Thanks for the welcome niecie Smile We were told unless you get to the Emp.St. building before 9a.m. the queue is huge and as the humidity was killing D.H. we didn't rush anywhere!! It was high enough in the 41st. floor of the Hilton (I hate heights)!! just looking out of the window of our room made my stomach skip !!

One of the many great things about paul mckenna is you can just start where you left off can't you?

Re crawling I think you're possibly right I hope it doesn't frighten Ali too much!!

TheOriginalFAB · 04/10/2011 11:17

SOMEONE Talk to please on to nhsdirect, online said i need 999.

TheOriginalFAB · 04/10/2011 11:31

ringing gp now.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 04/10/2011 11:59

DS1 crawled in the June when he was 10/11 months, and then he was walking in October - so 4 months later. OMG. Shock
The thing is, that DS2 is massive, just massive. And really strong. He is like a mini front row Grin He wears 9-12 month clothes. He is just gigantic, so but cute and hilarious at the same time.

Awful night's sleep here, just awful. But DS1 has done all wees in the potty this morning, and poo, except for one small accident. So YAY! And Thanks for the calming words, especially pp :)

FAB - you alright?

ppeat - yes, that is what is so brilliant about PM. None of this guilt and having to over compensate. If I have had a bad few days then I just stop eating until I feel really hungry, and then start again.

Niecie - reading your post the other day made me really want to go to Pizza Express. I love those mini puddings!

TheOriginalFAB · 04/10/2011 12:03

I am in pain and don't feel well at all, getting worse. Waiting for out of hours doctors to ring me back.

ppeatfruit · 04/10/2011 12:33

Oh dear fab Shock hope everything's okay, have you got pain?

TheOriginalFAB · 04/10/2011 12:40

I have pain in my right shoulder blade. I can't go to the appointment they have offered me as I have to get the kids from school.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 04/10/2011 13:30

Fab I hope you get something sorted :)

DH and I have just had a lovely lunch together. DS1 at preschool, DS2 asleep. We talked, and smiled and relaxed, it was really, really nice.

Can anyone explain to me why it is that men find it so much easier than women to lose weight? He has been sort of PMing for about 2 weeks, and doing 1 mega exercise session a week - and he's lost half a stone! I'm not complaining Wink, but how unfair is that!! Grin

NiecieTheTerminator · 04/10/2011 13:49

Alibaba - My DS2 was massive too! He sat up unsupported on Christmas day 2003 and he was only 3.5 months old but you could tell from birth how strong he was. I thought I was going to have a massively early walker on my hands but thankfully he took until 8mths to crawl. He just seemed to prefer to be upright rather than bothering to crawl around on the floor. He is also born to be a rugby player - he has the build and looks vaguely ridiculous on a football field with all the skinny kids. We have been told he also has the hands for it. Just got to convince him rolling in mud is much better fun than earning millions for playing football for Liverpool - his current ambition in life. HmmGrin

FAB - hope you get sorted. If you are that poorly, I would go to A&E. It sounds bad.

TheOriginalFAB · 04/10/2011 16:37

Hello, I have to go to the out of hours doctors at 6pm. DH is coming home so I don't have to take the kids with me. My symptoms were a pain in my right shoulder blade which meant I could only do shallow breathing as it hurt too much to take a deep breath. Paracetomol hasn't helped and now I have a horrible taste in my mouth and I feel exhausted. Does thart sound like a pulled muscle to anyone?

ppeatfruit · 04/10/2011 17:15

FabIt does sound like a pulled muscle, have you been lifting any dcs or anything awkwardly? or carrying yr. bag on that shoulder with more than usually heavy stuff in it? Wishing you better

Ali my dH has PUT ON weight if anything 'Sort of P.Ming'!! We have reckoned his pains are caused by pork and pork products 'cos as soon as he stops eating it he feels so much better (he stopped for Lent) he looked better and walked about faster too.

TheOriginalFAB · 04/10/2011 20:03

Just got back from doctor. I went in with 1 problem and came out with3 different ones Sad. I have a virus, blood in urine, querying gallstones, on tablets.

