Gammon in coke? WWHHAAATTT???!!!!

kid · 06/09/2011 00:52

I won't be making it again!

grinningbee · 06/09/2011 02:14

Morning all.

Ds is doing another of his nightly numbers on me. Been up since 1.27. Yay. Why does he do this when I have to be up early to drive dh about Angry.

Yum to party rings. Dd likes those, and I snaffled one a couple of weeks ago. Very nice.

Gammon in coke - done in the full fat stuff it is very nice, and I was going to ask how the diet coke version was Kid but I think I know now!

Ria are you able to take a break in your studies? Forgive me if I've asked that before and you've said. I have a brain like a sieve Grin

Got a bargain on ebay tonight. Bought some new knee high boots for £24 that should have been £65. And then dh told me he has a "thing" for boots... Hmm

grinningbee · 06/09/2011 08:33

Morning again!

Quick off topic rant - so, ds finally went to sleep at 4.30. I couldn't drop off straight away, had just dropped off when he woke again at 5.15 Angry. 15 minutes later he went back off. Dh woke me at 6 to tell me he would let me have a lie in and I didn't need to take him to work after all AngryAngry Woke me again half an hour later, and then the dc were up and squeaking.

I feel so good today Hmm

Anyway. It is my dod today, and I am keeping everything crossed that I will get into the next stone down.

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a nectarine
Cheese triangles on toast
Leftover pork meatballs and more broccoli

It is very dark, miserable, wet and windy here. Just put the bins out and nearly got blown away!

ameRIAcansmooth · 06/09/2011 09:19

good luck bee.

I have to endure that most undignified of medical testing of womens things today. Have been awake since 5am panicking about it.

I would love some long boots this winter, but don't know what I would wear them with.

grinningbee · 06/09/2011 10:04

Thanks Ria

I tried some boots on yesterday, and dh got an odd glint in his eye... yikes. When my ebay ones arrive I shall be wearing them with my jeans, and I am going to get either some thick leggings or woolly tights and that black and white dress. Being a shortarse means it will look more dress like on me than intended, ha ha.

Weigh in done, and so now eating my brekky. Dd has just stolen my nectarine Hmm.

Can anyone tell me where to find the enthusiasm to clean the bathroom please?

OP posts:
grinningbee · 06/09/2011 10:05

Good luck for the "test" today too Ria. I really should book myself in for that, but our nurse is eeeevil

grinningbee · 06/09/2011 12:55

Oh lord, I bored you all to death, didn't I Sad

OP posts:
ameRIAcansmooth · 06/09/2011 14:06

done, but may have to be done again.

not bored to death, work got in the way.

so tired today, and it's not the boys fault, its just me being rubbish at sleeping.

hoping to go to a class at the gym tonightShock

DH has an interview tomorrow. hope it's a good one as I can tell he starting to think he wants to go back to his last job Confused. He has his post-op check up on Thursday. Don't think he is any better though.

Hedgepig · 06/09/2011 14:31

is it Doom day/ or have we stopped while I was on holiday? If no one else is doing it I'm happy to compile the list later this evening.

Ria I hope DHs interview goes well, will he be able to work with his sholder not being fixed?

kid · 06/09/2011 15:49

Had a long day at work, well it felt long anyway. Probably because I was still awake gone 1am and was up at 6:30am

Not long been in, dinner is done (did beef stew in slow cooker this morning). DD has swimming lesson at 5 and I have gym class at 6:30. I have also brought some work home (displays) which I plan to do this evening. Got to iron DC's uniforms as they go back tomorrow. I also need to fit in some time to eat. I'm sure it will all work out just fine.

I'm on my phone so can't reply to personally, I'm on my phone most of the time which is why I rarely talk directly to people. It's not because I'm rude and just think about myself, honest!

kid · 06/09/2011 15:50

Just to add, I did a start weight yesterday but will still do DoD tomorrow. It's also star week so not sure what the loss will be for 2 days but I'll give it a shot anyway seeing as I am being very good food and exercise wise.

grinningbee · 06/09/2011 16:24

It is proper doom day tomorrow Hedge. I always have weighed on a Tuesday and tried to keep it quiet until the Wednesday. Normally very badly Grin

I know Cheese is away, not sure if she's still doing the list this week or not. I'm sure she'll let us know later Smile.

Ria good luck for dh tomorrow. Is there still time for the shoulder to improve?

Kid you sound busier than a busy thing. Slow down woman! Star week does slow things down for me, but I'm also wondering if the losses are going to start slowing now anyway. Mind you, still got at least 3 stone to go, if not 4. Crumbs.

I have cleaned, hoovered, mopped (and been "helped" with the mopping), washed up yet again and hung a load of washing on the airer. Oh, and put up the play tent for dd. I am now having a coffee before starting the teatime run.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 06/09/2011 18:01

Yes I'm here and lurking on my phone. Will do list tomorrow and reply properly to all!

Hedgepig · 06/09/2011 18:18

Oh its tomorrow Blush, I'm not firing in all cylinders today!

kid · 06/09/2011 19:31

Back from the gym and eating yummy dinner. I didn't feel faint tonight but did find it difficult.

