Hi everyone,

I am just checking in - had an okay weekend but lots of drama so I am just marking my place until things settle down a bit here.

It has just dawned on me that is a serious possibility of me having to go to a wedding in June. aaarrrrgh. Perhaps a target like this will help focus my efforts. Smile

Any newbies want to add my I am heatherdrinkstea on mfp. I agree that checking out everyone's updates is inspiring.

whostolemyname · 09/01/2012 15:12

I had a terrible weekend but doing well today. One aerobics class and one bodypump class done today so happy about that. Eggs for brekky, beans on one slice toast for lunch. Probably chicken and veg for dinner and that will be a good day!

bexsybooboo · 09/01/2012 21:28

Welcome to newbies and returners, this is a great thread along with the MFP for positive kick up arse encouragement and support.

Had a very good day today Smile food wise and exercise wise.

I went for a run and managed to do 3miles 24 metres Grin love it, no distractions just music and running Smile

Am running on Wednesday with work friend who put me forward for 10k in March and am starting to feel a little anxious about this Blush, so used to doing it on my own and going at my own pace and in the dark so noone see's the very wobbly bits. Have made him promise not to laugh Hmm

Good luck this week everyone, sounds so far that everyone is having a good un Smile

Username on MFP is Bexsy, feel free to add me.

Terrible day food wise, travelling and snacking all day. Moment of truth tomorrow morning...

RGPargy · 09/01/2012 22:58

Hi guys

Terrible day for food today but i think i made up for it by going to the gym TWICE today. I did pump this morning and then went back this evening for step. I really need to up my game as far as cardio goes. Sometimes I just dont do enough! Hopefully now that xmas is out of the way and with only a couple of birthday's left this month, my food will be able to get back to normal and i can get back on track.

Off to a Jamie Oliver restaurant in Bluewater tomorrow for lunch with my friend (£££!!!) so will most likely go over my calories in one go lol. My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks so will no doubt be having cake and copious amounts of alcohol not only on my birthday but the week after too. Blush

Hope you all have a good day tomorrow!

magentastardust · 09/01/2012 23:34

Normally just use the app but finally logged on to lap tonight so have added a load more people -keeps me motivated seeing everyone elses progress although the amount of excercise everyone is doing puts me to ShameBlush!

jchocchip · 10/01/2012 07:21

Phew. Weighed in and I'm pleased to have not put any weight on over my hols. Not lost any, but that is not surprising considering some of the food and the last couple of days were well over my target. Feeling fitter for all the walking and c25k. Now I can get back to swimming and cycling and hopefully drop some weight!

ditavonteesed · 10/01/2012 08:01

yay lost 1lb today, and meqsured my waist lost 1" that shred is good although I dont really believe that must have been bloated or something cant lose 1" in 5 days. busy day today so should be ok again food wise, just forcing breakfast down as I dont normally eat it then get really hungry and eat everything in site.

ClicksArse · 10/01/2012 12:29

Hi Guys,

Just wanted u all to know that I haven't given up or abandoned you but I am having some massive things go on at home so I probably won't be logging or be around much.

I will however be back when I can give this the attention it deserves.

Much Love

Clicks

jchocchip · 10/01/2012 17:34

Ordered the 30 day shred on amazon but it will probably be a while before it arrives. Does anyone know what weights you need for it? The good news is that one of the boxes of Christmas chocs is finished. The bad: I ate far too many :( Oh well, a good day so far in other ways, and I'm going to leave some of my exercise cals uneaten from now on!

ditavonteesed · 10/01/2012 18:03

just had a great offer, goin g to be doing weight wtachers and helping out at the meetings, will still do mpf to track though as I am really liking it. double edged attack, I am really going to be slim this time. :)

RGPargy · 10/01/2012 20:40

Does watching an exercise dvd whilst sitting on the sofa actually count?? Wink

RGPargy · 10/01/2012 20:41

Dita - well done on the loss!! :o

Clicks - no worries, we'll all be here and if not, then deffo on the app! Come back when you can :)

piellabakewell · 10/01/2012 21:22

jchocchip - I have 1kg and 2kg weights, 2kg is mostly ok but I switch to 1kg for a couple of the exercises.

