How many syns in a glass of wine and half a bottle of vodka. hic

Sofabitch · 24/09/2011 07:48

Envy.

grinningbee · 24/09/2011 08:45

Morning all!

Well, seeing as I was on holiday but still weighed in, I think I am going to have my "holiday" from weighing in this coming week. Yes, you can read that as "OMFG I am a lardy sausage, and how is it possible to put that much on in the space of 5 days". We're also having a couple of extra days out, so technically I am still on holiday WinkGrin.

From the list of crap food I forgot to mention the McD's we had, and the fudge. When I fall off the wagon I really do it, don't I Blush

The holiday was not good. The place and caravan park itself were lovely (Haven at Caister) but a few things happened that were most unpleasant, not to mention that I was up every morning with the dc between 6-6.30 while others had a lie in... and I got up with them both through the night too.

Ah well. I am looking forward to doing the next food shop and getting somthing healthy down me. One morning I woke up, and the pizza from the night before still felt as though it was in my throat. Yuck.

Cheese glad you are on the mend, and I can't believe you are contemplating gym again already!

Oh no that sounds like a nightmare holiday.

kid · 24/09/2011 09:11

My friends dad lost his battle with cancer and passed away late last night. He suffered for long time so it's a relief he is now out of pain.

Sofabitch · 24/09/2011 09:47

Kid I'm sorry to hear that. Sad

ameRIAcansmooth · 24/09/2011 10:19

so sorry kidSad hope the family can find some comfort and peace.

bee that sounds fabHmm We have been by the sea twice this week, and I have a yearning for a Haven-type holiday! There is something about the coast in the autumn that calls to me.

it's soup-Saturday again - spicy lentil and cannellini bean today. Not sure if the boys will like it as it's not smooth.

lol sofa, sounds like you had a good night. I suppose eggs are out of the question?Wink

Cheeseandbiscuits · 24/09/2011 10:48

Sorry to hear that kid. He is at peace now, thinking of you.

bee you did crash and burn in style Wink. SOrry you didn't have the best time, you should have kicked people out of bed to help you.

sofa haha, poached egg and baked beans on toast?

All going well here diet wise. I am shattered though. Popping into the next sale in a minute, hoping to get some bargains for me DD.
Food:
B: Scrambled Eggs on toast
L: Lentil soup
D: Home made pizza. I don't care about syns but will buy a thin base, low fat mozzerella and roasted veg.

Sofabitch · 24/09/2011 12:35

I went with a massive chicken salad. Am now going to sleep. Lol

kid · 24/09/2011 16:05

Thanks for the kind words. My friend seems to be coping very well. I guess it was a long time coming and it has put an end to his suffering.

I went to lakeside today and managed to drag dh in to next. I bought a few things including a size 12 jeans. They'll never fit but they were only £10 and I'm
Sure they'll fit at some point.
I also got some much needed boots but they are probably too high for work so I still need to buy another pair.

Dd wasn't even with me but she managed to get loads of clothes too. Ds decided he'd wear jeans if I bought dark ones so o did (he currently lives in tracksuits) but as I wouldn't buy him new shoes, he said he won't wear the jeans!

Dh wanted pie & mash but I insisted we had jacket potato. He wasn't over the moon but he agreed Grin

grinningbee · 24/09/2011 16:44

kid so sorry for the loss Sad

Ria Haven are doing an autumn sale - about £79 for a few days between now and the end of October if I remember correctly. Mind you, that is for one with no heating in the bedrooms like we've just had - and we were perished at night. I put dd to bed in woolly tights and a polo neck jumper!

Off to Skegness tomorrow for the day. More bad food probably. And we're having a takeaway tonight. But come Monday morning and all the fudge is gone I am back on it 100%. Already bought fruit, ff yogurt and my trusty cheese triangles Grin

I am hoping the scales are wrong, as if they're not I've put on about 5lb in 5 days Shock and that cannot be right... Hmm

OP posts:
Cheeseandbiscuits · 24/09/2011 17:06

kid impressed with the jacket potato. Is your DS a teenager? Grin

bee enjoy your takeaway. We are having home made pizza, yum yum. And I dont care that it is full of syns.

Popped to the shops earlier, bought some size 12 chinos, v pleased that they fit. However, I walked up a hill and it nearly killed me, had horrible chest pain after. Clearly not quite as well as I thought I was so slept this afternoon.Sad

GettinTrimmer · 24/09/2011 18:07

Hi all. Can I join? You all sound like you know what you're doing with sw!

