Oops we're full up again! Hope it's OK to start a new thread. Come on Jillian devotees, let's keep up the good work and the great results!

Hi threesteps! Not quite there yet. Was planning to start on Weds but didn't really feel up to it and had to do DP's tax return (oh the glamour of my life Grin ). Feel OK in myself but am still coughing a bit so I'm going to leave it until Monday. Might have to ease myself in with Davina but I really want Jillian!! Don't blame you for wanting to leave L2 behind, but it sounds like you've been doing really well, as has everyone else! Keep it up and hopefully I'll be joining in next week x

Sounds like you're doing the right thing to leave it until you're completely better Knotty, don't worry...Jillian will still be there!!

5lbs notyummy?? That's phenomenal, well done!!

Good luck with BFBM today Ouchy and L2 6W6P waiting in the wings! Is it L2 she really turns on Maddie lol? Would have made me chuckle if I wasn't so out of breath at the time!

Ouchywawa · 25/11/2011 17:02

Er, why is it called 6W6P when there are so many squats and lunges??!!!

I decided to try L2 instead of BFBM...I was almost delirious by the end - twist, lunge, arms through one way, legs through the other. I lost all sense of time so when Jillian said it was time to do the whole circuit again I almost cried. Oh well, had to have done some good?

So impressed with your weight loss notyummy - I might have to try some pure protein days before our Christmas holiday. Maybe I should order the low carb or seafood meal on the flight...

notyummy · 26/11/2011 15:31

It's hard isn't it Ouchy?!!

Dh and I double shredded this morning (L2 & 3). I haven't done that for a while and that was hard. Used a mixture of 3kg and 5kg and had move down weights halfway through the second set in L2- the lunge and pull followed by the alternating lunges and hammer curls. Did the first lot with 5kg and thought I was going to die! Also suffered through my nemisis- the jumping lunges!! I always seem to do them following a run (was running yesterday) when my quads are already tired, and doing them kills me....

Hope you are having fun weekends- with perhaps the odd brush with Jillian?!

notyummy · 27/11/2011 14:52

NMTZ before breakfast this morning!

Depending on whether the wind subsides I will either be going for a run (in the dark...) tomorrow evening or 6W6P.

knottyhair · 27/11/2011 16:39

I assume that's the weather you're referring to, notyummy Grin.

Morning! Decided to try a workout this morning and went for Davina Top Fit (going to work myself up to Jillian!). I think it was just as well, had a bit of a coughing fit after one of the cardio intervals (and they're much easier than Jillian's). Used 3kg and some of the moves were quite challenging for me after 2 weeks of not doing anything really. Think I might stick to Dav for this week and maybe get back to Jillian on Monday. Hope you all have a good day x

Morning all; lost you for a while but I'm back.

V wise to build up slowly, Knottyhair; no point in Jillianing unless you know that your bod is up for it.

Fabulous weight loss, notyummy, and I am trembling at the idea of a double shred...

Personally I am resolutely but dully just shredding every day apart from one day at the weekend, and doing al levels in rotation, but making L1 harder by using 2kg weights for cardio, adding weights to first crunches and legs to the chest ys (or is it vies?).

Milestone today; managed my first L2 with 2kg all the way through this am; usually traded down for the v-raises....

Jacksterbear · 28/11/2011 16:56

knotty, well done for getting back on the exercise wagon; and Venetia welcome back and good work on the 2kgs!

Just done NMTZ circuits 1-4 and 7. Wanted to do it all the way through, as needed a bit of a kick start after a week of no exercise, but the surrenders in circuit 4 just about finished me off, so skipped to 7 after that!

Jacksterbear · 28/11/2011 19:01

p.s. my DS (4) wandered into the bathroom as I was having my post-exercise bath and commented "You have very fat legs Mummy". Er, thanks DS!! (This was after he had been doing the exercises along with me and said of the surrenders that "these are very easy for me".) Grin

knottyhair · 28/11/2011 19:45

Jackster, aren't they just precious when they come out with this stuff? Two & a half stone down and and my DS still sings "jelly on a plate" when he sees me in the nuddy Grin.

knottyhair · 28/11/2011 19:46

Oh and Venetia, congrats on sticking with the Shred and getting through the V raises with 2kg!

notyummy · 28/11/2011 20:34

Jackster- my DD likes to mock my 'big fat boobies'.... I am a 32A!!

Great work ladies. Managed a short run tonight. Particularly pressed for time this week.

Jacksterbear · 29/11/2011 18:38

Grin @ "jelly on a plate" & "big fat boobies" (oh how I'd like to have the latter!)

threestepsforward · 29/11/2011 21:53

Just a quickie to say hello!

Back from my weekend and about 2 stone heavier after the most enormous Thanksgiving feast...plus all the left overs I was sent home with! Jelly jelly jelly on a plate here Grin (no big boobies here sadly)

After a longer break than I wanted, I did my final L2 Shred tonight and will be revisiting L3 tomorrow...hurrah!

Hope everyone's well, nice to see you again Venetia Smile

threestepsforward · 30/11/2011 21:37

Day one of L3 the Sequal - done!

Loved it! Though it was hard. I don't remember the walking plank things at the very beginning being as hard as they were

notyummy · 30/11/2011 22:04

Well done Threesteps! I find those walking planks things quite easy tbh, but the jumping lunges kill me EVERY time. I am doing L3 tomorrow myself actually. Have been really pushed for time recently. Managed a short run on Monday, a 5 mile run today as I was working from home and will try and shred after work tomorrow.

threestepsforward · 01/12/2011 21:40

Happy Shredding tomorrow Notyummy, and well done on managing to fit the exercise in on the busy days!

I think I've pulled a muscle in my bum, if that's even possible Hmm L3 is obviously targeting very specific areas!

Night all Smile

VenetiaLanyon · 02/12/2011 10:20

I used to find walking planks easy until I realised that I wasn't coming high enough up, with hands directly under shoulders; and now I struggle...

V impressed that you actually have muscles in your backside, threesteps; I'm pretty sure I don't... Grin

notyummy · 02/12/2011 15:51

Burn Fat Boost Metabolism done!! Top tip for saving time - the first circuit is really easy so you can skip the warm up and use the starter circuit as the warm-up instead.

Off to Xmas ball tonight so almost certainly too fragile for anything tomorrow Grin Back on it on Sunday though - either running/Shred or NMTZ.

notyummy · 04/12/2011 17:19

Did a double shred with DH this morning before breakfast. Hard but felt virtuous afterwards! Short run in the freezing cold at 620am tomorrow before work. Ugh....

threestepsforward · 04/12/2011 18:30

Evening! Hope everyone's had a good weekend...

Hope your head wasn't too sore on saturday notyummy, and well done on the double Shred!

Did L3 today and discovered I must have enormous hands as I managed to hold my 2.5 and 1.5 kg weights in one hand to do those easy squats before the jumping lunges!

Might try and fit in some double shreds over this week, if I can manage it (physically!). I never learn. I buy various chocolate bits and pieces for Christmas and always end up eating them! Last year I ended up buying 4 chocolate bunny replacements. Chocolate and me cannot occupy the same space Grin

JelliBelli · 04/12/2011 21:38

Hello all,

Glad to see some familiar names still here and doing well. I've deserted you for the C25k threads....

I was just swinging by to ask some advice. I completed C25k some time ago and continued to 10k and still run regularly mostly but I need a dvd to use in place of running when it is too wet/cold/snowy to run. Notyummy (or anyone else) I know you have a good selection of DVDs - what would you recommend?

Many thanks, JB
