Morning Dod'ers!

Here's a nice new shiney list for when the old one is full.

Pull up a squishy chair and feel free to help yourselves to the Sw friendly snacks. Posters from the old room will be moved in shortly Wink.

hey, i posted a message but its vanished!

kid · 25/10/2011 23:04

Oh look, that one posted. Shame the other one with all the typing disappeared Angry

grimRiaper · 25/10/2011 23:34

welcome chips and good luck for your first day.

just spent ages doing an asda online shop. Am sure I could have driven to tesco and done it quicker myself. I still might as I haven't checked it out yet.

bedtime soon. need to confess to a treat-size crunchy with my cup of tea and painkillers. should be within syns though.

we had the most violent thunderstorm earlier.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 25/10/2011 23:50

Ooh day of doom tomorrow! Don't forget to PM me your stats.

Quick message on phone

kid · 25/10/2011 23:58

chips, feel free to but in at any time, I always do!
Actually, I'm not sure I should be here posting on the SW thread as I don't think anything SW has been consumed for days. Come to think of it, I did have some peas with my roast potatoes and slow cooked lamb, do they count? How about my kitkat, could I say those were my syns or do I have to declare my glass of wine as my syns? Grin

Needless to say, I am not weighing in tomorrow.
I did go gym tonight and I really enjoyed the class. I also did really well and only stopped for a drink when we were told we could so I guess I did pretty well.
On the 27th November, I am taking part in a 3 hour cardio combat class to help raise money for breast cancer research. I am not sure if I am dreading it or looking forward to the challenge!

grinningzombee · 26/10/2011 00:54

Welcome Chips! Not sure about using the Sw website by phone, but I'm an online member too. Best thing is to have a good play around on the website when you get a chance.

Kid, stop putting ideas of chocolate in my head! Wink

Well. Ds has been up for an hour, hence me being here at this stupid time. Joy. I'm hoping after teething powder and some porridge he will get tired soon... not holding my breath though Hmm

Good luck for DoD later everyone!

OP posts:
Slinkenstein · 26/10/2011 07:16

Nevermind chocolate, I've woken up, read this and now I fancy cheesy chips ! [hwink].

Good luck for DoD today all (seems to come around quicker and quicker I'm sure).

grinningzombee · 26/10/2011 08:46

Morning!

I feel like a proper zombie today. Ds woke at 11.45 and stayed awake for over 3 1/2 hours Angry. Then he woke again at 5.15 . Did go back to sleep but woke at 7. I can feel my eyeballs sagging!

Big food shop today. What a joy.

Oh, not food related, but if anyone shops in Matalan - they're selling children's winter coats on offer for £5 this week. I got ds a duffle coat yesterday that should have been £16! It's online too [[
www.matalan.co.uk/fcp/product/fashion-to-buy-online//Boys-Coat/42354&resultsPerPage=100&attrList=Dept,brand Here]]. I think they're selling quick, so going into the shop might be better.

Right. Food for the day:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast, fruit and yogurt
Either quorn chilli, or Shepherd's Lentil Pie

I'm going to try the Butter Chicken recipe this week. If it's any good, I'll post the recipe.

Good luck today everyone Smile

Morning all.

Its the DoD today, don't forget to message me your stats. Pleased with my weigh in as have struggled over the last couple of weeks.

bee poor you. Hope you can get some rest today.
Hiya Chips welcome to the team. How much are you hoping to lose?

Houses are going so quickly here, literally on for a day or 2. It is proving a nightmare and we need to get it sorted so I can organise childcare for DD.

Food:
B: weetabix (HEB) with skim milk (HEA)
L: Omelette and salad
D: Summer lamb stew and cous cous.
Snacks: ML yog and fruit

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/10/2011 10:17

Bad night here too bee. I think his 4th tooth might be on its way up (about time too at nearly 16 months).

B - rest of kedgeree and mango and melon
L - prob sausages (got the tesco ones that someone recommended), chips and some superfree veg, plus a kiwi
D - haven't even thought about it yet. Oh yes, maybe the minced beef hash from my new ee book.

grimRiaper · 26/10/2011 12:20

bad night here too. I am SO poorly. couldn't sleep and then sniffly and sneezing all night. Had just got settled and DH woke me up to tell me he'd lost 2lb.

am going to the seafront with Dsis and all the many children today. DS1 is not impressed. He is too old for cousins.

do any of you have a 14 yo DD? My niece is 14 in a couple of weeks, and I need an idea for a very budget present for her, but something of the right ageConfused DH says she is too old for me to paint her some bunting for her room.