I've done sw for 2 weeks now, first week I lost 5lb, second week I gained 0.5lb, but that was my fault, something to do with drinking too much fruit cider and not counting those syns.

when I got on the scales at sw I found that I am much heavier than my scales at home, but she assured me they are very accurate. I have 2 stone to lose, I lost 1.5 stone last year but it's all gone on again Sad

ameRIAcansmooth · 24/09/2011 19:29

tempted by Skegness (my very superior friend lowers herself to going to Butlins a couple of times a year - I feel I am missing out!), we went on a Sun £9.50 to Mablethorpe once. We have been to Silloth a couple of times too (also a £9.50) it was like the height of luxury as we were in a chalet with a bath and proper beds, and unlimited electricity! We haven't been since DS3 arrived as we always used to drag my parents along too and 7 people is entering expensive territoryWink. Might have a look at some prices though.

Have had a brilliant food day today, but I am STARVING!!! Have to do major OU study too, so expect I will have a glass of wine later. And it's Calendar Girls on BBC 2...

ameRIAcansmooth · 24/09/2011 19:30

welcome trimmerSmile

thankfullyHmm I am completely skintSad so can't wizz up to the shop and buy crap/order takeaway/do anything fun!

kid · 24/09/2011 19:45

cheese, my DS is 9 but as stroppy as a teenager.
He just stormed up to his room because I told him for the hundredth time to stop trying to tune the guitar in as he will snap the strings.

We had pie and mash tonight, it was okay but not worth all the syns Sad

kid · 24/09/2011 19:47

I'm going shopping for a new settee tomorrow, I doubt we will find anything as we are only going because our old one is completely ruined rather than because we want to get a new one. I'm all shopped out after today!

grinningbee · 24/09/2011 20:08

Welcome Trimmer Smile

Cheese you'll get there, and very Envy at the size 12's. Well done you!

Ria The holiday we've just been on was a £9.50 one, as have been the last 4 we've done. Once we got given one of the top notch caravans. Not sure how, but it was luverly Grin. Mablethorpe has a lovely beach. I want to try one of the parks near Filey next year - providing we're going to go again!

OP posts:
Sofabitch · 24/09/2011 20:19

I bought new scales yesterday. And
I'm still over Hal a stone lighter on them than I am on the slimming world scales. So I know what you mean trimmer.

Finally feeling human. I've just had a massive fry up. Mmmmm bacon eggs mushrooms tomatoes and beans. It really cures me Grin an was all free Grin

ameRIAcansmooth · 24/09/2011 21:08

good luck with that beeWink. I did some cleaning in one of those parks once. I lasted a week because I was too thorough and it took me too longBlush. A friend of ours went to Reighton Sands and hated it (dirty and eiher electric or gas went off). Think Primrose Valley prob has the best facilities, though am not sure (can check for you nearer the timeWink).

Cheeseandbiscuits · 24/09/2011 21:20

Urgh just ate 1/3 tub of half baked Ben and jerrys. So it will be a gain for me! Sad

kid · 24/09/2011 22:24

I've got the biscuit tin next to me which was recently stocked up with cookies. I feel really sick now, serves me right I suppose. Sat in front of the TV makes me get the munchies. Oh well, another gain for me this week maybe? I bloody hope not! I think I'll work extra hard at the gym tomorrow.

Cheeseandbiscuits · 25/09/2011 06:02

Glad I had the ice cream, bar 3 hours I have been up all night with DD Sad

grinningbee · 25/09/2011 08:48

Ria is that area your stamping ground then? It was the Blue Dolphin one we were thinking of - unless you know not to!

Cheese Sad I was up from 1ish to 4.30 with a very snuffly little man. I ended up eating dairy milk at 3.30. Not good.

I found my SW book that covers 1996/1997. When I was at the weight I am now, I seemed to go a bit off of the rails, and it then took me 9 months to lose another stone Shock. Bloody well isn't going to take that long this time. Off to Skeggy shortly, and hopefully the sea air will wake me up a bit. And for anyone who has seen my profile pic on FB, I am planning on buying that hat today Grin That was where I tried it on when dh took the pic.

Normal eating tomorrow. Can't wait!

Hope you all have a nice Sunday Smile

OP posts:
pixiestix · 25/09/2011 09:23

Haha, that is a fab hat Bee! Grin Sorry your holiday was so crap, it sounds like you needed all that bad food to keep you from throttling someone. At least you had an excuse - I have fallen off the waggon MASSIVELY this week with no excuses whatsoever. I seem to have an over-active self-destruct button. As soon as I get near one of my min-targets of get a decent weight loss I seem to do everything I can to mess it up for myself Sad

Sad Cheese that sucks. You should be convalescing, tell your DH to get out of bed when she cries!