Just nagging DC to have a bath and then it will be my turn. I haven't ironed any uniforms yet so that will be next on the agenda.

Good luck for DoD everyone Smile

SlinkyB · 06/09/2011 20:49

Wow kid , can't believe you went to gym when you had so much to do and so little sleep last night! Bloody well done, there's no way I would've made it.

bee Sorry ds had you up again too, sounds like you'll be getting a lot less sleep in soon anyway, what with new boots on their way and dp's, erm fetish 'interest' Wink

Thanks everyone for your kind words, and to drpushka for the tissues.

I'm dreading DoD tomorrow. I haven't been particularly bad, but I've definitely not been good and have done zero exercise Sad

Anyone else torturing themselves tonight by watching The Great British Bake Off?! Dp's away hence no football :)

ameRIAcansmooth · 06/09/2011 22:27

hi guys. I did it! I went to a class at the gym!

bathed kids and got them ready for bed as requested by DH... they were still up when I got in, and DS3 had a total meltdown again (like last time I went outSad). Get a free zumba class tomorrow, so that's something to look forward toSmile

The job is only part-time, so DH might be able to cope with that (his last job was part-time when he started it - so he could cope - but it spiralled out of control)

don't expect my DoD will be good.

kid · 07/09/2011 00:14

ria if your DoD isn't good tomorrow, we will forgive you as long as you try harder next week Wink

I'm really pleased with myself for going gym as both gym buddies didn't go and it would have been so easy for me to stay at home. Someone at work said I'm doing so well so that gave me a nice little lift.

In the gym class, everyone is so slim which just makes me feel huge. At least I'm going though and perhaps I'll look like them one day? Envy

grinningbee · 07/09/2011 06:46

Kid you are far from huge, and like you said - at least you're going.

Ria Well done for getting to the gym.I bet it was nice to escape for a bit wasn't it? All though not nice to come back to a meltdown.

Slinky It's amazing what you find out about a person, even after almost 6 years together! Ds misbehaved again last night and has been up since 5.15, so I think I shall be far too tired for any silly games Wink.

Good luck everyone on DoD today Smile

Food for the day:

Weetabix and a nectarine
Beans on toast, apple and a yogurt
Shepherd's Lentil Pie

Big food shop today. I just pray I get round without any tantrums etc from the dc...

SlinkyB · 07/09/2011 08:24

Think my scales are broken! But in a good way Grin Tried to re-weigh but the battery has finally given up the ghost. Looked for new one to no avail (even emptied that kitchen drawer; you know, the one with the tape-measure, the fuses, batteries and all the other crap useful stuff).

Realised this morning, after a much better night's sleep, that although I wrote last night that I'd done "zero" exercise, I'd forgotten I did Zumba last Thurs and went on a 2hr walk with the family on Sunday, so that must've helped. Am trying to muster up enthusiasm for Shredding, but honestly don't think the knees can take it. Would prob start at L1 again as been so long, despite getting to L3 D5 Blush

Oh yeah, speaking of enthusiasm bee the only time I get any of that for polishing bathroom taps/mirrors is when we have a house viewing! Have you managed to find the inclination time yet?

grinningbee · 07/09/2011 09:14

Actually I did. It looked much better for a while. Then dh came home and did what men do Hmm. I have told him time and again to wipe the seat after he goes as he always manages to leave an "imprint" on the back of it.

Ds has just conked out on the floor so took him to bed Not surprising really seeing as he got up so early. I was all ready to go shopping too, but I don't want him to be grumpy in Sainsbury's. Oh well. I shall mn for a few minutes and have a cuppa!

Got a jumper on today and the heating. It's cold. Definitely shepherd's pie weather.

Oh, and yes, I have one of those kitchen drawers - it also contains small bits of plastic tat that I have hidden from dd, screwdrivers, bin bags and general "useful" stuff Grin.

OP posts:
ameRIAcansmooth · 07/09/2011 11:10

I have at least 2 cupboards like thatBlush but no drawers!

Just been to zumba and 20 min walk home. Time for a shower then another 20 min walk to school. Very time-consuming this gym/work thing.

Had a really bizarre conversation with DH yesterday about another mum on the school run and her probable choice of underwearHmm. I think men are odd, however long you have known them!

Dod not good, but it is over 2 weeks, and I was on holidayWink, and there has been much alcohol.

good luck!

Cheeseandbiscuits · 07/09/2011 15:31

Hello everyone.

Am back from a visit to Plymouth. Had a lovely break.

Only bee has PM'd me! COme one everyone, its the DoD!

grinningbee · 07/09/2011 15:52

Glad you had a lovely time Cheese.

I need to lose at least 1.5lb this coming week. That 3 stone mark is taunting me Grin

Oh... and ds has just attempted to pull himself up against the sofa. EEEEEK! He was unsuccessful this time, but now he's started I do hope he sleeps tonight.

Change of menu tonight - no longer shepherd's pie as dh wants sausages. So it's sausages, bacon, eggs and tomatoes.
