I'm sure alcohol has gone up
Since I last did slimming world. I'm sure it was 2 syns for spirits and 5 for a glass of wine last time.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 17/09/2011 22:31

You mean a glass of wine is more than 5?!?!
Just had 2 in the pub, having another now Blush.

kid · 17/09/2011 23:40

I was really tempted to open the pimms tonight, just so I could test it you see.

We just watched jackass 3. OMG, some parts were hilarious but other parts nearly made me puke! I reckon DS would like it, but some scenes wouldn't be suitable so he won't be watching any of it.

LittlePushka · 18/09/2011 00:16

Oi, dodgers! This is a fat lass class not a saloon!!! Put your bottles back in the brown paper bags and brew up some nettle tea! (Pimms is lovely though, as is sloe gin - both of which are served best neat in half pint glasses

Can anybody recommend a good hand cream for really dry, sandpapery hands ...you know the type which ladder your knee highs just as you are preparing to put the bloomin' things on your legs.

I have the hands of a Liverpool stevedore,...and if I rub my face any more I will get a free facial peel.

Sofabitch · 18/09/2011 07:18

It's 6 syns for 175ml glass of wine 7 if it's sweet wine. I was good and had a 2 syn options hot chocolate Although that's only because I'm not allowed to drink at work Grin otherwise I would I also had 1 Chinese chicken ball last night. I can't find the syn value for 1 any where so I'm going to say 5/6 syns which is what I guess everything at that I don't want to know

Sofabitch · 18/09/2011 07:23

Sorry forgot a load of full stops Blush typing on phone and vv tired so ad a few full stops in your hear and that should make sense. Also food for today
B- apple and banana and yoghurt and a hifi bar
L- salad and cottage cheese
D- lamb rogan Josh
S- fruit yoghurt.

Oo top tip I've been freezing blueberries and grapes. And then eating them frozen they take aged to eat then rather than scoffing in 2 seconds flat.

grinningbee · 18/09/2011 08:00

Morning all!

Seems like I missed the party last night with all the Pimm's and stuff Grin

Kid dh also put Jackass 3 on. Omg! I felt physically sick at the sweat drinking bit - and the explosive poo bit.... speechless. It was funny though.

We are packing today. Hopefully shouldn't take very long. Hurrah. Been up since 5.30 with the dc, so feeling top drawer Wink.

Food for today:

Weetabix and a banana
Cheese triangles on toast and a clementine
Beef bolognese and some broccoli

It all goes to pot tomorrow...

ameRIAcansmooth · 18/09/2011 09:24

morning all.
I made pimms for the first time when we went to my sisters the other week. The quantities were on the bottle, we put in strawberries, orange, lemon, lime apple and cucumber. The mint was revolting, and I gave away all our borage in decorated pots to teachers at the end of last year (assuming that teachers drink pimmsWink)
not very popular with DH as I keep falling asleep when I put the boys to bed, and can't wake up to get up and watch- his choice of tv-- spend quality time with him. all I seemed to do yesterday was prepare food and wash up. Though we did nip into town for paint and wood, and random craft items for the wooden bunting enterprise.
am meant to be going to see Dsis and her kids play in a concert today, but there's only me and DS3 want to go. I can't see DS3 sitting still and quiet for a minute (it's in a church, and there's something about my boys and churches...) so I don't suppose I'll be going
at least I have soup and casserole to reheat today, and have tomorrows soup recipe in mind already!

have a lovely Sunday Smile

kid · 18/09/2011 10:19

I've saved my pimms for today, with the mood i'm in, I might just guzzle the whole bottle by myself!
I've managed to p dh off massively and have escaped to the gym.
I don't understand why I should be the one to tidy the entire house when his family have invited themselves for dinner. I think I'll let them all know today that I hate cooking and all the washing up i have to when they all descend on my house. See if they take the hint Grin
I' making a sw meal, not sure how well that will go down, not that I care lol

I am being such s mealie but I'm not inter mood today. Maybe I'll feel better after cardio combat class?
Have a lovely Sunday

Weigh day tomorrow. eek. Sure I have lost.

Ate quite a bit of nutella yesterday while making some pancakes for the kids. How many Syns in a tablespoon? I had about 3 tablespoons. Blush

I don't really drink. It's sweet stuff that's my downfall. Biscuits/chocolate/cake...YUM. Drool.

Does anyone know what's happened to Batchelors low fat super noodles? They're not very healthy but they were nice sometimes!

Have a good Sunday all!