RGPargy - no, it doesn't!

I am snailrunner on MFP for anyone else who wants to add me.

We are doing an olympic challenge at school and we have all had to set ourselves a challenge, from nursery kids all the way up and including staff...so I have set myself a challenge of being able to run 10k (again - it's been about 2 years!) by mid-June. The motto is 'Be the best you can be'!!

jchocchip · 10/01/2012 23:01

Thanks. The weights I have are 4kg. Thought they were too heavy... Must look out some more!

bexsybooboo · 11/01/2012 06:53

Well wish me luck today. I am running with friend from work Hmm tonight who put me down for the 10k in March as he believed I should have a challenge, am thinking just to lose humongous lots of weight and get a little fitter was challenge enough Shock

Am terrified have never run with anyone before, totally worrying about looking like a donkey not very good. Have made him promise to ignore the following:
Heavy stalker breathing
very wobbly bits
snail slow pace

Oh and possiblilty I may have to walk for 5 minutes in middle of session Blush

Well if I no longer log you will know I have thoroughly embarrassed messed up and am ashamed lol

If I do log it is because I have surprised myself and didn't do okay, am hoping he's not as fit as I think he should be Smile

bexsybooboo · 11/01/2012 07:54

Just for a bit of inspiration I hope for me aswell:

I have a huge amount of weight to shift have done nearly 2 and a half stone but have at least another 3 maybe 3 and a half, but I looked in the patio doors this morning and I liked my reflection for once Blush

Even just losing what I have I look different and I look borderline healthy Grin, well it was enough for me to realise and believe I can keep going and lose even more Smile

Onwards to further weight loss and healthy lifestyle Smile

jchocchip · 11/01/2012 08:24

I have about 7 stone to lose (have already lost 2) and know all about wobbly bits. I'm already happier with my reflection though and the reason I'm going to try the shred is because I need to tighten up my skin... You are a star, Bexsy, never thought I would look forward to going for a run, but week 3 of c25k beckons :) Good luck running with your friend.

BarmyBiscuit · 11/01/2012 10:33

Just joined yesterday. I am loving it already and I am sure I will lose weight this way.My name is nickyh1976 if anyone want to add me

watchoutforthatsnail · 11/01/2012 13:08

hi all - still logging it all and doing well.
;) even brought cakes for dd yesterday from the bakery and i havent eaten one... amazing!

RGPargy · 11/01/2012 16:56

A lesson for you all - make sure you eat well after exercise! Burnt off almost 1,000 cals this morning and didn't have any lunch but just picked at stuff. On the way to taking DD kickboxing tonight I came over a bit dizzy twice!! Had to stop at the shop and buy a sandwich and some chocolate to get my energy levels back up. Now I have a not of a headache! :-/. Won't be doing that again! Blush

Eat well every one! Grin

RGPargy · 11/01/2012 16:57

Barmy - hello and welcome! Add me if you like! :-)

Snail - excellent restraint on the cakes, well done!

bexsybooboo · 11/01/2012 19:50

Oh my fxxxing life. I done my run with friend. Well what can I say. Let's start with I did enjoy it and felt such achievement after that I was buzzing but it was hard.

Am only 5 ft 2 so dont walk very fast and definately dont run fast but I did it, I kept up with him as best I can, stopped twice to walk but for less than a minute. Smile Bless him he walked with me but so encouraged me positively to get going again.

Thought I was going to keel over at times lol Grin but I did it. We did just under 3 miles which is a bit less then i've been covering but this is the bit I am still buzzing over I knocked 2 minutes per mile off my pace Grin

And we ran where there were people lots of them and I didn't mind. I usually go out late and where I live am lucky to see 3/4 people Smile

Jchocchip You go girl and carry on enjoying you will achieve everything you want. And proper well done Smile you are doing so well Smile

clpsmum · 11/01/2012 20:40