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 26/10/2011 13:05

afternoon hiya Chips I share your pain with the SW website it needs a good kick up the bum imho. My friend is doing WW and their website seems much less clunky. You can get to the sysn online on a phone but I haven' tried the food diary. They have been promising a syns App for months now (iphone 1sts then Android) but still not available - right RANT OVER. One thing I have found useful in the food diary is the "add to favorites" check box when you add a food to the diary, then you don't have to look them up again just go to the favorites tab.

Good reminder about the 1/3 super free foods on the EE plan CSWS I think I have been slipping up on that a bit of later. The minced beef has thing for the EE book is nice.

DS2 is poorly today I was cleaning up sick at 5am, DH is looking after him today and I will stay at home tomorrow, so I best do some work. Cheese I will PM you later.

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 26/10/2011 15:49

Slinky I just saw on the web site 300g of the Covent Garden Minestrone soup is a HEb choice, so not free but not syns if you have it as your HEb

grinningzombee · 26/10/2011 16:37

Sorry more of you have had bad nights. And being woken by your dh to be told he'd lost weight?

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 26/10/2011 17:06

I am waiting for you! And any other stragglers...

Had too much coffee earlier. Haha. Might have Quorn sausage casserole tonight, not sure if I fancy lamb. And its easy as DH on late shifts so its just me

kid · 26/10/2011 17:10

Ria
I have a 12 year old DD who loves Hello Kitty. There are loasd of things you can which are Hello Kitty related in all price brackets. I guess you need to find out if there is a character she likes.
DD also loves reading so it would be quite easy to her get a set of books. Or stationery as she loves drawing/writing/playing schools.
Or, she is very into her mobile phone so again there are accessories that can be bought for that.(Fancy cases, jewel attachments etc)

I didn't WI in today. I didn't see the point as I have not been sticking to SW. Maybe I'll get stuck into it this week and will be pleased with next weeks WI? Thats providing I haven't done that much damage this week! Its so much harder being at home than being at work as the food is always there ready to munch on.

We ordered our new settee today, its gorgeous. Shame we have to wait until January for it to be delivered. Oh well, it will be worth the wait. http://www.dfs.co.uk/sofas/leather-sofas/dazzle/ this is the style we have ordered. We are not getting that colour though (not mad enough). Instead, we have opted for dark brown.
I am not spending anymore money now until I have to. (We didn't actually buy the settee, its on finance for 2 years)

WotsThatLurkingintheHEDGE · 26/10/2011 18:06

Congratulations everyone on your great losses. I am going back to basics this week as I am fed up with staying the same, in particular making sure I have 1/3 super free food. Please feel free to kick me up the bum if I mention the word biscuit.

Ooo new David Attenborough serial is on.

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/10/2011 21:16

Well done everyone.
And ria - 4lbs this week on top of 6lbs last week - blimey!

Chipskilartar · 26/10/2011 21:30

I'm back! Thanks to everyone for their lovely welcome's, and I must say what fabulous losses you've all had - you're all such an inspiration. I have a lot of weight to lose 'officially' but think I will be happy for a couple of stone for starters!

I've had a good day, eaten everything I should (I think) and not been hungry. Still having problems accessing the website, and now can't get in on my home computer Angry so can't update my food log or plan for tomorrow (eek!). I feel a bit ripped off to be honest Sad

kid · 26/10/2011 21:34

chips, have you seen out other thread with the recipes on?
They are tried and tested recipes so should taste nice. Maybe there is something there that can help you with meal planning.

Great losses everyone. I bailed out this week as I know I haven't been sticking to plan so I didn't want to punish myself by knowing how much I've gained. Plus I didn't want 2 gains in a row. Ignorance is bliss Grin

Back to it tomorrow, thats my plan anyway.

Chipskilartar · 26/10/2011 21:36

Thanks for that kid, I'll have a look for it.

grinningzombee · 26/10/2011 21:38

Wow! Well done everyone [hsmile]

I just totted up the total loss of everyone on the list tonight. It's a staggering 16st 7.5lb! And that's what I weighed at 9 months pg with ds almost a year ago.

Amazing.

Keep up the good work, and yes Hedge , and also if you mention tins of chocs! [hwink]