NiecieTheTerminator · 04/10/2011 21:05

Oh FAB Sad

I was wondering if it was gallstones that was causing the pain - I didn't like to say as I don't think it is a good idea to try and diagnose people over the internet, especially when my only medical qualification is several years spent observing at Holby City!! Glad it was that rather than it being a heart problem though. Women experience heart attacks different to men and pain around the shoulders is one of them so I am not surprised the NHS website said call 999 earlier - it was unlikely to be that though given your age. Gallstones aren't good though.Sad

On the plus side, it is all fixable. Take it easy though, won't you. You sound really run down to have so many things wrong. Be kind to yourself. Smile

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 04/10/2011 21:24

Goodness Fab, what a litany! No wonder you are fed up. :(

TheOriginalFAB · 04/10/2011 21:34

I started a thread but you guys are my buddies so I will ask you. What are gallstones and why and how have I got them?

NiecieTheTerminator · 04/10/2011 21:56

Without googling to check, I think they are build up of something (calcium or is that just kidney stones) which build up in your gall bladder. The bile ducts get blocked by them which is what causes the pain. Sometimes you have to have an operation to have your gall bladder removed but not always these days. I think they can zap the stone with ultrasound to break them down and probably there is a drugs route too.

I think one of the risk factors is being overweight and eating a high fat diet - that was certainly the case with an uncle of mine who had them. Eating a fatty meal can cause an attack. I am sure that is not the only risk factor though. My uncle was very large at one point but ironically, it was not until he lost a lot of weight (7 or 8 stone) that he got the gall stones but apparently they can build up over a long period of time.

Are you going to have a scan to confirm you do have them or have you already had that today?

TheOriginalFAB · 04/10/2011 22:01

I am overweight but don't eat a high fat diet I don't think.

I haven't been scanned today. I am having a second urine sample sent away for more tests and have tablets for the tenderness in my stomach. The nurse said I need to go to my doctor next week.

NiecieTheTerminator · 04/10/2011 22:10

From what I have seen of your diet and what you posted on here, you don't eat a high fat diet as far as I can see. I am sure there are other risk factors just that the only people I know who have had problems have been overweight and I know weight and gall stones are linked. You might just be unlucky.

Do you feel any better for having been seen? Sometimes just a trip to the docs will make you feel better as the worry can make things worse - ime anyway. I hope the medication is working and you are able to get a good night's sleep.Smile

ppeatfruit · 05/10/2011 08:10

Oh poor Fab but it's good to know isn't it? It sounds like yr doc knows what they're doing. Apparently they can, along with the too much fat, also be caused by A. minerals in water or B. not drinking enough water Grin Take yer pick !!! Confusing i know!!

WhoresHairKnickers · 05/10/2011 12:37

Hi, I'm on my phone so sorry about the poor punctuation etc.
Fab you haven't done the lighter life diet or similar shake diet have you? Because that, apparently can cause you to have to have your gall bladder removed. Just a thought.
Hope you feel better soon and that everyone is ok. I seriously doubt ill be using my phone to Mn as its torture!

TheOriginalFAB · 05/10/2011 13:11

No, haven't done any of those diets. I have to see a doctor next week. Fed up with going to the blinking surgery.

I was meant to have my follow up appointment at the breast clinic and they cancelled with 2 hours to go. This is the second time they have cancelled, I guess that is how they get round their wating time targets Hmm, no worries about the patient worrying about results Angry.

ncjust4this · 05/10/2011 21:33

Hello everyone. I was having a moan about how much weight I have to lose and life in general and Alibaba told me to come and say hello here soooo, Hello. [Waves]

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 05/10/2011 23:57

Hello nc Smile Don't be put off by there being very little mention of actual food here Grin

I've done well today, followed the rules. The calmness is back Smile

It is so weird, my jeans (the ones I was so thrilled to be in a few weeks ago) are hanging off me, but I've only dropped a pound in the scales. V.bizarre but I'm glad I am not only going by numbers.

Alibabaandthe80nappies · 05/10/2011 23:57

Or else they have stretched, even post-washing Grin

ppeatfruit · 06/10/2011 07:50

Congrats. Ali it's fab when it clicks isn't it? Forget the scales 'cos as you said you KNOW you're loosing weight. I'm maintaining by keeping my muscles toned (i can feel them) by the doing the stretches every day, i'm not weighing.

Welcome nc don't be put off by us gabbbing away we are kind on here Smile