Dawndonna · 18/09/2011 12:43

B-Scrambled eggs on toast, vanilla Muller light.
L. Two slices wholemeal bread, babybel light.
T. Veg and pasta stew.
COFFEE CAKE!!!
:)

kid · 18/09/2011 17:41

Yum yum, I really like pimms!
Dinner went well although I now have a mountain of washing up to do plus the ironing and dh wants his hair cut.
Think I'll have some more pimms first Grin

Sofabitch · 18/09/2011 17:57

Our dinner is cooking. Dh is moaning at me that if he keeps eating like this he will start to loose the weight he tried so hard to put on Angry Angry I could actually smack his skinny arse him. Anyway good day again today. Although I'm not feeling particularly confident! Sad I wish I had some scales at home.

I've never had pimms. Blush is it nice. ? I'm going to really miss baileys in coffee this winter.

SlinkyB · 18/09/2011 18:12

kid Why do you you the dishes if you cooked? We have a rule in this family: whoever cooks doesn't touch the dishes.

Been lurking, not a lot to report, had lovely weekend and ate farrrr too many syns -whoops!

sofa If you've been sticking to plan most of the week, and have only just started SW then you are bound to have lost this week - don't worry!

bee Hope you have a relaxing break with your family (lots of help from dp and MIL with a bit of luck?!).

Sofabitch · 18/09/2011 18:25

I agree with slinky. Cooking and cleaning are never done by the same person. Although I have a few trained slaves for that one Grin

kid · 18/09/2011 19:07

Well, they all sodded off home and left me with the washing up. I've done one lot and the draining board is full. I'll dry them off soon and no doubt fill it up again.
Dinner was lovely and I told them all it was a healthy SW meal although I did end up putting some olive oil on the potatoes to brown them off. It was a huge sucess! I'm not sure the chocolate fudge cake was such a good idea but of well, I'll expect a maintain or small loss this week. At least I've been to the gym to help balance out some of the syns.

I really hoe DH won't mind me cutting his hair tomorrow, I'm far too tipsy to cut anyones hair tonight lol

It must be close to DCs bedtime? I just want to laze in front of the TV and do nothing.
Depending on what time DH gets home tomorrow, I might venture to the gym. might I said!

grinningbee · 18/09/2011 19:23

Kid if dh didn't help with the dishes - cut his hair now while you're tipsy Wink

Slinky we're going tomorrow. Wish me luck, and thank you for the good wishes. Today has been awful. The kids have played up something chronic, and dh played on the pc and watched 1 game of rugby and two of football. Hmm

Sofa tell him to eat a bar of chocolate! Honestly, have these people never heard of being supportive Angry.

We've had a huge disappointment today. We're trying to do a homeswap, and thought we'd got one. Someone had a place with a big garden and 3 bedrooms (ideal), they want to downsize and asked if they could swap. I stupidly got all excited, but we were let down today and I feel like crying.

Oh well.

Onwards and downwards. Weigh in for me a day early tomorrow, but I don't think anything has shifted. Bum Sad

Sofabitch · 18/09/2011 19:48

Oh no bee. That sucks Sad I've been there so many times. We only got this place in february. But were waiting years. Hopefully the perfect place is round the corner.

kid · 18/09/2011 20:04

bee everything happens for a reason so hopefully there is another property waiting for you, hope you aren't waiting too long for it!
I waited 3 years to get my mutual exchange. We had a 2 bedroom ground floor flat and swapped for a 3 bedroom detached house with tiny front and back garden. I believe we were very lucky but we did wait 3 years.

I really hope you get that perfect place soon.

Hedgepig · 18/09/2011 21:52

Evening all I'm back from a lovely weekend in Edinburgh with a couple of my girl friends, but I have eaten and drunk sooo much. I actually feel pretty bloated and I'm looking forward to getting back on plan tomorrow

bollocks about the house bee Sad

LittlePushka · 18/09/2011 23:48

Nice to see you back in class Podgepig Grin! I trust you are wearing something tartan _tins of petticoat tails do not count by the way)

grinningbee · 19/09/2011 01:11

Glad you had a good time Hedgepig

Thanks about the house guys. I must try not to get excited if anyone ever shows interest again. We've been trying to swap for getting on for a year.

Ds woke at 12.30 Angry and won't feed back to sleep, so I'm waiting for him to wear himself out again . Really didn't need this tonight.

Morning all, just a lightning raid to mark my place so you don't think I've fallen off the wagon. Its my turn for the lurgy and I've felt rubbish all weekend, going back to bed after the school run.

kid · 19/09/2011 08:16

Sorry to hear the lurgy is still doing the rounds. I hope it doesn't know where I live!
