Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

I decided to have a look at my throat as its been sore on and off for a few weeks but very sore since Thursday. My tonsils are yellow Shock
I guess I should phone the Dr tomorrow to see if they.need to or can see me.
I feel a bit relieved tbh as i knew I felt ill but couldn't say what exactly was wrong with me.

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 18/10/2011 08:53

that sounds horrid Kid hope you can get an appointment .

I'm a bit viral and tired too which and keep falling off the the diet wagon nom nom nom Celebrations (only £5 for a huge box in Tesco)

grinningzombee · 18/10/2011 09:34

Good morning!

Kid I wonder if it's tonsillitus? That makes you feel really crap. Do get an appointment asap.

Hedge you naughty naughty woman!!! I am going to a big Tesco today, and I am going to be all on my own tonight (well, apart from dc) so the chocolate temptation is cruel Wink.

Slinky How did the house viewing go? Good luck with your buyer!

Cheese Did you go house hunting too? I think that Halloween costume is fab. I looked at it a couple of weeks ago in their shop Smile

Ria Keep clinging with those fingertips!

Oh, and Cheese yes, he really can drink that much on one of these days out. Thankfully I have only witnessed it a couple of times. I tell him not to come home now so that I don't have to drag the dc out to pick him up at silly o'clock, and so I don't have to deal with him in that state.

I am (weight wise) a happy bunny today. Nuff said Grin.

Food for the day. Could be interesting as himself is away tonight, but I will resist the temptation that Hedge has planted in my little brain Wink.

So:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, fruit and yogurt
Probably a jacket spud and beans

Must go now as there is an ominous smell coming from ds's rear end Grin

Hi all,

Hoping I can join in your thread, please. I'm going to my first SW class tonight. I'm a weightwatcher gold member (although slightly above at the moment) I lost over 5 stone with WW and have been maintaining (with the odd blip) since March. But I got my BFP and I'm 6 weeks pg and SW is the only 'diet' which is ok to follow during pg.

I was going to stick with WW (doing it at home) but I am absolutely starving most days and end up going well over my PP. Please tell me that SW is more flexible as I could eat for Ireland at the moment!

I'm a bit nervous about changing from WW to SW so any tips etc would be great. Thanks.

Chat soon, B. x

grinningzombee · 18/10/2011 15:55

Boo to the nightmare Ria, it's horrible when you get one that stays with you for the day.

Ds woke up last night when we went to bed... and stayed in bed with me until 5am when he decided it was time to get up. I am knackered today. However, I did manage to avoid the big tins of sweeties in Tesco (thank you Hedge!!) I have not bought anything at all treat wise for tonight on my own, and I got the dc a nice toy to share. Also managed to get a pair of curtains for £16, so am pleased.

H is currently on hour 4 of drinking, but that's ok. He's there, I am here and watching dd play with the new toy. I'm dreading bedtime, but hopefully they'll be good for me .

I didn't bother calling the Dr, its so hard to get an appointment (unless you book an appointment 2 weeks before you actually get ill). If you don't work its fine as they will call you within a 4 hour time block and then expect you pop in within the next 20 minutes or so which isn't suitable for me.

I'm on a school journey tomorrow so won't be able to do anything then either. I'm not going gym tonight, I know how much I hurt just from breathing normally. I'd hate to think of the pain after a 45 minute workout.

I am so angry at DDs school at the moment. They gave her a 1 hour detention but didn't inform me. All I knew was 50 minutes after school finished there was still no sign of her and she wasn't answering her phone. I drove to the school but didn't see her on the way so I phoned the school. Turns out she was on their detention list.
Apparently, they should have phoned me first to let me know. Well they bloody well didn't so I am on the war path now. I was a mixture of scared, upset, relieved and angry all within the space of a few seconds.
I'm just composing an email now as they are not getting away with this. They set the rules about giving 24 hours notice for detentions, so they should stick to it.
I have to take DD swimming now, would prefer not to but as I've paid for it I might as well and she does enjoy it.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/10/2011 20:08

Welcome birdie 5 stone is AMAZING! I am so impressed. Congrats on the pregnancy too. Are you doing Extra Easy?

