had today. Good job too as picking partially digested grapes out of the washing was not nice!

Think I can guess the sort of night I'm having tonight...

pixiestix · 06/12/2011 19:25

Oh god Bee you never get a break do you?! I was coming on to whinge about my crappy day with my whingey DD but you win! Hope it is a shortlived bug and they are able to just sleep it off now Sad

I am manfully resisting the pizza place around the corner. I feel so bored and knackered - not really sure why pizza would solve that, but that is what my body is telling me it needs!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/12/2011 21:11

Ah rubbish bee. hope you get some rest tonight. I'm already in bed, I am whacked!
Did you resist pizza pixie?
Night all

pixiestix · 06/12/2011 22:47

I did! SW fry up and a Muller light - walk on the wild side or what?? Grin

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/12/2011 23:11

Oh cheese, not CIO, not at just 9 months. It's tiny really in the grand scheme of life. I do hope she settled better tonight for you.

Empathies bee on the vomit. Ds2 was sick first thing this morning and again at dinnertime, and has had grim nappies for a couple of days. I'm still not sure if it's a bug or because he accidentally had some dairy at a party on Sunday. Hmm

This is a really really busy week for us, so apols if I'm not on much or just reply to an odd comment here and there. Am actually out Thurs, Fri and Sat nights, which never happens! In fact dh and I are going out together (for 11th anniversary) for the first time since ds2 was born 17 months ago!!