House hunting was disappointing. Oh well, something will turn up.

Sorted my jobshare out so I am going back 3 days a week in Feb. Now to organise childcare.

Food has been good:
B: poached eggs on hobbit toast
L: LEft over stirfry
D: Chicken, prawn pasta in tomato sauce but I did add a teaspoon of philli and 2 teaspoons of olive oil so 9 syns.

bee hope you are doing OK. I found a box of chocs from last xmas today - very tempting!

grinningzombee · 18/10/2011 20:54

Welcome Birdie! And big congrats on the BFP and losing 5 stone! Good stuff Smile

I'm ok thanks Cheese. Just had spaghetti hoops on toast after getting the dc to bed. It's weird sitting here on my own, but I am getting very regular calls/texts... Hmm An hour ago someone had reached pint 21. I really hope ds sleeps through tonight, it would be lovely to have some proper kip.

OP posts:
grinningzombee · 18/10/2011 20:56

Oh, and step away from the Xmas choccies - I blame Hedge for putting the naughty thoughts into our heads today Wink.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/10/2011 21:13

Oh bee. I would just turn my phone off. I have my fingers crossed that you have a good nights sleep. DH is at work here and I am about to get the ironing board out.
I might have found another potential house, will call the estate agents tomorrow.

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/10/2011 21:39

cheese - 2 tsp of olive oil is 4 sins, so how can you be up to 9 sins by adding just 1 tsp of philli - surely it's not 5 sins per tsp?!

Welcome and congrats birdie. I haven't done ww so can't compare, but I did do SW whilst pregnant with my first, and no, you shouldn't be hungry, as you really can eat loads.

Who is doing the stats this week please?

What is hobbit toast? Confused

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/10/2011 21:59

Oh I think it is 8 syns then! Ha, thanks CSWS. Its those crap 400g slices of bread.
bee is doing that stats as I am out and about.

MadameBoo · 18/10/2011 22:06

Hey lovelies, I have decided to join WW tomorrow - had a bit of a change of mind from RC as a friend already goes, and I'd like some company. looking forward to it :)

Cheeseandbiscuits · 18/10/2011 22:07

Good luck Boo

MadameBoo · 18/10/2011 22:08

Ta Cheese - will have more to post about as I needed some direction!

grinningzombee · 18/10/2011 22:30

Good luck Boo.

Cheese ironing at this time of night? Are you still poorly??? Wink

Got another call not too long ago. He is pickled. He tells me he isn't, but that he's had 26 now. So, with a pint being about £3.25... I feel in no way guilty about spending £15 on the dc today.

I was looking at houses today. I'd have to go the shared ownership route, and found a new build 3 bed for £32500, 25% share. Looks lovely. Maybe I should start getting the odd lottery ticket.

OP posts:
MadameBoo · 18/10/2011 22:39

I bought a scratch card today. Won a £1. Hoped for a few more 0s!

grimRiaper · 18/10/2011 22:39

why does he think you want to know bee? really hope you get some lovely sleep cuddled up all snug with your DC.

welcome birdie, and good luck with WW boo.

WI tomorrow, will try and do so before school. SO looking forward to some wine tomorrow night. Winding down from college with a cup of tea isn't quite the same somehow.

Sponsored walk tomorrow, so at least I'll have burned off some of the wine before I drink itWink

MadameBoo · 18/10/2011 22:50

So shall I weigh myself first thing and then email you with it then bee? I hope you're ok by the way.

grinningzombee · 18/10/2011 22:56

Good luck tomorrow Ria!

I have no idea why he tells me. It certainly doesn't impress me (quite the opposite).

Boo I'm fine ta. Going to snuggle up with my quilt in a minute. If you have a look at last Wednesday, you can see the sort of info people give for weighing in. You can do as much or as little as you want. Once you've weighed in, just PM me the stats that you want to appear in the list. Does that make sense?

Right. Nighty night everyone, and good luck for Dod (TM) tomorrow.

OP posts:
MadameBoo · 18/10/2011 22:57

Makes perfect sense :) Night night!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 19/10/2011 08:26
